The Headmaster Alpha's Mate
The Headmaster Alpha’s Mate Chapter 36

“s**t” Zander called out, then quickly placed a k**s on each of Chloe’s red buttocks. It was not his ideal way of taking care of her after her first discipline session, but it was all they had time for.

“What’s wrong?” Chloe asked, still recovering from her explosive and mind-blowing climax.

“Nicki’s parents are here early,” Zander growled out. He had half a mind to leave them where they sat for the two hours, but that would probably not help Nicki in the long run.

Chloe quickly got up, and pulled up her underwear and tights, then put her skirt to the regulation length, as Zander tried to control himself, his length bulging against his trousers was both painful and very noticeable and that would not help either.

Lacey Black sat behind the school reception desk. She smiled at the very serious looking Mr Davis and his timid looking wife.

Alpha, can I come in yet, just me?

She mind linked to Zander, she was not stupid, she knew very well that her Alpha and Luna were up to no good in his office.

Just you

Zander linked back to her.

“Mr and Mrs Davis, if you could wait a few moments, I will see if the headmaster is available now for you. We were not expecting you for another couple of hours.” Lacey smiled politely, then headed to Zander’s door.

Knocking, she walked in and closed it behind her.

“s**t guys, the smell of arousal is so bad even a human will catch the scent!” Lacey exclaimed, as Chloe blushed.

“And Chloe is in the afterglow, very noticeable! We need to sort this now!” Lacey continued, then rushed to the window and opened it wide, then proceeded to go behind Zander’s desk and grab a tin of air freshener and spray it everywhere.

“Damn, I wanted to be dressed more like a suitable friend for Nicki, her father is really conservative, and my normal clothes and hair will make him judge me!” Chloe exclaimed.

“Talking of hair, where the hell is my grey hair spray, I need to spray my temples!” Zander panicked slightly, looking in the drawers of his desk.

“Look, I can climb out the window and get back to the dorm. Why don’t you tell them the headmaster is busy for the next half an hour, and have someone come give them a tour of the school?” Chloe suggested.

“Good thinking Luna.” Lacey smiled, as Chloe rushed to the open window and began to climb out, using the climbing Ivy that grew up the external walls to steady her decent.

“I don’t know if I should be relieved or concerned. My mate has obviously escaped places before!” Zander growled, as he watched his princess expertly climb out the window.

“No Time Zander, you need to mind link the students, then have Josh come to show them around,to buy you some time.” Lacey said, then pulled out the tin of grey hair dye he was looking for, so he could age himself a little, and passed it to him.

Students and teachers, humans are on the school grounds. Please make sure you behave appropriately. Zander linked the students and staff of the school together.

Josh, I need you to come show Nicki’s parents around. They have arrived early and I am not ready! Zander continued.

Why are you not ready for them? Josh asked with annoyance clearly in his tone, even though they were early, he was still pissed his brother had not been prepared. He was normally ready for anything!

I had a discipline issue to sort out before I got ready. Zander replied almost sheepishly.

Lacey walked to the door and rolled her eyes at Zander. This was not good at all.

Heading back to the reception desk, Lacey smiled one more at Mr and Mrs Davis.

“The headmaster sends his apologies, but he has an urgent matter regarding a student to attend to. He will be free in around half an hour when he will greet you personally. However, in the meantime, I will send for our head boy to come give you a tour of the academy whilst you wait.”

Lacey picked up the internal phone, and pretended to ask for Josh, knowing he was already on his way.

Chloe ran as quickly as she could round the school building towards her dorm and, taking the stairs two at a time, she hurried into her room. Stripping off her fishnet tights ,she pulled out a pair of white knee-high socks that Nicki had lent her to meet her parents, then looking at her hair, she quickly brushed it and placed it in a bun at the nape of her neck. You could still see the purple but it was not as notable from the front. She then did up the top button on her white school blouse and retied her school tie into a Windsor knot.

“God, I look like a right swat!” she said to her reflection. Smoothing out her blazer and skirt, she proceeded to make her way back to class.

Zander stood in front of his private bathroom mirror and carefully sprayed streaks of grey over his dark hair, then quickly changed into a tweed jacket. He did not have time to age his forehead and eyes with some latex, but what he had done definitely helped. If a comment was made regarding his now smooth skin, he would tell them he had botox! Desperate times called for desperate measures and given Nicki and Joshua’s future was at risk, this was definitely a desperate time. Taking out a pair of brown-rimmed glasses, Zander sat behind his desk, and linked Lacey that finally, he was ready.

Joshua rounded the corner and took a steady breath, then opened the door to the school office. He smiled and extended his hand towards Mr Davis.

“Mr Davis, Joshua Colton Head boy.” Josh smiled and introduced himself, resisting the urge to squeeze Nicki’s father’s hand and crush it because he was trying to take his mate away.

