The greatest man alive novel (by Maverick Bowman) -
Chapter 75
The secretary sent by Grace was invited into the conference room.
"Miss Secretary, please tell Miss Cole that we will definitely replace a way to get her forgiveness. Please give us some time." Bailey said hastily.
The secretary gave Bailey a weird look, ignored her, and said to Natalie, "Ms. Natalie, I'm really sorry. Miss Cole doesn't feel well today and can't come here in person."
Natalie knew why Grace didn't feel well. After all, Negino had just slapped her on the face, and it was probably swollen by now.
"Never mind What's the matter?" Natalie asked politely.
"It's like this... Miss Cole has already written an apology letter. Please read it. Also, there is an endorsing contract with your company for free, and finally, a compensation of 6 million dollars." The secretary took out three things, an apology letter, a contract, and a check.
The secretary's words made the entire board of directors quiet.
Just now, they were going to watch Natalie being embarrassed, but they didn't expect the secretary to come here not to cause trouble but to apologize. They were curious how Natalie made Grace bow and scrape to such an extent.
Bailey was dumbfounded at this scene, as if her face were slapped hard, making her feel extremely uncomfortable.
Old Mr. Johnson couldn't help but frown deeply. Initially, he was about to discuss how to get Grace's forgiveness. But he did not expect Natalie had already settled.
"No. Seriously? Natalie offended Miss Cole so badly. Then Miss Cole doesn't do anything else but forgive her now?" Bailey said in shock.
"Miss Cole sincerely apologizes to you, and we hope you can accept it..." The secretary ignored Bailey and said to Natalie.
"What? Miss Cole apologizes to Natalie?"
The executives were stunned again, and their minds went blank. They needed help figuring out the current situation.
Nathan helped Natalie take the things from the secretary and said, "We already received her apology. You can go back to tell her that this is the end of the matter."
"I see, Mr. Evans," The secretary replied politely and then left.
Nathan turned his head, looked at Bailey indifferently, and said, "Kneel, and call me dad."
"What? You asked me to kneel and call you dad? What qualifies you to ask me to do that? You dirty prison guard!" Bailey said in shock and anger.
"Just now, you have already made a bet with me. You said that if we settle this matter, you will kneel and call me dad," Nathan said calmly, "Everyone heard it. Are you going to renege now?" Bailey's face was filled with a mixed look of anger and fear, and even her father Reif's face darkened. Bailey was his daughter.
If she knelt to a young man and called him dad, how would others view them?
Bailey sneered, "So what? What can you do if I'm being cheeky?"
"This is the Johnson Group, and it's the property of our Johnson family. I can do whatever I want to! I reneged on my words, and you don't like it? If so, what can you do?"
Nathan turned his head to look at Old Mr. Johnson and said, "Old Mr. Johnson, what do you think?"
Old Mr. Johnson pretended not to hear it, but obviously, he favored Bailey.
Natalie was also a little angry at this time. She knew very well that with Bailey's overbearing personality if Nathan failed, she would force him to death. However, after Nathan won, she went back on her words and did it so openly and shamelessly, making people feel disgusted.
The most important thing was that the executives and Old Mr. Johnson were also deliberately partial to Bailey, as if this incident had never happened.
"Oh... Forget it... I will tear up all these things, and you can take yourselves as winners," Nathan raised his hand with a smile and tore up the apology letter.
Old Mr. Johnson's eyelids trembled violently, and the executives were also shocked.
"The check worth 6 million dollars should be torn up. After all, no one kept their promises. Haha!" Nathan continued to laugh and say.
"Wait!" Old Mr. Johnson hurriedly stood up.
A sudden sound rose.
Everyone saw a piece of paper in Nathan's hands was torn into shreds.
All the executives couldn't help being shocked and angry. They didn't expect Nathan would tear up the 6 million check at will!
Old Mr. Johnson also blushed scarlet and roared, "You... You tore up the check worth 6 million dollars?"
"Hah, it's just a blank sheet of paper. The check is here. However, if someone continues to renege, I'm not sure if I will tear it up!" Nathan said seriously.
Old Mr. Johnson said in a deep voice, "Natalie, can't you let your husband mind his words and behavior?"
Natalie also lost her temper at this time and pretended not to hear. They were a family, but why they all picked on her?
Nathan yawned and said, "I'm tearing it into pieces? Then you can replace Grace to explain it yourselves."
After saying this, he was really about to tear the check worth 6 million dollars.
"Don't! Don't, Nathan. Let's sit down and have a talk..." Old Mr. Johnson suddenly changed his attitude and said with a smile in an amicable tone.
"Oh? Old Mr. Johnson, what do you think we should do? Someone wants to renege, so it's useless for me to keep it!" Nathan said vexatiously.
Old Mr. Johnson was furious but still forced his face into a smile, then he said, "Who dares to renege? Everyone heard it clearly just now, and no one dares to renege in front of me!" Bailey hurriedly called out, "Grandpa!"
"Shut up!" Old Mr. Johnson scolded, "You must be responsible for your mistakes and failures. Bailey, fulfill your promise immediately!"
Old Mr. Johnson's roar made Bailey aggrieved, and her face flushed.
Nathan waved the check in his hand, gesturing for Bailey to begin quickly.
Snap!
Under the watchful eyes of everyone, Bailey couldn't do anything but kneel to Nathan. She felt extremely aggrieved. She never expected she would kneel to a man she had always looked down upon one day! "Father..." Bailey gritted his teeth and squeezed out this word.
Sitting on the chair, Reif was so angry that his eyes were red, but he could do nothing. After all, it was Bailey who made the promise.
Natalie turned her head and gave Nathan a reproachful look. Although she also felt delightful after she saw it, she still thought it was a bit out of line.
Nathan sneered, "Okay, good girl, get up..."
After saying this, he threw the check and contract to Old Mr. Johnson and said, "Old Mr. Johnson, should Natalie continue to be the president?" "Um..." Old Mr. Johnson nodded quietly.
Natalie couldn't help but feel relieved and turned her head to smile slightly at Nathan. This was the first time she smiled at Nathan in a long time.
After Bailey got to her feet, she was furious and shouted, "Don't forget just now Natalie promised to get the projects from the Giradia Group! Grandpa, I think we can evaluate her through this matter."
"If she can make it, she can still be the president, and everyone has no objections. If she fails, let her leave the position as soon as possible!"
