Chapter 354
Chapter 354 Brigadier General
While in a trance, Nathan felt someone tap his shoulder.
With a start, he subconsciously threw the person who patted him on the shoulder over his shoulder.
However, fortunately, he smelled Chanel No. 5 which had haunted him countless times. So he immediately calmed down, grabbed the little hand, and held it.
"How many times have I told you? Don't pat me on the shoulder silently. It's very dangerous," Nathan smiled helplessly.
Januel Hayek, known as the God of Material Arts, once warned his disciples and friends not to approach him within three feet suddenly. Otherwise, the consequences would be disastrous. He was a master who formed a natural reaction. Sometimes he couldn't control it and was afraid of accidentally hurting someone.
Bruce Lee also didn't like being patted on the shoulder. It was the same reason. Once the body had a stress response, to hurt people.
it was easy
Hannah smiled slightly and asked, "What happened? You have been hesitating here for a long time. Was your love letter rejected?"
While speaking, she didn't look at what Nathan held.
Hannah was smart, and Nathan couldn't compete with her. She knew they should keep their distance on some things and not pry into others' privacy.
"Check it out!" Nathan said calmly, throwing the letter at Hannah.
Hannah quickly read it and asked surprisingly, "Why do you hesitate? Just agree! You'll be a brigadier general. Do you know how many people in Hechland are stuck in the hurdle of senior colonels and brigadier generals?"
"You don't even enlist in the army. But they promise you the brigadier general. It's a gift."
"I don't know why you are hesitating... Did you humblebrag?"
Nathan smiled helplessly and said, "How can things be so simple? Who is Thunder?"
Hannah said, "The Elder of the War Department!"
Nathan said, "That's right. Don't you think it's strange he gives me such a powerful position for no reason?"
Thinking of Nathan's easy handling of a strong enemy that even Jade couldn't deal with, Hannah said, "Perhaps Thunder values your ability very much."
"Thanks for telling me that." Nathan rolled his eyes. If Thunder didn't value his ability, he wouldn't have written this letter. Hannah knew what he was hesitating about. Thunder gave him sweet fruit, but after Nathan ate it, he would owe him a huge
favor.
Was the favor of the Elder of the War Department coming so easily?
If Thunder had no ability and vision, how could he be in such a high position?
Nathan didn't have any experience in the army. Still, he had been the police and killed Vlakilov, a top expert who caused headaches for the military. If Thunder took this opportunity to assign him as the Brigade General, no one could replace anything wrong with him.
If Nathan became the Brigade General, he would be more or less restricted.
Moreover, with such great favor, Thunder would give him tough tasks,
"I can't give you any good advice. It's up to you.... Thunder is not easy to get along with and could give you challenging tasks."
Hannah pursed her lips, not wanting to interfere with Nathan's decision.
Nathan nodded seriously. It was a temptation for him.
Moreover, the brigadier general was not ordinary.
It was directly responsible for the political department of an important department under the War Department and had great
power!
The Political Department had great power in the military of Hechland. It was responsible for picketing, patrolling major troops, and maintaining national security. It also had the right to deal with forces threatening national security.
"Thunder was really confident. He knows I need an identity and power and return to Emperia City openly and honestly." Nathan narrowed his eyes and smiled coldly.
Nathan was not afraid of powerful men, but he needed power at that time.
But if he accepted that power, he would inevitably be restrained.
The political department was not as independent as Devendill Prison.
Nathan suddenly grinned, making Hannah feel a little creepy. She knew someone would be in trouble when he showed that
kind of smile.
"Since Thunder gave me this benefit, I will accept it!" Nathan smiled.
Hannah thought, "Many people can't be Major all their lives, but with Thunder's letter, Nathan can easily become a brigadier general of the political department!"
However, she also knew Nathan would encounter much trouble if he accepted it.
There was a famous saying in Spider-Man, "With great power comes great responsibility."
If Nathan were promoted to brigadier general, he wouldn't just do a non-commissioned officer's work.
Nathan sat down, dialed a number on the letter, and said, "This is Nathan, and I accept Elder Thunder's arrangement!"
"Brigadier General Evans, please wait a moment. We will send the relevant matters to you immediately!" The other party said in a deep voice.
Nathan hung up the phone, smiled easily, and sat down on the hood, saying, "Just wait here."
In about 15 minutes, someone arrived in a jeep.
The person in the car was dressed in casual clothes and showed sharpness and seriousness. Apparently, he was from the
military.
"Zap!"
After getting out of the car, the man immediately saluted Nathan.
Then, he took out a box from the car and presented it to Nathan with both hands.
"Brigadier General Evans, please check and accept!"
Nathan nodded and took the box.
He opened the box. Inside were two sets of black military uniforms and four epaulets with a dark golden Dragonstar on them.
On the side, there were a certificate and related documents.
Nathan couldn't help laughing, "Mr. West was sure I would take it and prepared for everything."
The man who brought the things said seriously, "Brigadier General Evans. There is another task for you!"
Nathan was stunned, "What task?"
"Mr. West asked you to report to the 81st Division and serve as the instructor of the 81st Division's Special Sharp Knife Company." The man said slowly and seriously.
"Understood. I'll make sure of it." Nathan saluted to him.
He returned the salute, jumped into the jeep, and drove away.
Holding the box, Nathan smiled slightly.
Hannah came to him and said, "The Elder of the War Department is not easy. He was sure you would agree to him."
Nathan squinted his eyes and said, "Since he has such a status, how could he give me simple tasks? But it's okay. The first task is not very demanding."
The 81st Division was the garrison of Mimar City. The task was relatively easy for him.
Hannah said, "I just read the news a few days ago. Brandon Sanchez, the owner of Sanchez Fist Center, was specially hired by the 81st Division as an honorary instructor. You have conflicts with them, so be careful."
Nathan froze for a moment and said, "That's good. His son lost to me, and he probably wanted to pick on me. It will be done once and for all if I kick his ass."