“Well, I know who you are, you are the young punk distracting my daughter from her studies.” Mr Davis spat out. It could have been menacing to anyone who was not a werewolf, but to Joshua the man’s attempts to intimidate him were nothing short of pathetic.

“Far from it, I have been helping Nicola with her studies. She is a good friend and an excellent student”. Joshua straightened his shoulders, even at 18, at 6 foot 3 inches, he towered over Nicki’s dad.

“Isn’t that the head girl’s job? Where is she?” Mr Davis asked, looking around.

“I am sure the Headmaster will explain everything Sir, but for now, would you like to see some of the classes? I know when you visited the last time, you only saw the dorm Nicola would be staying in.” Josh smiled, not waiting for an answer but leading Mr and Mrs Davis towards the main school building.

Chloe walked back into her English class, Mr Kyle did a double take at her subdued appearance. As she took her seat next to Nicki she whispered to her.

“Your parents are here early,” Chloe explained.

Nicki held her breath and looked at her friend, the fear evident in her eyes.

“Josh is showing them around the classes, whilst Zander makes himself look older”, Chloe continued to whisper.

“How do you know?” Nicki asked.

“Because I was with Zander when they turned up and let’s just say their timing sucked a*s!” Chloe gritted out, still frustrated about the interruption to something she had been looking forward to since the first time she saw Zander, and the reality was even better than her fantasy.

Nicki frowned in question at Chloe, who raised her eyebrows in response.

“Oh!” Nicki said, her eyes wide, then began to snigger at her best friend.

“Heads up everyone.” Mr Kyle said to the class, having received a link from Josh that he was heading to the class with Nicki’s parents.

“Nicki, can you read out your comparisons please” Mr Kyle nodded at her encouragingly.

Nicki stood and began to read out what she wrote, regarding Mr Darcy and his friends’ judgment of the Bennet family, not only because of Mrs Bennet’s lack of propriety, but also their financial situation. In her surmising she questioned if attitudes had really changed over the years. Mr Kyle knew it was an excellent piece of work Nicki had produced and wanted Mr Davis to hear for himself , his daughter’s excellent report.

The door to the class opened as Josh entered with Mr and Mrs Davis. He was trying to hold his temper with the man, his ideas about his daughter were archaic even by protective and possessive werewolf standards. His poor wife, Nicki’s mum, was unable to speak, even if Josh asked her a direct question, then the man refused to let her utter a word, answering for her.

Upon listening to Nicki’s report, Mr Davis shook his head in disgust.

“Nicola, you know very well, the Bennet sisters were a disgrace to those who attached themselves to them, yet you make no mention of that in this report.” He shouted out across the class, humiliating her.

Instantly Nicki began to tremble. Her father believed all women should be seen and not heard, that a daughter should work hard to advance her family’s position. It was what he had informed her throughout her life, that she was not capable of making a decision without the help of him. Therefore, he held control over her finances, even making decisions about who she could or could not be friends with. He had been adamant that he would choose a husband for her, who would elevate his own standing and hers when the time came.

Josh instantly felt the fear wash over Nicki, and all he wanted was to go over and hold her protectively to him, it would calm her, and also give her courage. His dislike for Nicki’s father only intensified.

Suddenly, Chloe stood up beside Nicki, she could not sit by and watch her friend humiliated like this, even if it was the man they were trying to appease.

“That is an interesting point of view, and whilst I agree that Lydia and Kitty were flighty, and their behaviour was not acceptable for the regency period. What I must say is, Jane Austin was a woman beyond her times, hence why her works are still renowned and loved in today’s modern age. The Bennet sisters, Elizabeth mostly, were determined to be master of their own destiny, not to bow down to the preconceived ideas of those who sought to bring them down because of their family and their low connections, or even the fact that they were women. You could argue that Jane Austin was at the forefront of inciting a change of ideals where women were concerned, which, as history tells us, was much needed and ultimately, in the modernist western world, gave all people, no matter their gender, equal rights.” Chloe stated, desperate to defend her friend’s point of view.

“Well done, Chloe, a well-thought out response to that impromptu debate. I must agree, Jane Austin was a lady ahead of her time.” Mr Kyle interrupted.

Mr Davis scowled and turned on his heels, not happy that a girl had argued against him.

“I have seen enough. Now where is the headmaster!” Mr Davis said, storming out the English class.

“s**t, sorry Nicki, I think I may have made this worse.” Chloe apologised.

“Chloe, I am not going with him, I have lived under his rule all my life. I will not return to that nightmare. I will not leave Josh.” Nicki whispered.

“No Nicki, we will replace a way.” Chloe agreed, hoping Zander could calm the situation down, and reverse the damage that she had done.
