Chapter 177 Arrogance
"You'll have to ask her."
Nathan shrugged. It was a pity that Jade came. Otherwise, he didn't mind teaching Brinn a lesson.
Hannah said in a deep voice, "General Perkins, you came just in time. You should discipline your subordinates well!"
She narrated what had happened, and Jade's face turned dark when she heard it.
Brinn lowered her head, not daring to speak.
"So, you'd better give us an explanation."
"Otherwise, this won't be over."
Nathan said bluntly.
Almost no one dared to speak to Jade in such a tone, and Nathan was one of the few.
Jade was annoyed by his attitude, but it was Brinn's fault.
Jade asked coldly, "What do you want?"
"She has to buy a new car for Hannah."
"Also, the slap must be returned."
"In the end, she has to apologize."
He gave three reasonable conditions.
But they were unacceptable to Brinn. Even if she did something wrong, no one would dare to accuse her!
She said angrily, "I can pay for the car, but I can't accept the other two conditions!"
"Why not? You beat me, and you have a bad attitude." Hannah retorted, filled with righteous indignation.
Brinn shouted, "I don't accept it. What can you do?"
Nathan shook his head and said, "If she doesn't, I will have to take action."
"What are you?!"
"If Miss Perkins didn't stop me just now, you would be a cripple now!"
Brinn was very disdainful.
"Are you sure?" Nathan smiled dismissively.
Jade knew very well that Nathan was good. When they were in the villa, he knew there was a sniper at the same time as she did. It meant he was almost as good as her. Even if he was not as good as her, he was better than Brinn.
Now she even suspected that the bodies found at the foot of Mountain Almonube might be what Nathan did.
"You did something wrong today, apologize," Jade said calmly.
Brinn's face froze, and she wanted to refute it. When she saw Jade's eyes, she immediately lowered her head.
She was aggrieved, but she still said, "Miss Ranchy, I'm sorry. Please forgive me!"
"Show me your face!"
Hannah snorted coldly.
Brinn raised her face and closed her eyes.
"Snapped!"
Hannah slapped her cheek fiercely!
A trace of blood flowed from the corner of Brinn's mouth, but she dared not even say a word.
Nathan had a good time watching it. He said, "Okay, that's it. As for this car, you can buy the exact same car for her."
Brinn didn't speak.
Nathan and Hannah left.
"It seems that I have been neglectful of discipline to you people, which makes you so arrogant!" Jade got angry. Her sword eyebrows were erected, and her face was full of evil spirits. "Forgive me! I will never do it again in the future!" Brinn said aggrievedly.
Jade sneered, "Are you wronged?"
Brinn said, "I'm not!"
"How did he get knocked off?" Jade asked.
"He used the elbow attack" Brinn said, "However, it was a sneak attack."
Jade sneered, "He knocked him down with one elbow attack! He is much better than you!"
Brinn's face turned pale. She didn't dare to speak.
"How did he fall?" Jade looked at the guy whose arm had been broken and asked calmly.
"He tried to punch him, and Nathan blocked his wrist," Brinn explained.
Jade's eyes became colder. She said, "Such a sharp grasping technique! Such a precise judgment! That was not a sneak attack."
Brinn's body trembled.
"Arrogance is the greatest original sin that leads to failure!"
"I didn't help you just now because you were too arrogant, and you should learn some lessons!"
"If I hadn't stopped you from attacking him, you would probably be lying on the ground now."
Jade's face was so cold that there was no expression. Even her tone was cold and mechanical, without any fluctuations.
She continued, "I know you are not convinced, but I can tell you something."
"Even Rudolph values Nathan. He is not that bad."
"When I sniped on the mountain, he reacted almost at the same time as me to dodge the bullets."
"Do you think he is weaker than you?"
Brinn was scared. She was shocked and asked, "Is he so strong?!"
Jade said, "Maybe he is not better than me but definitely above you. Are you convinced now?"
Brinn lowered her head. If it was true as Jade said, it was lucky she didn't fight with him just now.
No wonder Nathan had always been so confident!
"I don't want to see you guys being so arrogant again. If it happens again, don't blame me for being cruel!" Jade said coldly.
She was a decent person. She hated her people for bullying others.
She shouted, "Why don't you hurry up and continue searching for the sniper?!"
"Yes!"
Brinn hurriedly agreed, and then left with the two injured men.
Jada
turned to look at the top of the mountain. Her expression was cold and calm.
"It seems that you do have something unusual."
"However, we are not from the same world."
She affirmed that Nathan had some abilities, but this still couldn't change her opinion of him.v
