Ranita closed the door and took it over fram Shannon. Shannon smiled, her face glowing with happiness. "Thanks, Ranita. Please give this toBrendon for me."

"Oh, and by the way, Ranita, you look beautiful today. Are you going to the Webster family’s birthday party later?”Shannon lightly touched her stomach while raising her eyebrows in a boastful manner.

Ranita felt uneasy inside.

“Ranita, I'll see you later. I have to go now," Shannon said softly as she turned around.

"Wait a minute, Shannon." Ranita called out.

"What's wrong?” Shannon lowered her eyes and tears immediately welled up in them as if she were pitifully helpless. "I'm just helping Brendon deliverhis watch here; is that not allowed? I promised Brendon that he could spend time with you today."

Her made-up face looked pathetic.

It was ridiculous how she acted like a wife who needed someone else's permission to let her husband accompany his own wife! As Ranita held ontothe box about to speak up. Shannon twisted her fingers and spoke first, "Ranita, please don't be angry okay? I'll leave right away."

"Shannon," Ranita said calmly but firmly. "Can we talk tomorrow?”"Do you have something important to tell me?” asked Shannon weakly while biting on her lip gently.

“Ranita-" But before they could continue their conversation further, Brendon's voice interrupted them as he opened the door from inside, "Shannon?What are you doing here?”

Shannon looked timidly at Brendon, "Brendon... I just wanted to give you the watch. I didn’t mean to intentionally seek you out."

"I'll leave now," Shannon swayed her body and turned to walk away.

"Ranita, you go inside first. I'll accompany her for a bit." Brendon said, catching up with Shannon's steps. Ranita watched their backs and gentlyclosed the door.

Brendon pressed the elevator button for Shannon. his tone cold, "You shouldn't have come here."
