The Divorced Heiress’s Revenge -
Chapter 2381
Chapter 2381
Drew asked, "Grant's uncle? Bella, what does this person have to do with you?"
Bella gazed up at the moon; her eyes were cold and unwavering. "I've always suspected that Lucas and Grant were secretly close; perhaps they are secretly collaborating on some unfathomable conspiracy.
"I believe he's a key breakthrough point. Getting close to him and uncovering his whereabouts could finally expose Grant's true colors and the secrets he's been hiding."
"Bella, you could have lived a carefree and happy life," Drew said as he looked at her sadly. "But for Justin's sake, you always put yourself in the line of danger."
"I can't just sit still. A calm and peaceful life doesn't suit my free-spirited soul," Bella replied softly. "Right now, looking at the Salvador family, it's clear the only real obstacle is Grant. If we can't expose his true colors, he'll continue to guilt-trip Justin under the guise of being his savior.
"On top of that, he would secretly play the victim to win over Chairman Salvador. If this continues, Justin's position would be in danger. It's like walking on thin ice. Besides, Justin is too kindhearted and overvalues loyalty. He'll always end up suffering for it."
Looking at Bella's determined expression, Drew felt his eyes well up with tears.
Bella was a determined and resilient person, willing to push herself to the limit and endure difficulties. But she could not bear to see her loved ones suffer, not even the slightest.
She brought the conversation back on track. "Lucas was secretly swapped out of Savrow's Fifth Prison by Grant. The man serving his sentence in his place is Jonah Ziegler, who has been made a scapegoat. The fact that this has gone unnoticed for so long shows they have insiders within the police and that the prison staff have been thoroughly bribed."
She continued, "If we try to investigate publicly through the officials, it'll only lead to more problems. If this scandal leaks, it will spark a massive scandal across the justice system in Savrow. The higher-ups would surely pressure them, ultimately leading to a cover-up. The scapegoat would likely lose his life, and we'd lose any chance of catching Grant off guard in the future."
Drew's expression grew solemn as he nodded. "I understand."
"Grant went to such great lengths to protect Lucas, which means this man is extremely important to him." Bella frowned, deep in thought. "But the Fowler family has long since fallen. What value could a convicted murderer like him, who's spent years rotting in prison, possibly offer Grant? That's the question I need to figure out."
"Lucas has likely already fled the country," Drew said, narrowing his eyes as he ran a hand over his chiseled jaw. "I wouldn't be surprised if Lucas has some kind of network or power abroad. Grant might be trying to use his uncle's resources to establish himself in Savrow and compete with Justin for the family inheritance."
"Power abroad?" That phrase instantly piqued Bella's interest, causing her to lean in closer.
Drew raised an eyebrow. "Think about it-how else could the crippled Grant possibly have the means to go up against Justin? Someone has to be backing him. Otherwise, he'd just be pretending, and that would be pretty stupid."
Bella said, "If Lucas has already fled overseas, we'll also need to keep an eye on Grant's movements. Wherever he's traveled recently might give us a clue to where Lucas is hiding."
"Bella, leave this to me," Drew said affectionately, pausing as his voice lowered. "I'll look into it. Starting tomorrow, I'll be busy tying up loose ends at work so I can step away completely. While I'm gone, please take care of Yvonne for me."
Bella's eyes turned red as she nodded gently. "I will."

After 72 hours in a coma, Justin struggled to wake from the darkness.
"Mr. Salvador! You're finally awake!"
"Justin! It's Grandpa!"
Standing by his bed, Nigel, Matt, and Ian's cheerful expressions gradually became clearer as Justin regained his vision.
"How long was I unconscious?" Justin asked, rubbing his throbbing temples.
With Ian's help, Justin got up and leaned against the headboard.
