The Elements -
Don't tell me that ever again
When she appeared on the screen at the Obstacle Race, she was wearing the usual outfit like the rest, but instead of snowflakes like Lincoln or stars like Sky she had a bright red flame. Her mark was a fiery red flame on her right temple and made her look more confident then she was and way more scarier.
I watched anxiously as she started her round, but my worries vanished when the voice announced that she scored 5 minutes and 1 second!!! I jumped from my seat and started to do a victory dance.
“YOU GO GIRL!” I yelled as I knew that she can hear me. The staff placed speaker in the bleachers and speakers all over the races so people can encourage the competitors.
Sparky faced the camera and winked and blew a kiss. After 5 minutes of resting she started her second round were she scored 5 seconds and 31 seconds! With those results she was the third one after Lincoln and Sky.
“THAT’S MA BITCH!” I yelled again and I saw here laughing and waving at the cameras. The rest of the competitors, the ones that had yet to compete were glaring at me from the other part of the bleachers.
“Why are you staring at me? You never saw a good looking girl motivating her best friend?” I said and glared back at them. “STOP STARING IT’S RUDE YOU IDIOTS!” I yelled when they kept staring at me.
They all looked frightened by my sudden outburst and turned away. To my disappointment, Sparky passed the third round while I was fighting with this idiots. Now she was waiting for her opponent for the Combat Round. After 5 minutes the I-forgot-his-name guy, stepped into the arena.
Her first match lasted less then 5 minutes. She beaten the crap out of that bulky guy in less than 5 minutes. I was speechless when I saw how fast she was, and how damn good she was. Her moves were fluid and very controlled as in she wanted to hit his jaw that’s where she hits, not somewhere lower or higher which can be a difficult thing to do.
Her next match was almost as easy as the first one, the only difference was that in this one, the girl she beaten, landed a punch to Sparky’s face. Wrong move amigo. I think that this girl will be all black and blue for a month. In her third match she had some struggles and some bruises but she won again. After her next match she was looking a little bit tired and she had a black eye and a broken nose. But at least she won.
“COME ON GIRL!! ONE MORE ROUND! YOU CAN FUCKING DO IT!” I yelled when I saw her hesitating for a second. When she heard me, she straightened up and walked with confidence into the ring. Her last opponent was a tall guy with broad shoulders. His posture gave away a powerful aura and I was a little worried about Sparky, doubt filling my mind. I think she can beat him, but I don’t know how bad her injuries will be.
I tried to block the view by covering my eyes with my hands, but it was useless as I was constantly peeking through my fingers. I was wincing and jumping every single time that guy hit Sparky. Unfortunately, it was a lots of times. Now, I was biting my nails as I was staring at the screen in worry.
Come on, come on! You have to do it girl!
As if God heard my prayers, Sparky bent down to get out of his way and she formed a sphere of fire and aimed at his stomach. That sent him flying into the closest wall and knocked him out, making Sparky the winner.
“YES!!! THAT’S MY GIRL! I TOLD YOU, YOU CAN DO IT!!” I yelled happily grinning like a maniac.
Sparky smiled tiredly at the camera and suddenly dropped to the ground. I almost started to freak out when I realized that she probably fainted from exhaustion and maybe some blood loss, but thank God that the medics move fast. I hope that besides that black eye, broken nose and horrible cut on her forehead, everything is fine.
I was pulled out of my daydreaming when I heard the lady calling me name and my heart started to beat faster.
This is it. This is the moment I waited and the reason why I trained so much. I’m going to give my best and win!
“The next concurrent is Shadow Renoir!”
And then my whole confidence flied through the window. I started to shake, but I straighten up myself and started to walk towards the door.
But what if my best is not enough?
“YOU CAN DO THIS, S! YOU ARE FUCKING AWESOME DON’T FORGET THAT!!” I heard Haz yelling at me.
“COME ON GIRL! I DIDN’T TRAIN YOU FOR NOTHING! BEAT THOSE FUCKERS!” and this one was definitely Ash.
I smiled and felt a little better. I clenched my fists and stepped through the door with my head held high. They don’t need to know that I’m afraid.
I realized that I arrived at the first stage when I heard gasping all over the arena. I smirked and walked to the start line.
Don’t hold back. Let it go.
Ashs words rang in my mind as I got into my start position and looked ahead determinate to win. My skin was tingling in anticipation and electricity flew through my veins.
“Ready....Set....GO!” I bolted through the cones and I could swear this is the first time my feet move so fast. The Agility Ladder was a blur and I felt like I was flying when I climbed the Monkey net. Only at the Log hop I slowed down a bit to not lose balance and crush on the ground, but I made up for the lost time at the sprinting section where I ran like my whole life depends on it.
I almost fainted when I passed the finish line and the lady announced “4 minutes and 58 seconds.”
I quickly pulled myself together when I remember that this score is useless if I failed the other stages.
I walked to my next round and got into my starting position. Like in the previous round, I ran as fast as I could past the field and the forest, and the river came into the vies. The swimming part was my weak spot, but I plan on making up for the loss at the sprint part.
I dived into the water and swam as fast as I could, avoiding all the rocks that appeared in my way. I was relieved when I jumped out of the water and ran to the cliff. I could almost laugh at the awesome sensation of freely falling through the air if I didn’t know what was at the bottom. I took a sharp turn when I was about to hit the ground and flied to the last section of sprint. After I crossed the finish line, I placed my hands on my knees trying to catch my breath a little.
“4 minutes and 1 second.” the lady said through the speakers and I smirked.
I walked to the next round where I had to open a door with my power. I gently placed my hand in the gap in form of a hand and I started to easily concentrate my power in it. I could see how the frame of the door stared to glow yellow as my power. Finally, after 2 minutes the door opened without a problem.
This is the easiest round from this whole damn exam.
I took a deep breath and walked into the ring. Here, a girl taller than me with a head and more fluffier than me, was waiting for my arrival. When she looked into my eyes, I smirked and glared at her at the same time. My smirk grew when she looked down.
Oh, my! If she’s scared by my glare it means that this round won’t be a problem.
When the lady announced the start of the fight, the stupid girl lunged at me. I smirked one more time and when she was about to ‘punch’ me, I raised my leg and kicked her right in the chin. She flied 1 feet through the air and then she hit the ground, knocking her out in the process.
The lady announced me as a winner since the girl stopped moving.
That was a lame one, not a easy one.
My next opponent was a slim and tall guy and when we made eye contact I glared and smirked at him too. He was scared, but at least he tried to hide it. I thought that he’s smarter than the first girl, but when I saw him lunging at me as soon as he heard “Start”, I knew I was wrong. I waited for him to get into my distance and when he was about to punch me, I grabbed his hand and I snap it in two. He screamed out in pain and looked horrified at his hand. I took this opportunity and I grabbed his head with my hands, and then I raised up my knee. He felt on the ground and stopped moving.
I was the winner again.
2 out, 3 to go.
In the ring stepped a tall guy, with black hair and green eyes. He was smarter than the previous 2 because he waited before he lunged at me. I said smarter, not smart. I dodge his fist and sent mine to his face, but he saw it coming and kicked me in the stomach. I stumbled a few steps back and when he wanted to punch me, thinking that I’m dizzy, I bent down and kicked his legs. He felt on the ground and I jumped on him with my elbow. He winced at the contact and started to wiggle under me, but I banged his head on the floor 4 times and he finally stopped moving.
Winner. 2 more to go.
Now, in the ring was a girl taller than me and more muscular than me. She was definitely strong, but let’s see if she’s a smart too. We circled each other for sometime before she lunged at me. When she was about to punch me I bent down and aimed for her legs, but she saw it coming and stepped back. I took it as a chance and sent my fist to her face, successfully hitting her right in her now not-so-straight-anymore nose. She stumbled back and I punched her in the stomach with my fist. She gasped for air and raised her hand to use her element, but I grabbed her hands, twisted them and I threw her on the ground. I climbed on her and banged her head on the ground 3 times and she passed out.
Come on! I want a good one now!
A guy came into the ring and all my senses were in high alert. He was tall, muscular and he was smirking evilly at me. I smirked back at him to not show any kind of weakness. The lady announced the start and we started to circle each other.
“I saw your matches before this one. I must confess, you are a tough one, but I’ll beat the crap out of that little ass of yours.” he said smirking the whole time.
“I think you should show me instead of trying to scare me. Or are you so lame that you thought that you can scare me to death?” I retorted smirking too.
His eyes darkened, and the smirk was gone, being replaced by a serious face. He moved so fast that I didn’t have time to register when he kicked my left side, making me fly into the wall from my right. My ribs were screaming in pain but I clenched my teeth and ignored the pain.
“I’ll shut that little mouth of yours!” he spitted angrily and lunged at me again.
This time I saw him bringing his foot up, so I grabbed his foot and pulled him on the ground, but he grabbed my ankle and pulled me down too with him. In a second he was on top of me, with his hand in my hair.
“Time to go to sleep.” he said while I was trying to break free. Then he banged my head on the ground multiple times. Black spots started to blur my vision, but I refused to close my eyes.
He got up from me when he saw that I stopped moving around.
He sighed and turned around. “What a shame! I thought that you will be a tough cookie to break, but I was wrong.” he said as I heard his footsteps fading.
It would be so easy to just close my eyes and sleep.
Get up stupid! You made it until here! You can’t give up now! FIGHT LIKE A REAL FIGHTER!!!
I collected all the power I still had in my body and got up with shaky legs. Anger was boiling in my veins. I slowly turned around to see him, with his back facing me. I almost flied in front of him and bring my foot in his chin, sending him into the air and then on the ground. In one second I was on top of him punching his face.
“Don’t.tell.me.ever.again.that.I’m.weak.and.a.shame.” between every word I sent another punch in his face.
I stopped and looked at him. His face was full of blood, and I thought that I should ease his pain. I grabbed a fistful of his hair, and I banged his head on the ground with all my force. The earth cracked around the place his head made contact with it and he stopped moving.
I took 2 shaky steps back, breathing heavily. When the lady announced me the winner I raise my hand in the air, smiled and then I crashed into the ground.
