Strangely, his breath did not get caught in his throat, and as he stared back at Jonah, who did not seem bothered by his presence, he merely shuffled in the bed and turned the other way, ignoring that he was there. However, his mind was racing with thoughts, and it was a chance that he knew may never really happen again. At first, all he wanted to do was sleep, but his drunken mind, with the boost of confidence, made him face Jonah once again and frown at him. Jonah had not yet said anything and leaned by the window, blowing the smoke from his joint after taking a long hit. When he realized Kylan had turned back, he was confused about why he was being frowned at. His own face turned into a frown before he raised an eyebrow and asked, "Are you okay?"

Kylan exhaled, deepening his head into the comfortable pillow before muttering, "Yea, I'm just staring at you." He could barely keep his eyes open, but since it was Jonah, he forced himself to.

Jonah smirked, "Why are you staring at me?"

"Because you're handsome," he said without any hesitation, and Jonah was taken aback, raising a confused eyebrow as he turned back towards the window. Kylan slapped his forehead, "Sorry, that was a bit straightforward." He then decided to leave and attempted to push himself upwards to sit up but struggled to do so.

Jonah blew another huge cloud of smoke before saying, "Where are you going?"

"I'm sorry, I probably scared you. I'll leave."

"You didn't scare anybody," he laughed, "I was just a bit surprised, that's all."

Kylan beamed excitingly, "So I can lay on this bed?"

Jonah paused for a moment, examining Kylan, before nodding his head slowly and turning away. "It's not my bed, so you're fine."

He shrieked happily, snuggling back into the pillows that comforted him. Jonah chuckled and continued to smoke. Kylan was the one that started the next conversation, "Why aren't you downstairs?" Jonah shrugged his shoulders, "I needed some time alone."

"Are you sad or something?"

"No," Jonah chuckled, smiling, "I'm not sad. I'm going to head down in a bit."

"Didn't want to share your joint?"

Jonah laughed again and turned to Kylan, "You're a funny guy. But no, I just wanted to calm down for a second."

Kylan shrugged his shoulders, "I don't understand what you're talking about, but I'm just going to say okay."

"It wasn't for you to understand," he crossed his arms, "besides, you're out of your mind drunk, so I don't expect you to."

"I'm not even that drunk."

"I heard you stumbling up those stairs; you could barely walk." He laughed, "And you're saying things that I don't think you'd be able to sober."

Kylan narrowed his eyes, "Well, if that's the case, why don't I say everything I think when I'm sober now? And then, when I am sober, I'll say the same things to prove to you that I wasn't even drunk." Jonah snickered, "I'm not sure you want to do that—"

"I like you," he breathed, and when Jonah's head sharply turned to meet his gaze, Kylan did not turn away. He kept his gaze locked with him as he pushed himself to sit upwards. He blinked furiously, the blurry vision struggling to fix itself, but there was not an ounce of nervousness or shyness in his body. The drunken minds played wonders, and he crossed his arms, lifting his chin confidentially towards Jonah, who raised his eyebrows.

Jonah's mouth opened, unsure what to say.

Kylan raised his hand stubbornly, "I'm not finished, so let me finish." When Jonah's lips clamped shut, he said, "I have the silliest crush on you. I don't even think you noticed me once since I'm a year younger than you, but I always noticed you. And you get the prettiest girls at our school, and you're popular at everything you do, and your dad is, like, famous in this area. But what I like is that you're down-to-earth; you don't bully, you're inclusive, and you have the nicest smile ever. There's never a time that you're not in my presence, and I don't just stare at you. I just wanted to let you know that, and yes, I will say all this sober."

Jonah's mouth fell open, and he scratched the back of his head uneasily, suddenly becoming a bit shy as he took another hit of his joint. Suddenly, a frown fell on his face, and he again met Kylan's gaze, asking, "Are you the kid with the huge glasses on his face?" When Kylan nodded his head and rolled his eyes, Jonah continued, "You look so...different."

"I know."

"Why don't you wear contacts more often?" he asked curiously, "Your eyes are nice."

If he were sober, a compliment from Jonah Minty would have turned him upside down, and he would be blushing for days. He would even repeat it to himself and write it in his diary for days on end. However, the drunken minds rolled his eyes; he had heard that compliment from people a bunch of times when he did not have glasses, and it was not a shocker.

"Point is, I like you."

Jonah nodded his head, "I know, I heard you."

"I'm gay."

"I could've guessed that," he chuckled.

A silence crossed the room, but it was not comfortable at all, and Jonah finished his joint before throwing the end out of the window. The drug had consumed his nerves, and he felt much better than he did earlier. However, he was curious as well, and it is not as if he did not replace Kylan ugly; Kylan was cute and seemed similar to an innocent puppy who barely knew what life was about. Additionally, all this revelation would probably be forgotten by him tomorrow, hence why he opened his pack of cigarettes and leaned out the window again.

"I'm not sure what to say," he muffled, lighting the end, "I'm not too sure how to react."

"It's fine," Kylan said unbothered, "I usually get a reaction like that. At least you didn't call me disgusting and throw food at my face and sprayed me with water." He smirked when he said that, but Jonah had noticed the gloom that crossed his eyes.

He squeezed his palms into fists and sighed, finalizing his decision.

"I don't know how I feel towards you," Jonah said with boredom, pulling the cigarette from the edge of his mouth and blowing out of the window. "But one thing I know is that I'm not gay. I love having sex with girls. That being said," he threw his cigarette out from the window and leaned towards Kylan, whose breath fell stuck in his throat as his cheeks slowly reached the sharpest pink. Jonah smirked as his palm pressed on the jawline of Kylan, his navy irises never turning away from Kylan as his lips approached his. Before they could connect, a low grunt with an exhale cause Kylan's nerve to run wild, and Jonah approached his ear and whispered, "I would definitely like to try it once with you."

Kylan was too speechless to respond, and he was way too starstruck that even when Jonah had connected their lips, he was frozen on the spot for a moment before he began moving his lips with his. He was a bit sloppy since he was drunk, but Jonah took the lead and gently pushed his back onto the bed, grabbing Kylan's hands and restraining them above his head.

Am I dreaming? Kylan frowned during the kiss, attempting to figure out what was going on since he was unsure how it had started, and the drunken mind was being extremely confusing. However, all he knew was Jonah Minty, the straight popular jock from their school, was kissing him. Even if it was a dream, he did not want it to stop. Therefore, he deepened the kiss himself, lifting his head and shoving his tongue against Jonah's, who was taken by surprise but attempted to retake the dominance. However, it was Jonah who first released Kylan's hands and reached for the bottom of his shirt.

Kylan suddenly felt a bit uneasy and confused as he whispered, "Are you sure?"

"I mean, I'm not, but," he pulled the shirt over Kylan's head, "It doesn't hurt to try, doesn't it. Besides, it'll be the same as a girl, hopefully. Maybe I'll like it. I don't know."

He placed his lips on Kylan's neck and bit down on sensitive flesh that caused him to moan. Again, Kylan placed his palms on Jonah's shoulders and halted him. He raised an eyebrow and said, "Are you sure you're sure?"

Jonah bit his bottom lip; the manner he was scared was somewhat cute. "Stop worrying about me. Haven't you been wanting this? Besides, I don't want to change my mind, so let me do what I do."

"But I just " Jonah returned his lips onto his, and they kissed for a few seconds before he pulled away.

"Let me do what I do."

Kylan's mouth clamped shut, and he slowly nodded his head.

That was the beginning of an epic rollercoaster that he never knew would occur, all because of a drunken mistake.
