Steven listened to the loud beep coming from his phone. For a moment, he didn’t know how to feel.This was the first time someone had dared to hang up on him before he finished speaking. And it washis own daughter.

Simone thought about her words for a moment. “Are you sure you want to break up with him?”

Gwen immediately nodded. “Of course, I’m sure. He called me again today, but I didn’t answer andblocked him. I’m a bit annoyed, and I want a drink.”

It wasn’t that she was still attached to him, but she was just feeling a bit frustrated especially when afriend sent her a message specifically to talk about it.

It was still early, and there weren’t many people on the second floor. The corner spot happened to beempty with dim lighting. It was just what the two of them needed, so they walked over and sat down.They ordered drinks and savored them while enjoying the live performance downstairs.

Soon, more people started to arrive, some of whom they knew. However, they didn’t bother to greetthem.

After half an hour, another group of people arrived.

Gwen was taken aback to see them. She turned to Simone. “Did you know that Useless Rock andScumbag No. 2 would come?” Gwen asked.

“I predicted that your presence here would completely resolve the issue that has been bothering you,”Simone said. “But I didn’t expect Useless Rock to be hanging out with Scumbag No. 2:
