Chapter 60 Who Is Taking Advantage of You
Chapter 60
How could I… How was I able to make such a flirtatious move and give way to the
seduction of a beautiful man? I’m such a loser!
Neera began to despise herself in her heart for the subsequent few seconds. She
regretted it terribly and wished she could sever her own hand.

On the other hand, Jean maintained his composure. He raised one of his dark
eyebrows, and there was a playful glint in his eyes. He asked intentionally, as if he were
unaware of her embarrassment, “What’s the matter? Is there something wrong with my
eyes?”
Neera wished she could bury her head into a cra ck in the ground and vanish when she
heard this. Unfortunately, she was unable to use magic, so the best she could muster
was an awkward smile.
She said, “No, no, it’s just that there is something dirty on your eyelid. It’s gone now.”
She said this, but her stutter and her red ears made it clear that she was embarrassed.
Jean became aware of her discomfort. He tried to hold back a laugh, but Adam’s eye
bobbed twice. He held back the laughter and asked gravely, “These days, can people
take advantage of others using this excuse?”
His question rendered Neera speechless.
She had no idea this man was capable of being so blunt. Her ears started to get even
redder. Her other hand, which she kept secretly rubbing with itself, froze.

After a brief pause, she let go of her hand, stood up straight, and retorted with a stern
face, “You’re still as narcissistic as ever. Who’s taking advantage of you? It doesn’t seem
like you have any serious problems. Don’t worry, you won’t die. You’ll be fine after taking
some medicine.”
Neera then spun around and stormed off.
As soon as she walked out the door, she abruptly returned to the room again. She
peered through the door with her upper body and instructed him irritably, “Don’t forget
to take a medicinal bath!”
She actually left this time.
When he heard her footsteps disappear, Jean slowly got out of bed and could not help
but chuckle.
lan walked into the room from outside at this precise moment. He just walked into
Neera downstairs and was wondering why she was running so fast, just like a game
being hunted by a hunter. He thought someone was chasing her.

When he realized Jean was actually beaming, he was shocked!
It’s a little frightening! He could smile broadly despite having a typically serious
expression!
While lan was still contemplating these things, Jean caught sight of him and quickly
hid his smile.
Jean ordered, “Run along and fill the tub with water. I’m going to take a bath.”
“Oh, okay,” lan immediately responded.
lan then respectfully inquired, “Mr. Beauvort, have you found anything about Ms.
Garcia?”
Jean shook his head and replied, “It’s unlikely to be her.”
lan nodded. He did not ask any further and went to the bathroom.

Neera practically ran back home, and her cheeks were still burning. Along the way, she
cursed herself in her heart and slapped her hand angrily until it was red.
Why did I feel the need to touch his lashes? Didn’t I have my own eyelashes? I’m such a
loser! Why would I be tempted by that guy when I’ve seen other attractive men before?

That was incredibly shameful!

Harvey noticed that his mother’s hands and cheeks were all red when she got home.
He was surprised for a moment, but his eyes lit up afterward.
His siblings saw this and immediately grasped the situation.
It seemed like Mommy and Daddy had made some progress!
Although Harvey appeared clueless, his heart was filled with joy. He rushed up to his
mother and asked concernedly, “Mommy, what’s wrong with your face? And why are
your hands so red? Do you have a fever?”
When Neera heard his voice, she was jolted back to the present. There was an oddly
evasive look in her eyes, and she stuttered, “What? It’s…it’s nothing. I just felt too hot
earlier and my hand got bitten by a mosquito.”
The triplet was at a loss for words.
You’re a terrible liar, Mommy!
