"Are you feeling better now? Where are you currently? Did you go to the hospital?" Chrisdisregarded Dylan's situation and inquired with a gentle tone.

"I'm at the hospital. I've already seen a doctor, and I'm feeling much better now!" Ranita blinked heleyes, replaceing Chris’ voice pleasant, which brought her a sense of relief.

"Thank you for your concern, Mr. Webster!"

Chris remained silent for a few seconds before speaking again, "Since there is a reason behind thisincident, let's just forget about it."

After uttering two more sentences, Chris ended the call.

“My brother hung up?" Dylan widened his eyes, realizing that the matter had passed without muchfuss. He felt somewhat dazed.

"Mr. Webster is not unreasonable!" Ranita handed the phone back to Dylan. "He said he will helpyou take care of it. Don't worry! Besides, this whole thing happened because of me. Next time I seeMr. Webster, I'll properly thank him!"

Dylan looked at his phone, then back at Ranita, resting his chin on his hand as he asked, "Ranita, areyou close with my brother?”

"He's close with Brendon.” Ranita had worked on several projects with Brendon before, and theyhad spent almost every moment together due to their previous relationship.

Ranita was also familiar enough with Chris.

"And Mr. Webster is easy-going!" Ranita smiled brightly, her lips even more vibrant than before,showcasing her beautiful facial features!

When she smiled, her colors became even richer, brighter than springtime sunlight, while her pupilssparkled like diamonds!

Dylan pursed his lips as he watched her smile. Suddenly, he felt jealous of Chris! She spoke sotenderly when mentioning him earlier and described him as easy-going!

As if... Chris could ever be considered easy-going!

Brendon from the Stuart family and Chris from the Webster family were both known for beingdifficult to approach in Kurima. Dylan didn't know much about Brendon, but as Chris's youngerbrother, he had grown up in his shadow.

“Ranita, you've changed!" Dylan grinned and snickered. "We've been friends for so many years, andI've never heard you praise me!"

"How do you know I don't praise you? I often praise you in front of Eve!"

"That doesn't count! Eve..." Dylan was interrupted by Ranita's ringing phone. He quickly stood up."Damn it! Why is Carl calling you? We haven't even settled things with him and Mia yet! How darehe call you?"

"Don't answer it! Let me handle it!"

"Dylan!" Ranita stopped him. "Let me take care of this.”

Ranita answered the phone. Carl's voice was low, and his emotions were clearly not good.

"Ranita, thank you for answering my call.”

"What do you want?" Ranita responded coldly.

“It's like this... Mia wants to apologize to you, but she feels too guilty to call herself! So... I thought...Ranita sneered, "If she wants to apologize to me, let her call me herself. Why are you calling me?"“Among the three people present, Mia had a closer relationship with Carl than anyone else; he couldbe considered her little henchman. Mia was capable enough but sometimes played dumb. Whenthere were issues that she could have addressed herself, she always directed Carl instead.

But these were all small matters that Ranita didn't care about anymore.

This time, Ranita wasn't going to back down.

“Carl... tell Mia to come replace me personally,” Ranita interrupted him directly before hanging up thephone without another word.
