Chapter 79

(Rose)

I lay in the bed and wait for my mom to return with everyone. It doesn’t take long, and soon I hear everyone outside the bedroom door. The door opens and in comes Ash.

“How are you feeling?” He asks me, walking over and kissing my forehead.

“I am okay. Sorry for scaring you, Selene needed to talk to me.” I tell him.

“Can you help me sit up some,” I ask him.

Ash takes his time and helps me to sit up slowly. Once I am sitting up he calls everyone into the room.

Everyone replaces a place to sit. Ash sits next to me, and I smile at him.

“So by now, most of you in here already know, but thanks to Raymond, it has been confirmed that I am pregnant.” I tell the room.

They talk all at once, congratulating us.

“Can I be the baby guard too?” Craig asks while sticking his head in the doorway.

I shake my head at him. He must have been waiting in the living room.

“Yes you may, as well as Alex. Where has he been? I haven’t seen him in a while.” I say looking at Ash.

“I am here as well. I was just taking care of some things for the King.” Alex says, sticking his head in the doorway.

“Okay, so Selene wanted to talk to me and that is why I had the black out.”I tell them.

I then take my time and tell them all the information that I got from my time with Selene.

After I am done talking, I look around and see that everyone is watching me.

“So, we will be free and get to live our life the way that we want?”Raymond asks out loud.

“That is what Selene said to me,” I tell him with a smile.

“And Lilly will be weakened?” My mom says to me.

“It seems so, she is with me but is tired,” I tell her.

“So we will increase the guards around you to be sure that you are protected at all times. And we will be sure to have more patrols around the kingdom to be sure that we are prepared for when the war comes.” The King tells me.

“There may not be a war if Sol is as weak as everyone thinks. We may just have to wait and in time she will be no more. So we need to keep Rose and the baby safe until Sol dies,” Ash says.

“I believe we need to send everyone home that is still here from the visiting packs. We can arrange to have a ball at another time when things have settled down and we are not at risk of having a war happen.” I say to the King.

“Yes, I do think that is a good idea. I will call a meeting with the remaining Alphas and let them know.” The King says to me.

“Thank you, also I think that we need to keep my pregnancy to ourselves for now. We don’t want to risk too many people replaceing out, as then it is more risk for us to be attacked.” I tell them all.

Everyone talks to one another for a little while longer and we discuss some more things.

I start to feel tired, and I yawn.

“I think it is time for you all to leave for now. Rose seems to be tired. We will see you all at supper tonight.” Ash says to them as he ushers them out.

Once they are all out, Ash looks at me with a smile. But before he starts to talk, I hush him as I can feel a link opening up.

“I know this is scary for you. But you are so well loved and I can not express how happy I am to becoming a Grandfather.” My dad says to me.

“I am glad you are excited. You will be a great grandfather.” I tell him.

The link cuts out, and I see Ash watching me.

“Is everything okay?” Ash asks me.

“Yes, just my dad saying he is excited for us.” I tell him.

I get comfy on the bed again, and I lay back down. Ash walks over to the bed and lays next to me.

He pulls me close and k****s my head.

“I know it was not expected, but I am glad to be having a pup with you. Rose, you are amazing and we will be a great mother.” Ash tells me.

“I am so glad to have found my mate and be able to give you a pup. It may be soon, but it is a great thing that I am so happy about,” I say to him.

As I start to drift off, I feel Lilly open up a link with Aspen.

“Aspen, I will not be able to shift until after the pups come. It is not safe for me or them,” Lilly says to him.

“Pups?” Aspen asks.

“Yes, we are having two pups,” Lilly tells him as she drifts off.

“Can we keep the fact that we are having twins to ourselves for now?” I ask Ash.

“Yes that is fine, do you have a reason as to why?” He asks me.

“I wanna surprise our mothers.” I say to him with a smile.

“For now, please get some rest. You are going to need it.” Ash tells me.

“Yes, that sounds good. I love you Ash.” I tell him as I snuggled in closer to him.

“We love you too,” I hear Aspen say to me as I drift off.
