The greatest man alive novel (by Maverick Bowman) -
Chapter 470
How Nathan spent the new year since he was a child, he planned how to let Gussie and Julian live.
How could one learn martial arts without going through hundreds of battles?
No matter how high the talent was, it would be nothing but a waste in the end.
Gussie was really regretful and a little scared. After all, a character like Killer was a top existence in the Underground world. It was too difficult for a girl like her to face him.
"Okay, I'll heal your wounds in a while. We'll fight again after dinner, and it's over for today," Nathan said with a smile.
Looking at his smile, the two couldn't help but feel a chill.
After eating a delicious meal of wild pork in the evening, before they had time to digest it, Nathan took the two of them to the playground.
This time, Julian's opponent was Lobo.
Lobo didn't like Nathan for a long time. After all, he didn't get any benefit from helping Nathan but was suppressed instead. Therefore, he could only vent his anger on Julian, who was his apprentice.
After the first battle, he didn't hit hard, but every move was painful.
Julian's nose was crooked. He lay on the ground moaning in pain.
Gussie felt scared for a while. This guy named Lobo's ferocious temperament was even more exaggerated. Facing him, she probably didn't even have the courage to make a move.
"It's not okay to be afraid before fighting... Butcher, come here!" Nathan said to the potbellied Butcher.
Gussie saw that he was a big fat man, and she was relieved.
Butcher walked up to Gussie with a smile on his face, and said, "Little girl, it's rare to see Mr. Evans take so much effort to teach his disciples, you have to work hard!"
Gussie breathed a sigh of relief. This fat man was far worse than Killer in the daytime. At least, he wouldn't make her feel scared.
Just as she stood still, Butcher's eyes suddenly opened, his face became gloomy, and he slowly raised his right hand.
Gussie only felt a chill surrounding her, and a terrifying, bloody smell filled her nose.
Looking at the fat man standing opposite her, it was as if she saw the devil crawling out of the mountain of corpses.
Butcher didn't hold back. He rushed forward and attacked Gussie!
Gussie reacted hastily. After two moves, she let Butcher kick on her waist, and fell over. She fell to the ground, rolling in pain.
Nathan watched coldly and shook his head lightly. He thought that Gussie had killed a kidnapper, so she would be much more courageous, but it was obvious that he was thinking too much.
Facing top murderers like Killer and Butcher, she didn't even have the courage to fight. And she was timid every time she punched, for fear of being caught by the opponent. It needed to pay attention to attack without obstruction, either she killed others or be killed.
If Gussie continued to practice like this, she would be beaten to death sooner or later!
Nicolas stood in front of the office window, holding a cup in his hand, watching this scene with a smile.
He suddenly turned over and jumped out of the window. Before he landed, he slapped into the wall, and his body got a horizontal force. The whole person moved sideways and landed firmly on the ground. The height of more than five meters seems to him to be walking on flat ground.
"Mr. Evans!"
When the prisoners saw Nicolas appearing, they all fell silent and bowed their heads respectfully.
Nicolas calmly walked in front of Butcher, then pointed at Gussie.
Seeing that, Gussie was taken aback.
Nicolas waved at Butcher.
Butcher was startled, then grinned, raised his hand and hit Nicolas in the face with a slash!
Nicolas moved forward slightly, his body shook, his movements were as fast as lightning, he smashed the opponent's fist away, and he hit his head and face with a move of Back-fist Boxing! Butcher let out a scream. His face was blown, and he flew out and rolled on the ground more than a dozen times before stopping.
Both Julian and Gussie were dumbfounded.
This middle-aged man, who looked like a teacher, looked thin, but this attack was domineering and violent. The Butcher, who was so much bigger than him, was sent flying by him.
"Damn it, it's so cruel... Did I hit your daughter-in-law?" Butcher rubbed his cheek which was so painful that it was about to crack, cursing inwardly.
Nicolas stretched out his hand and gestured lightly to Gussie twice, then pointed to his heart.
Nathan explained, "My father said if you hesitate, you will lose!"
"If you hesitate, you will lose?" Gussie was stunned and suddenly remembered the game she had played in her mind.
The final big boss of this game, Warlord, said this sentence, "if you hesitated, you would lose."
"He told you not to be afraid, but to be in awe in your heart. You can only be in awe of life, morality, and gods, not people. Butcher also knows that he is not the opponent, but he still dares to attack. You're talented, but don't let fear limit your talent," Nathan watched Nicolas stretch his finger to the sky and explain to Gussie.
Gussie pursed her lips lightly. All she could think about in her mind was the game she was playing.
This game was difficult. The first time she encountered the boss in it, she was always afraid. Incessantly, she was afraid to use the knife and did not dare to fight. But as she died, again and again, she became familiar with the boss' moves, so she began to take the initiative to attack, constantly fighting with the boss.
When defeating the boss with untold hardships, she would get an unprecedented sense of satisfaction and accomplishment.
The duel that Nathan arranged for her now was like a more difficult game, but this difficulty was hell-level.
She still remembered that in order to defeat Warlord, she died hundreds of times and fought for almost three days before killing the boss.
After Nicolas smiled, he turned and left.
If you hesitate, you will lose...
In Gussie's mind, such a sentence always echoed,
Nathan clapped his hands, telling everyone to go back. And then, it was healing time again.
"Don't go to the cell to attack this kid today. If you want to beat him, I will arrange it tomorrow," When Nathan sent Julian back to the cell, he smiled at the prisoners whispering in each cell.
For these guys, opening such a prison door was too easy.
Everyone laughed, expressing that they would respect Nathan.
Julian said bitterly, "Isn't there anyone in this prison who is a little normal?"
"Most of them are not normal," Nathan shrugged and replied.
There were also ordinary prisoners in Devendill Prison.
But what was the point of asking them to compete with Gussie and Julian?
Gussie was beaten badly today. But that didn't stop Nathan from continuing to let her sleep on the floor.
It was still snowing outside. The old window was cracked, and the cold wind was hissing in, causing Gussie to curl up and shiver in the cold.
Looking back, Nathan was sleeping soundly on the big bed, which made her gnash her teeth in anger.
After gritting his teeth, Gussie got up from the floor, walked to the bed, lifted a corner of the quilt, and shrank in.
After being tense for a while, seeing that Nathan didn't make any movement, and her body gradually warmed up, she gradually relaxed and fell asleep peacefully.
