“I never thought I would have kids,” Rose says to me.

“How could she think that?” Aspen asks me.

“I don’t know, I never really thought about it. I always knew that I would have a few kids.” I say to him.

“Well, I think now we need to talk to Rose,” Aspen says to me.

I bring myself out of my thoughts, and see that Rose is also lost in her head.

“Well, what are your thoughts on having kids now?” I ask her.

“Umm, I don’t know. With a war that is on the way, with my powers, I don’t know if it is a good idea. What if I am pregnant and then Sol shows up?” She tells me.

I walk over to her and wrap my arms around her. I pull her close to me, and she looks at me with a sad smile.

” Let’s think of it this way. If you were a normal wolf with no powers and no war on the way. Would you want to have kids with me?” I ask her.

I walk her over to the bed and we sit down. I scoot back all the way and pull her into my lap.

“A few weeks ago I never thought that I had a mate. I never thought I had a wolf. So kids were never a thought unless I fell in love,” Rose says.

“But I do have a wolf, a very powerful, amazing wolf. And I do have a mate, a very supportive, loving mate. And I have fallen in love. So kids should be no worry at all. I would love to grow our family and have children with you.” Rose tells me.

“Okay, so that i the answer that I need for now. And now all we need to focus on is us and wait and see what the goddess has in store for us and the future.” I say to her, kissing her face.

“I saw that you were talking to Lilly earlier, what does she have to say about this?” I ask her.

I watch as she smiles at me.

“Lilly is excited. She has lived many lives. But this is her first life having a mate. So also the first life that she has had the opportunity to have a baby of her own.” Rose tells me.

“Well, I hope that she gets her wish when the time is right,” I say to Rose.

“So I think we need to talk to Raymond. And see if he has any ideas of what to expect with me being pregnant and still gaining my powers and control? Also, that my kids will be part Royal, so they will have gifts of their own.” Rose tells me.

“I didn’t think of that. Her children will have more power than we have.” Aspen says to me.

“I forgot that you are a royal. We can ask my mom to bring us the history books that talk about the Royals and their pregnancy.” I say to Rose.

“You have those?” She asks me.

“Yes we do. We have most records of all the wolves that have been born in the kingdom and the surrounding packs. It is how we can keep track of all of the numbers in the kingdom and all that we have control over.” I tell her.

“Then yes, I would like to see those books. And can we call someone to get Raymond? I would like to talk to him about the risks of my powers growing while being pregnant.” Rose asks me.

“Yes, we can do that. I will link my mom and a guard to go get Raymond.” I say to her.

“Thank you.” Rose tells me while leaning up and giving me a k**s.

“Can we have a shower? I smell funny and am sticky from sweating.” Rose asks me.

“Yes, we can do that. Do you mind if I join you?” I ask her.

“You can join me any time you want.” She tells me getting up and walking to the shower.

I watch her walk away and I smile to myself. I am the luckiest person in the world.

“Yes, we are very lucky. Our mate is perfect in every way,” Aspen tells me.

“Lets go join her, before she uses up all the hot water.” I say to him.

As I get up off the bed, I feel a link start to open up. But this feels different.

“Hello?” I say through the link.

But I got no response. Well, this is strange.

I fell the link close.

“Aspen?” I ask searching my mind for him.

“I am here.” I hear him say.

“What was that?” I ask him.

“That was Lilly, she wanted to talk to me for a second.” Aspen tells me.

“Well what did she say?” I ask him.

“I can only tell you to keep a close eye on Rose. Do not leave her alone.” Aspen tells me.

“Why?” I ask him.

“You are going to make this difficult for me, aren’t you?” He says to me with a sigh.

“Yes I am. I need to know what you know about our mate.” I say to him.

“Well, royals when they go through their heat cycle, their powers can go kind of crazy. They can not always control their gifts when they need to.” Aspen tells me.

“Okay, well that seems simple enough.” I say to him.

“But she may not go into heat,” Aspen says to me.

“If she is pregnant, no heat.” I say to him.

“Exactly. But her hormones will change and that can cause her to loose control over her powers as well.” Aspen tells me.

“So just keep an eye on her and be sure she is in full control of her gifts. And everything should be fine.” I say to Aspen.

“Yep.” He tells me.

I walk into the bathroom and stop in my tracks.

“Oh my goddess,” Aspen says to me.

Rose turns and looks at me.

“I think I got a new gift.” She says while the water droplets from the shower float around her.

“I think so too. I will have Raymond brought to the room.” I say to her, while linking a guard to go replace him.
