"I'm home!" She closed the door and entered her apartment, not surprised to replace Bradley and Kylan in pajamas, watching a movie in the living room. "I brought food!"

"We're eating ice cream," Bradley exclaimed, chuckling when he heard Ella grumble curse words.

When she organized all the groceries, she approached them, taking a seat on a separate couch after stealing Bradley's ice cream, dumping her spoon in the container, and taking a large portion. "How are you, Kylan?"

It had been about two weeks since he had spoken to Jonah and Sam as well. He had not seen Sam ever since that one day when Ella argued with him, and he believed it was for the best that it was that way. She was partially at fault for sending those voicemails on purpose to Jonah, knowing it would anger him.

However, he did feel as if there was a missing part without Jonah.

"I'm fine," he smiled, although it was not entirely genuine. He had not been exactly fine these past few weeks, but he kept a positive energy. A breakup was never easy to overcome, and he knew soon he would be able to move on. Ella reflected his smile, "What about you, babe?"

"I'll be fine when you give me my ice cream back," he complained.

She rolled her eyes, "You're honestly a six-foot-four little baby." She handed him the ice cream container, and he grinned, returning to his pleasure.

Life had been quite normal, except that Ella had one-on-one talks with Kylan to let his feelings out. He would sob for hours, but it did allow him to feel a bit better about it. Exploring the emotions was one thing that was certain to guide him into moving onwards.

However, they never thought their world would come crashing down with one phone call. Ella's voice continuously vibrated, and the same number popped on the screen; she had no idea whose number it was.

"This number has been calling me the whole day," she groaned, staring at it for a moment.

Bradley frowned, "Do you know who it is?"

"No idea."

"Just answer then," he shrugged his shoulders.

Taking Bradley's advice on board, she did. A woman hysterically sobbing was on the other line, and Ella immediately jumped to her feet, "Hello?"

"Is Kylan there?" She was sniffling, and it was then Ella recognized this as Sam's voice.

"No, he's not-"

"I can't get a hold of him," she was crying pretty hard, and Ella's protective instinct kicked in.

"Are you alright?"

"I can't go through this alone," she breathed heavily, continuing to sob even louder.

Both Kylan and Bradley staring at Ella, confused.

Ella raised an eyebrow, "Go through what alone?"

She gulped before finally whispering, "I'm pregnant."

"Okay, and why should we..." her voice suddenly trailed when she realized what she was implying, and Ella's face drained of its colors. Meeting Kylan's gaze, he became alarmed and jumped to his feet.

"Ella," he worried, "what's going on?"

Ella's eyes became teary, and the phone fell from her grasp. Immediately, Bradley wrapped an arm around her shoulders, "Babe, are you alright?" "Kylan..." she breathed quietly.

When Kylan reached for the phone on the ground and realized whose number it was, he furrowed his brows, "Why is she calling you?"

He placed the phone to his ear, "What do you want, Sam-wow, why are you crying this hard? Is everything okay? Did Jonah do something?"

"No," she shrieked, "He hasn't done anything."

"Then what's wrong? Why are you calling Ella?"

"I needed to get a hold of you," she sobbed loudly.

"What's going on?"

"Kylan," she inhaled a sharp breath before whispering, "I'm pregnant."

He was shocked, taken by surprise, and fell onto the couch. His legs had run numb, and he thought he was going to have a stroke from how fast his heart was beating. This was not the need he had been expecting. When he was able to bring himself to a decent composure, he cleared his throat and asked, "Is it mine?"

"We used a condom every time—"

"One must've broken without us noticing," she sighed, bursting into loud cries again.

Kylan shook his head in disbelief, "How do you know?"

"I bought a pregnancy test," her breath was shaky.

The phone fell from Kylan's palm, and he slumped down on the couch, his fingers gripping his hair as he gritted his teeth, feeling his eyes become teary.

All he wanted was a bit of pleasure after his breakup with Jonah. He had trapped himself into a life that he never wanted to be a part of. But there was absolutely nothing he could do.

He stayed awake the entire night, fumbled over in their spare bedroom, and unable to close his eyes. Bradley was frustrated since Ella had gone to sleep with Kylan and cuddled against him, falling asleep without realizing that Kylan could not even shut his eyes.

The only words that kept repeating in his mind were,

"Kylan, I'm pregnant."
