The Headmaster Alpha’s Mate Chapter 75

Sheba shook her light purple fur, as she growled at the wolves from the Ullswater pack, Caesar stood on her right-hand side, with Jerry on her left-hand side. Robin and Lacey remained in their human form just behind them, so that they could translate a message from the King and Queen. Every werewolf, whether in human or wolf form, bared their necks or hunkered down on their front paws in submission, even the council members. Only Ethan continued to work on Delphine, as Sheba growled in anger at Alpha Ken’s wolf.

“Ethan, how is she?” Chloe asked as her wolf paced back and forth in front of them, snarling at the Ullswater pack.

“Alive, but badly injured, I need Dr Keto, and another healer.” Ethan linked back in desperation.

Suddenly, the Beta from the Wearside pack walked up to Chloe, his hands stretched out in front of him in a show of peace, not wanting to upset the royal wolf, who was clearly angry.

“Your Highness, I am Beta Robert of Wearside Pack. The girl is the mate of my Alpha’s second son, Issac. I am a healer, and my Alpha, Luna, and I request your permission to help tend to the girl.” Robert said, then bowed his head in reverence.

“Robin, tell him yes, and put a call out for any other healers, also get Andrew here.” Zander linked

“He is already on his way.”

Robin took a step forward.

“Beta Robert, you are most welcome. Also, any Healers from the packs who have an alliance with us, we ask that you step forward.”

Some of the gifted and talented students immediately stepped forward to help their school mate, whilst others from the packs also arrived to help Ethan heal Delphine.

Alpha Hamish from the Ronsey pack and his mate, Alpha Douglas, both stepped forwards, and offered help. Although they were not healers, they helped run their own, pack hospital, given there was a very small pack.

James and Janet walked towards Sheba and Caesar, who continued to protect Delphine and the pack members who were itching to fight, by projecting their united power over the arena.

“As we are the council members here, I would like to pronounce, that the Ullswater Pack are hereby disqualified from these games with immediate effect, and must all leave this area and start to return to their own lands within three hours. Also, if the Mate of this young heroic warrior would like to avenge this atrocity, he has our full authority to challenge William Wallace to a death match.”

Issac shifted to his human form, then bowed before Caesar and Sheba, then looking down at Delphine’s unconscious and bleeding body, he turned to them both.

“If my new Alpha and Luna, King Zander and Queen Chloe give me their permission, I would like to take up the offer to avenge my mate in a death match with the cheating scum from Ullswater.” He declared.

“He has our permission.”

Robin relayed Zander’s message, and instantly the wolves all began to retreat. A whimper could be heard from the crowd, as Alpha Ken turned his back, and instructed all his pack to leave the area immediately, but then, as they reached the edge of the field, Alpha Ken turned around, venom in his eyes as she stood glaring at Zander, Chloe and the council members.

“This is not the last you will hear about this, we will avenge our pack member.” then he ran off, leaving the boy behind to his fate.

Andrew ran onto the field with a stretcher, as they picked up Delphine, the healers, all taking it in shifts to keep their hands on her to give her the best possible chance of survival. Before they took her to the hospital, Issac stood beside his mate, and bent over to her.

“Just keep that beautiful heart of yours beating for me. I will be with you soon.” He whispered softly, his voice cracking with the emotion, then he placed a soft k**s on the top of her b***d-soaked head, before turning to Zander and giving him a nod.

Seeing the danger had passed and that no attack was coming from the other packs who supported Ullswater, Zander shifted back to his human form, as Nicki ran onto the field passing some clothes to him, Chloe and Josh.

Zander walked up to Issac and placed a fatherly hand on his shoulder.

“Are you sure you want to do this now, we can have this fight later, and hold this i***t in the cells?” He asked.

Alpha Harry approached, and nodded at Zander.

“The king is right, Issac, you can do this later, your mate needs you now, my boy.” he softly told him.

Issac looked up at the two men in front of him, and slumped his shoulders. Fear of losing his mate before he even knew her began to rise in his stomach, and he knew this would weaken him during the fight, but he also had rage, that anyone would be such a coward to do that, and especially to his mate. Confused, he looked at his father.

“Dad, I don’t know what to do, I want revenge but I want to be with Delphine.”

“Then be with your mate, there is a time for everything, and vengeance can wait.” Alpha Harry smiled at his son.

“I agree, Issac, and welcome to The Crescent Moon Pack.” Zander smiled at his newest pack member, pleased that he would be staying with Delphine.

“Thank you your highness.” Issac bowed.

“It is just Alpha, or Zander, and let me give you a word of warning. My mate likes to just be called Chloe, unless she doesn’t like you, and I am sure she will, as long as you make her friend happy.” Zander chuckled.

“Come let us get you to the hospital.” Zander smiled, then looked at Chloe who had shifted back and put on the clothes Nicki had brought.

“Alpha Harry, would you do us the honour of helping Alpha Josh and Alpha Robin sort out this mess in our absence?” Chloe asked.

“Of course my Queen.” Alpha Harry bowed.

“It is just Chloe, I like you and Issac.” Chloe smiled, but then looked at Zander, because right now all she wanted was to get to the hospital and see Delphine.

“Nicki, are you coming with me or staying with Josh?” Chloe asked.

“Coming, is that okay Josh?” Nicki asked.

“Always my little froggy.”

