"Ring, ring!" Brendon's phone rang again.

Brendon pursed his lips and finally answered the call. Ranita took the initiative to retreat to thelounge, closing the door behind her. She saw Brendon frowning with a not-so-good expression.

"Mom... since everything has already been decided, there's no need to talk about it anymore!"Brendon rubbed his forehead and spoke coldly to Amiya who was very emotional, "You shouldn't betoo agitated."

"Brendon! Do you even care about me as your mother? You suddenly decided not to divorce, haveyou ever thought about my feelings? You know I don't like Ranita." Amiya's tone was very cold. "Doyou want me to end up in the hospital because of anger?"

Faced with questioning, Brendon frowned even tighter.

"I think it's better if you stay out of my relationship with Ranita," Brendon said in a low voice.

"Brendon!" Amiya knew that Ranita was a sly fox. Over the years, Brendon had been very filialtowards her but now he was defying her for Ranita.

"Mom, is there anything else?"

"Brendon, if you don't care about me then what about Shannon? What are you going to do with her?How are you going explain this situation to the Murphy family?" Mentioning Shannon made Brendenfeel more annoyed than ever before.

"I will handle things between Shannon and myself. Don't worry," Brenden hung up the phone andloosened his tie while exhaling deeply.

In the lounge room, Ranita also returned a call on her phone to Dylan.

The atmosphere on their way home was quite tense.

"There isn't anything wrong at Boulderland Mansion, right?" As soon as they arrived home, Ranitaspoke first. Brenden held onto her hand, pulled her closer and hugged her tightly. He said, "Thereisn't anything wrong, don't worry."

Ranita murmured softly in agreement and wrapped her arms around Brenden. If they were notgetting divorced anymore, she would cherish their marriage well.

"Brenden... there's something I want to tell you today..." Ranita bent down slightly with an excitedlook. She wanted to tell him that he was going to be a father. Would he be surprised or happy?

Since they were not getting divorced, their thoughts would be filled with anticipation for their child'sbirth, and watching them grow up. Ranita felt so happy just thinking about it. Her heart wasoverflowing with intense love!

"You can say it..." Brennan cleared his throat. He could sense that Ranita was in good spirits.

Her citrus scent had faded, but it still lingered in Brendon's mind, bringing him pleasure. Histhoughts were scattered as he delicately kissed her earlobe.

The hot kiss made Ranita shiver.

"Don't move, just listen to me," Ranita grabbed his arm and spoke with a breathy voice that wasboth husky and soft. Even she blushed at the sound of her own voice.

She couldn't help but tease him.

Brendon lowered his head and took in every detail of her features. Ranita had beautiful eyes withdeep pupils that resembled a painting of a noblewoman when she wasn't smiling. But when she didsmile, she looked like a delicate white peony blooming in a flower garden – charming and alluring.

"I want to kiss you," Brendon said softly.

"You..." Ranita was annoyed that he interrupted her before she could finish speaking. But beforeshe could say anything else, he wrapped his arm around her waist and pulled her onto his lap.

The cramped space inside the car created an intimate atmosphere between them. As the carmoved along, the light cast shadows on Brendon's face while his deep gaze seemed to be engulfedby flames as he stared at her intently.

Ranita's mind raced like wildfire; heat surged through every inch of her body causing even her ears,cheeks and neck to turn red from embarrassment

"Don't look at me like that." She tried to shy away from his gaze but he gently held onto chin beforesealing their lips together passionately.
