Chapter 85: The end

It’s been a few weeks since I saw Mggy and talked to the past King and Queen. Today Luna Mary has set up a meeting for her, myself and Maggy. I have questions for her and I am sure she has questions for me.

We are going to have brunch in the garden. We don’t want her to be scared and not willing to open up to us. We want her to feel comfortable.

I walk down to the kitchen. The staff all smile at me. It has taken time but they no longer bow to me the minute they see me.

“Hello, do you have the trays ready for brunch?” I ask as I walk in.

“Yes we do. I was about to load up the cart to walk it out to the garden. Luna Mary is already sitting out there waiting for you.” Opal tells me with a smile.

“Thank you, I will head out to meet with her.” I say walking towards the door.

“Not a problem. Is everything okay with my mother? I know she is who you are meeting with today, but she has been acting strange at home the last few weeks, so I am worried about her.” Opal says following me to the door.

“Yes everything is okay. I just have a few questions for her. Once the meeting is over I will meet with you and your mother to be sure that you understand what is going on.” I say.

“Okay, thank you. So, how are you feeling? I’m sure you only have a few weeks left. Are you planning to have a baby shower?” She asks me.

The dreaded question everyone has been asking me. But I don’t know. I have a luna ceremony and a ball to plan. A baby shower just seems like more that I don’t really need. Ash has already gone and bought anything and everything that we will need for the babies.

“I don’t know yet.” I tell her with a sigh.

“Well if you want one, I can help plan it. I know that you have a lot going on.” She says with a smile.

“Thank you, I will let you know what I decide.” I say to her as we walk up to the table that Luna Mary has chosen to sit at.

Opal greeted Luna Mary with a bow of the head.

“Hello Opal, how are you today?” Luna Mary asks her with a smile.

“I am okay, a little worried about my mother.” Opal answers.

“No need to worry about her. She is going to be fine. We just have a few questions for her.” Luna Mary tells Opal.

“Okay well I am going to head back to the kitchen. I hope the three of you enjoy your brunch.” Opal says turning to walk back inside.

“She is so sweet. Do you think she knows?” I ask Luna Mary.

“I would assume so. As she is half wolf and half witch, I am sure she had some questions after her first shift.” Luna Mary says to me taking a sip of her tea.

As I sit down next to Luna Mary, I hear someone walking up to us.

“Sorry I am late.” Maggy says to us with a bow.

“You are just on time. Please have a seat and enjoy some of the food that was prepared for us. We will talk after we eat.” Luna Mary says as she starts to eat.

I smile and start to eat. As soon as I get the first bite the babies start moving around. They are so active and I think they are running out of room.

I smile as I rub my belly while I eat. The other two at the table smile at my actions.

“Are you excited, my Queen?” Maggy asks me.

“You may just call me Rose, we have been over this many times.” I tell her with a smile. “Yes, I am very excited to meet the two of them.” I explain.

“I bet you are. You have just a few weeks left. Are you planning a baby shower?” Maggy asks me.

“I haven’t decided yet. I have a few other things that I need to get planned.” I explain to her with a sigh.

“Well, why not combine your Luna Ceremony and the baby shower into one?” Luna Mary asks.

“Can we do that?” I ask.

“You are the Queen, you can do just about anything you see fit.” Maggy says to me.

“If that is the case, then yes I am having a baby shower.” I say with a smile.

“Well now that is settled, I can help you plan them if you would like.” Luna Mary tells me.

“Yes that would be great. Be sure to talk with Opal. She offered to help me too. So maybe the two of you can talk and make plans and run them by me. And I will work on planning the Ball again.” I say with a smile.

“That sounds like a plan to me,” Luna Mary replies.

“Now that we have finished eating, the main reason for this brunch is because we have questions for you and I am sure you have questions for me.” I tell Maggy.

“Okay, ask away.” Maggy tells me with a nervous smile.

“So I will start first with, I am not a normal wolf. I am a royal, the last royal and I have been blessed by Selene.” I say watching Maggy for any reaction.

I have already let my walls down so that I can see inside her head.

“Is that why I feel like you have magic within you?” She asks me, then she gasps and slaps her hand over her mouth.

I laugh at her reaction.

“Yes that is why you can sense my magic. As you are also not who everyone thought you were are you?” I ask.

“No I am not. And I am sorry that I have kept my true self hidden from you. But I was worried about my safety and that of my daughters.” Maggy says looking down.

“Well, we will not be making you talk about the terrible things that you have dealt with. I have already spoken to the wolf that you possess and they have explained it all to me.” I say with a smile.

“So you know that I am a witch?” she asks as she looks at me.

“I have known for a few weeks now. I wanted to sit down and let you know that you do not need to fear any more. Sol is slowly dying. She is losing her control over the vampires as well as the witches. We believe her death is very near.” I explained to her.

“And how do you know that? Is that why we have vampires in the woods and roaming the palace?” Maggy asks me.

“Because I am not only a royal. I am also the keeper of the stone. My wolf is Lilly. She is made from the moon goddess herself to protect us all from the wrath of Sol.” I say to her.

“You mean the wolf that was created to protect the stone that holds Selene’s powers?” Maggy asks.

“The very wolf.” I say with a smile.

“That is amazing. So now what is the plan?” Maggy asks me with a smile on her face.

“My plan is to live our lives normally. The vampires are helping us to keep an eye on Sol and her condition as well as her plans.” I explain.

“And the witches?” Maggy questions.

“We have not had any contact with them.” I say looking at Luna Mary.

“Well I can try to contact some members from my old coven to see how they are feeling with Sol losing control and I may be able to help put up a protection spell to keep the palace free from any dangers until after you have the babies.” Maggy says looking at me.

“That would be amazing.” Luna Mary says.

“I would greatly appreciate that. I want to be sure everything is safe when the babies come.” I tell her with a smile.

“Well I believe this brunch meeting was a success. We decided to have a baby shower and a luna ceremony. And we discussed how to better protect the palace from Sol to keep the babies safe” Luna Mary says.

“Yes I think it went well. Maggy I hope to keep in close contact with you. If you or Opal need anything at all please reach out to me. Also I would like to sit down with you and Opal to talk to her about the things that we discussed. As she is half wolf and half witch, I am sure she will have some questions.” I say to them.

“That sounds like a good idea. I will talk to Opal to see when is a good time for a visit. Maybe you and King Ash can join us for supper to discuss it all.” Maggy tells me.

“That would be amazing thank you.” I say to her.
