The Headmaster Alpha’s Mate Chapter 8

Zander walked out of Lacy Blacks office, rage pulsing through him like Furness, fearful, Caesar would take complete control he headed out into the school grounds, and into the tree line, the lush green pine trees blurred as he ran in his human form dodging the branches, and jumping over the roots, to try and regain some control.

“Zander, my mate is completely freaked out, she is worried about Chloe.” Josh informed him via mind link.

“Tell her she is with Mrs Black, Chloe didn’t have time for breakfast, take her some, have your mate go with you, I will deal with Ursula once I have calm down my wolf” Zander growled back.

Josh placed a protective arm around Nicki’s shoulder as tears fell from her beautiful hazel eyes.

“Let’s go get some food for Chole, what does she like to eat?” Josh asked Nicola, his voice soft and warm, calming her fractured nerves a little.

“She normally has a light breakfast, just cereal” Nicola stated heading for the food counter to grab an individual box of Frosties and a small jug of milk.

“She has passed out, she needs something more than just sugar coated cornflakes” Josh said whilst grabbing a croissant and pecan nut pastry, along with a bottle of water.

“Come on, lets go see where the Headmaster took her” Josh smiled, already aware where Chloe was, but not wanting to raise to many questions in Nicola’s mind.

As they headed to the administration block, Josh looked over to Nicki, his heart pounding in his chest, his wolf Jerry pacing back and forth, begging him to keep his mate next to him, to hold on to her, and never let anybody else hurt or upset her again. The closer she got to her eighteenth birthday the more restless Jerry became, and the harder it was for Josh not to give in to him.

“Joshua, the headmaster is out of his office at present” Mrs Black informed him

“Actually, we came to check on Chloe and fetch her some breakfast, she didn’t eat before the incident happened” Josh smiled at Lacy.

“Of course, she is resting in my office, you can both go in. I will contact Ms Jennings and let her know you will be late to class Nicola” the beta’s wife smiled warmly.

Walking into Mrs Blacks office Nicola saw her new friend laid out on the large cream sofa, her eyes flickered open moving she began to sit up.

“Hi, we brought you some food” Nicki smiled down at Chloe.

“Where is the headmaster?” Chloe asked, she wanted answers, how he was here? How a man of no more than 24 years old was the headmaster of this academy, and why the hell did he k**s her head?

“He has gone off to sort some things out before dealing with Ursula” Josh smiled down at his brother’s mate and the future Luna of the pack.

Chloe sat up straight and began to eat the food Nicola and Josh had brought to her, she did not realise just how hungry she actually was, until the buttery croissant made her taste buds explode into life and she swallowed the delicious food.

“You will need to eat more than just cereal at breakfast now you are here, lu..Chloe. We do a lot of training and exercise every day” Josh began to school her.

“Not if I can replace a way out of it I won’t” Chloe shrugged with a smile.

“Nope, you will still have to do it, trust me” Nicola laughed, as if she had already tried to get out of the PE lessons.

Taking another bite of the croissant Chloe furrowed her brows together, then looked up at Nicky.

“What happened, one minute I was going toe to toe with Ursula, then next minute, I collapse, after being surrounded by the most addictive smell ever?” she asked

“You were fine, then when the headmaster arrived you went really funny, blushed wildly, and started to ask why he was here” Nicki filled her in.

Josh shifted uncomfortably in his seat, as he listened to the two human girls talking about what happened, what was strange was how Chloe reacted to his brothers scent, the smell of her arousal had filled the dining hall, it was as strong as any female wolf meeting her mate for the first time.

“I told you the head was hot but did not expect you to fall at his feet like that” Nicki giggled.

Instantly Jerry growled out protectively, the sound escaping Joshua’s lips and strode over to Nicki, and all but grabbed her in a bear hug, as Chloe watched on wondering why he was behaving so strangely.

“You are not allowed to call my brother hot.” Josh g*****d into Nicki’s ear unable to control himself.

“Possessive much” Chole stated, shaking her head.

As she looked at Nicola she could see her cheeks pink up, her eyes fully dilated, as she stared adoringly into Joshua’s eyes, as he held her to him as if to let her go would cause him physical pain.

“Look, it as clear as day you two fancy the pants off each other, why don’t you stop p***y footing around and just go out on a date or something, because all this back and forth, hot and cold, is giving me whiplash” Chloe shrugged at the pair of them, they needed to face it as far as she was concerned.

Nicola’s cheeks flushed a deeper red, as Josh seemed to sniff at her neck. Chloe looked on a with a small giggle, thinking that he had some weird neck sniffing fetish, but Nicola seemed to enjoy it.

“You know she is right, I do want to be with you, I only kept my distance, because Ursula can be well Ursula and I did not want her taking out the fact that I am not interested in her on you.” Josh stated

“Yeah, well that didn’t work” Chloe stated, as she ate more of her breakfast

“I know, but Nicki I have to ask will you come out for a date with me? I am staying at the school tonight, maybe we can go for a picnic in the forest after I finish my extra training?” Josh asked, the question that he had longed to ask since the first second he saw her.

