Chapter 285

9 pm.

Blue Bay Club.

Jay’s father Shane Bennett sat with Bill in a private room.

This private room was filled with beautiful women and bodyguards in black.

It was a very enjoyable life indeed.

Normally, Shane would be in the mood to enjoy himself.

However, he was in no mood for fun today.

The Bennett family’s bankruptcy would be devastating if things were not settled.

There would be customers asking for goods, suppliers demanding payment, and the government

breathing down their necks…

The Bennett family would be doomed!

“Mr. Wallace, see if you like this genuine item my friend brought back from abroad.”

With a big smile on his face, Shane nudged a Rolex Green Submariner toward Bill.

This super high-end watch was authentic and cost six figures.

However, it was nothing compared to the Bennett family’s precarious situation.

Bill glanced at his watch and looked at Shane with a fake smile.

If Jay and Sean were good friends, Bill would be nice to Shane.

Unfortunately, there seemed to be some tension between Jay and Sean.

In that case, Bill did not have to do Shane any favors.

“Mr. Bennett, I thought you have forgotten me.”

Bill picked up the watch to take a look. Then he put it down gently.

A dense layer of sweat could not help breaking out on Shane’s forehead when he heard that.

“Mr. Wallace, I didn’t know that worthless son of mine offended you…

“I just found out about it today, so I immediately came here to apologize…”

Shane dared not cover it up and spoke the truth.

“Uh-huh.”

Bill took a sip from his glass and nodded slightly.

Shane pondered for a second before yelling at the door, “Get in here, you b*stard!”

As soon as he said that, Jay walked through the door trembling.

“On your knees!”

Shane started yelling again as soon as Jay walked up to them.

He was here to make amends.

Everything would be worth it as long as they made Bill happy and withdrew whatever he did to the

Bennett family.

Jay clenched his teeth slightly and fell to his knees with a thump.

Though it was embarrassing to do so, it would be even more embarrassing if the Bennett family went

bankrupt!

“Mr. Wallace, I’m sorry…”

Jay lowered his head as he admitted his mistake to Bill.

“Louder!”

Shane yelled at Jay again.

“Mr. Wallace, I’m sorry. Be the bigger person and not take it to heart…”

Jay straightened his upper body and spoke louder.

“Cough…”

Shane coughed, turned his head, bent over slightly, and looked at Bill with an obsequious smile.

“Mr. Wallace, what do

Shane asked Bill carefully.

“He’s just a kid. I won’t take it to heart.

“It’s in the past anyway.”

Bill waved his hand slightly, looking very generous.

“Oh, oh, okay, okay….”

you think…”
