Chapter 72 Ranita, You're Amazing!

“Is Brendon here with you?" Steve asked, pausing briefly. "If he is, please pass him the phone."Ranita remained still, but Brendon took the phone directly from her.

Brendon's expression turned cold, and his voice even colder as he spoke to Steve. "What do youwant?"

“Ranita isn't feeling well. Can you help her by getting her a cup of hot water and letting her rest fora while? I'll be there in about twenty minutes.”

After a moment of hesitation, Steve added, "Thanks, Brendon."

Brendon stayed silent.

"Are you telling me to take care of Ranita? She doesn't deserve that kind of respect!" Brendonsnorted lightly before ending the call.

Ranita felt a pang of pain in her stomach upon hearing his words.

What a terrible man!

To her surprise, Brendon actually poured her a glass of water. However, his gaze was peculiar as hesarcastically remarked, "Wow, Ranita! You're truly amazing!"

Ranita had never imagined Brendon could speak so strangely and arrogantly.

“Mr. Stuart, it's not necessary! I don't have the kind of respect that would allow you to take care ofme!" Struggling to get up from the sofa due to her discomfort, she continued, "I might not be ableto attend the video conference later."

“Just let me know what you need when I return.”

Brendon regretted his earlier words upon hearing what she said. Suddenly, he tightly grabbedRanita’s wrist and forcefully pulled her towards him. "Ranita!"

Still feeling pain in her stomach, she didn't want to argue with him any longer.

Her wrist was hurting, causing the woman to grit her teeth and say, "Mr. Stuart, you're hurting me!Please let go!"

“I'll take you to the hospital!"

“No need! Dr. Pearson will be here soon!" Ranita paused for a moment before a faint smileappeared on her pale lips. "The Nemotube video conference is something you must attend.”

Yes! Ranita could skip it, but Brendon had to be there!

This time, Rashid didn't participate in the meeting, and Brendon called Ranita back just to preparefor it. Her absence wouldn't affect the final outcome.

Brendon was growing impatient.

"You sit here and wait quietly! He asked me to take care of you!" It took Brendon some effort toutter those words after his earlier arrogance.

“I don't want to trouble you, Mr. Stuart..."

“Just sit down when I tell you to sit down and stop talking nonsense!" Brendon realized he wasbeing unreasonable now - he knew he should let go of what needed to be let go, but oncesomeone else picked it up, he couldn't release his grip!

Seeing Brendon's impatience, Ranita finally sat back down without moving or drinking the hot watehe had handed her.

Steve arrived sooner than expected.

He had said twenty minutes, but he actually arrived in fifteen.

"Ranita!" Steve didn't even take off his white coat due to his haste. He gestured at Ranita with hiseyes, and she secretly nodded in response.

Steve immediately understood. "I'll take you to the hospital first!"

Without acknowledging Brendon's presence, Steve bent over and hastily picked up Ranita beforerushing out, thanking him, "Brendon, Ranita isn't feeling well, so I'm taking her to the hospital now.Thank you for taking care of her earlier!”

From the moment Steve walked through the door, he and Ranita exchanged flirtatious glances as ifhe were invisible to everyone else. When Brendon heard this, he almost felt nauseous.

After all, Ranita was his wife!