Chloe, Zander, and Nicki sat with Issac in the corridor outside the operating room. Cheryl walked towards them with a tray full of tea and coffee, then passed the hot liquid to each of them. Nicki scrunched up her nose, as if the coffee was poison, and her face paled again as a wave of nausea hit her out of the blue. Groaning, she tilted her head forward, hoping she would not throw up all over the nice sterile floor. Chloe raised her eyebrows up at Cheryl, who looked at her daughter, concern etched on her face.

“Are you okay Nicki?” Cheryl asked.

“Yeah, I am fine, just think I have a bug of some sort.” Nicki shrugged, but the smell of the coffee was now invading her senses, and she felt her stomach begin to heave, and so stood up and rushed to the bathroom.

Zander sat next to Issac, engaging him in conversation, trying to keep him as calm as he could, whilst they waited for news.

Periodically, over the past three hours, they were joined by Ethan and Robert, as they sat with them to replenish themselves,sharing the load of keeping a steady stream of healing power in Delphine, whilst Andrew worked on her body, attempting to give her enough time so that her wolf could begin to heal her. If he was honest, he did not hold out much hope for her, but he would not give up on the young woman, not until her heart stopped beating.

Chloe looked at Cheryl, then whispered to her.

“She has been nauseous for a few days, picky about her food, loving bacon and mushroom sandwiches, so much so her face lights up like Josh has just walked into the room wrapped in froggy gift wrap. Lacey and I have suggested she visit Andrew, but she thinks she is okay.”

“Does she know what this probably is?” Cheryl asked.

“Not a clue.” Chloe had a half smile, she would have loved to feel the full excitement about what was clearly happening with her best friend, but right now all she wanted was for her other friend to survive the attack.

“Okay, leave this with me. Could you ask Josh to come if he is free? I think they need to be together, and I know exactly where Andrew keeps those tests.” Cheryl smiled, hardly able to conceal her excitement at the possibility of becoming a grandmother.

“Hey Josh, do you think you could come to the hospital? Nicki is sick again, and Cheryl wants your permission to run a test on her, as Andrew is obviously busy.”

“Chloe, is she all right? I will be there in three minutes.” Joshua’s panicked voice linked with her.

“She is fine, but yeah, if you can come so that we, can get this sorted.”

“On my way, How is Delphine?” Josh asked.

“Hanging on, she is a fighter, we have the healers on a sort of shift patter whilst Andrew attempts to patch her up enough so her wolf can heal her, but he has said it is still touch and go.”

Chloe let out a deep sigh, she was trying to remain calm for Issac’s sake, but the longer this went on without much improvement the more concerned she became. Emotions began to well up in her eyes, but she blinked back the tears, determined to be a strong Luna and Queen. She could not afford to show weakness, even though she felt like her heart was breaking.

The door to the hospital room opened, as Ethan and Robert stood, ready to take over again. Suddenly, the beeping from the heart monitor stopped, a single beep remained, the green line on the monitor flat and Issac let out the most horrific howl of pain.

Chloe pushed passed every one, as Andrew looked at the clock.

“Time of death…”

“NO!” Chloe shouted, as Zander rushed to her, gathering her by her waist.

“NO.NO. NO!” she continued to scream out, as Issac fell to the floor, screaming in agony.

“I am sorry Issac, Luna,but she is gone.” Andrew stated, then once again looked at the clock.

“NOOOOOOO!” Chloe screamed out, as tears began to run freely down her cheeks.

She rushed to Delphine and grabbed hold of her limp white body, holding her close to her chest.

A tear fell from her cheek, landing on the largest wound on Delphine’s neck. Suddenly, the skin began to close, as another tear fell, the monitor made a small beep, before flat lining again. As Chloe began to sob, her tears falling onto Delphine’s skin, the monitor once again beeped, then again, and again, until it showed a steady heartbeat. The more tears that fell into the wounds on Delphine’s body, the more they healed, not even leaving a scar. The whole room looked on in stunned silence, as Issac scrambled to his feet, running to the bed, he reached out to his mate, taking Delphine’s hand in his. With each tear Chloe shed onto his mate’s body, he felt a tingle, not that of the mate bond, but more like electric shocks, and he looked up at Chloe, then to Zander.

“She is healing her,it is a miracle.” he began to shout, as the colour returned to his mate’s face.

Chloe looked up in shock, as Delphine fluttered open her eyelids, and looked around, before pulling herself up onto her elbows, and smiling at her mate, she said/

“Who the f**k just shocked me with electricity? That hurt like a b***h!”

Ethan clapped his hands with excitement, then grinning he looked at Chloe.

“She did” he grinned, pointing at Chloe.,

“And yes, it does hurt like a b***h, but her tears healed me, and they just brought you back to life!” he exclaimed with joy.

Zander wrapped his arms around his mate,filled with pride. They already knew she was special,but to bring Delphine back like this was truly a miracle, and he shook his head at her in awe.

The door opened, and Nicki walked in, her face pale and looking like she was in shock. Josh was beside her beaming with pride.

“Oh, Delphine, you are healed, thank GOD!” Nicki exclaimed.

“Yes, today is a day of miracles.” Josh grinned, then looked at Zander, unable to contain his news,,then looked at |Nicki as if to ask permission and she giggled, nodding.

“So, Delphine is alive, and Niki is pregnant.” Josh grinned.

Issac smiled, but his eyes never left Delphine’s, as he held onto her, unable to believe she was there and looked fit and healthy, not at all like she was dead just five minutes ago.

“Today will be forever known as the day of blessing in this pack. Delphine found her mate, she won her medal, and was raised from the dead, and my niece or nephew is coming into this world. We are all blessed indeed.”Zander said, a small tear falling down onto his handsome face.