“Y…Y…Yes” Nicola stammered before looking at her feet with a shy smile.

“So, what is going to happen with Uptight Ursula?” Chloe asked wondering what the protocol would be for the head girl.

“Not sure, it is up to my brother, he will sort her out. If it were up to me, she would be kicked out of the school completely, but Zander likes to offer second chances to people” Josh shrugged.

After running of over forty minutes, Zander started to feel a little calmer when he thought about Ursula, heading back to the school, he mind linked Lacy.

“Is Ursula in her room?”

“Yes Alpha, do you want me to come with you to see her?”

“Yes, meet you at her dorm in five minutes”

“Oh, and mind link your mate, have her things removed from the ranked floors of the pack house, she can stay in the basement with the omegas, until she learns that nobody is better than anyone else, everyone is equal, irrespective of rank!”

Zander cut off the mind link then making sure his clothes were presentable and did not look like he had run through the forest he made his way back into the school and headed for the full moon dorm.

Lacy Black waited patiently for her Alpha to arrive, the situation with Ursula was difficult. Her father had served the former Alpha and Luna well, he was even injured during the great war, that killed Zander and Joshua’s parents, along with the whole royal family. Delta Kirkstone was a well-respected man within the pack, and that is why Ursula had been given a place in Full Moon and head girl status, as a recognition for her father’s service.

But the girl was so far removed from her father in personality, she had become increasingly power hungry, obsessed with Joshua, to the point of declaring him her mate, even though she had not reached her eighteenth birthday. It had become evident to everyone after Josh had reached his birthday and backed away from Ursula that she was not his mate, and so the girls grasp on power was slipping away, as more and more of the pack would not listen to her orders, nor follow where she led. The school rumour mill was going crazy, especially as two human girls had arrived, and for once the rumours were correct. Nicola Davis was Joshua’s mate, and once she was marked, she would enter into the higher program, so that they would both learn how to be Alpha and Luna in their own right. Because Alpha Zander had no heir, Josh was next in line to take over the pack, god forbid anything happened to him.

They lived in peaceful times now, but before the great war, it was different. Alphas clubbing together to take out the Royal b***d line, wanting to rule their packs as they saw fit, and not adhere to the rules the King had put in place, like the abolition of slavery, Omega’s been given equal rights to other pack members, and those who had human mates not being cast out of packs and made to turn rouge if they did not reject them upon sight. The barbaric tradition of pack members who had trouble accessing their wolf were banished, as too weak to remain in certain packs was declared illegal, much to the distain of many a power hungry Alpha.

Unfortunately, the War was lost, when the Royal B***d line was wiped out in the final battle, however some concessions were made, a council of elders, all former Alpha’s who had retired and passed the mantle to their heirs was made up to oversee treaties, and intervene to try and keep a peace between the packs who had different view points from each other. They had agreed to Zander’s request to set up the Eclipse house at the school, to help pack members to access their wolf, or to gently train humans who were mated to werewolves make the transition to pack life, even how to defend themselves in human form, so as not to be a burden to their packs. But even so, some Alpha’s still treated omegas like scum of the earth, and banished pack members who refused to reject human mates and slavery was still being used to this day.

As Zander approached Lacy she bowed her head, and stood aside, ready to follow him into Ursula’s room.

Ursula was pacing backwards and forwards like a caged animal in her dorm, she could not understand why the headmaster had sided with a human over his own pack member, it was disgusting, and she wanted answers, after all her father was the former Delta, she should have respect!

“Ursula Kirkstone, I hereby declare that you are no longer a border, nor part of the Full Moon program. You like to fight, then you will attend b***d moon, as a day student, and be expected to become a pack warrior. As you have had little warrior training, you will begin your lessons training with the omegas who have shown promise in becoming warriors. You will take your things and remove yourself from the academy now. Return your uniform to Mrs Black, and she will issue you the sand and black uniform tomorrow when you return to school and check in at the B***d Moon house.” Zander stated.

“But Alpha, please, I am to be a future Luna, I am mated to your brother” Ursula began to plead.

“No Ursula, you are not mated the future Alpha, you are not eighteen, and when he turned it became clear you were not his fated mate. Count yourself lucky that this is the extent of your punishment, if it had not been for your fathers impeccable service to your former Alpha, I would have banished you from the school, and the pack. So, count your self lucky that you are still a pack member. Now go back to the pack house, remove your things from the top levels, the Beta will show you to your knew accommodation in the basement of the pack house, along with the other omegas, now MOVE” Zander shouted.

Ursula instantly bowed her head in submission, as tears of humiliation dripped down her cheeks, she was little more than an omega, if she was banished from this pack, she would have zero chance of ever replaceing another to take her in, unless it was to be a slave. Her mornings would now be sent waking at 5am, to begin extra training, before heading to school on the bus, and taking her place alongside other nobody’s in the pack, and one thought echoed in her mind, and that was to make the human bitches pay for this atrocity!
