Kate POV

I am laying in Erick's arms and watching as the white wolf moves closer to me. He is growling and drooling. He is not here to protect me or be on my side, he is here to kill me. He wants my life.

I feel paralyzed with fear. Erick opens his eyes, feeling me shaking. "What is wrong, Kate?" Erick asks.

Erick looks and sees the wolf coming toward us. I scream loudly. I am going to die. I am pregnant and I am going to die. Who will care for Belle and Chan when the wolf kills us both?

Erick jumps from the bed, taking his wolf form. The wolf is ready for him. The two begin to fight. I have to move, I have to kill him. Isabella has said I am the only one that can send him back to hell, but I am so scared.

I jump to my feet and take my wolf form. I begin to fight with Erick. "The baby, Kate, RUN!" Erick yells.

I sprint down the stairs and into the front of the house. There has to be something here I can kill the white wolf with, the fireplace. I see the fire burning. I can push him into the fire.

The white wolf and Erick come down the stairs. The white wolf wants me and he is not going to let Erick get in his way. He slams Erick against the wall.

"It is just you and I now, Kate. Give me what I want and I will be on my way," the white wolf

says.

"What do you want?" I ask him, inching closer to the fire.

"Your life, your children's lives, I want everything from you. I was on your side, but you abandoned me," the white wolf taunts me.

"You were never on my side," I say.

We circle each other, and with every movement I make I move closer to the fire. "He cheated on you with Cassie. He stole your child, and yet you bend over backward for him. He does not love you, Kate. Only I love you. I am the only one that has taken care of you and you turn your back on me!" the white wolf screams, his voice is loud and it echoes in a demonic tone.

"You are right," I say softly.

"Kate, NO!" Erick screams.

"He does not love me or my children. You are the only one that loves me," I say to the white wolf.

"Come with me Kate, be with me," the white wolf says.

"NO, KATE NO!" Erick screams out.

I turn to face the fire and wait for the white wolf to come closer to me. He sits down beside me. I reach down and pet him so softly. The white wolf begins to howl. He is content knowing he has won me.

Erick struggles to get to me. I look back at Erick. "Stay away from me!" I yell at Erick.

I reach beside the fireplace and grab the fire poker. When the wolf turns to look at Erick. I stab him. The white wolf collapses onto the floor of our cabin. He screams and howls as I take his life.

"You have no more power over me," I whisper to him as his life exits his body.

I run to Erick to see if he is okay. I throw my arms around him. His hand runs down my back and he pulls me close to him.

"I think I broke a few ribs when I hit the wall," Erick says.

"I can fix you right up," I say.

"No vampire blood," Erick says.

"Fine, then hurt all night," I say.

I help him to the couch. He sits down and howls as he moves. I feel his chest and down his side.

"Erick take my blood. This is bad," I beg him.

He shakes his head and agrees to take my blood. I cut my wrist and place it over his mouth. Erick drinks from me and begins to heal.

"What are we going to do with that wolf?" Erick asks me.

I look back at the frail white wolf laying in front of the fireplace. "Burn him!" I say.

"It is over," Erick says. The relief in his voice is music to my ears. To hear confidence coming from him that I have longed to hear for so long.

"She is still around, but I am not afraid of her," I say. The female counterpart seems to only show her face when I am in danger or when Belle was in danger.

"Good, go to bed. I will be up after I burn him," Erick says.

I look at Erick. He is crazy if he thinks I am going to let him take care of this in the shape he is

in right now. I click my tongue at him like I would a child.

"You are in no shape to be burning bodies," I say to him.

"So I am supposed to let my pregnant wife do it?" Erick asks.

"Yes, it is called teamwork," I say. Erick is not amused by my suggestion. He looks over at the body and then back to me.

"No, I do not think so. Give me time to heal and I will handle it," Erick says.

Erick heals after thirty minutes. He is still sore, but his ribs are no longer broken. He takes the white wolf outside and builds a fire. He burns the body and then comes back into the house to be with me. We are both exhausted but neither of us can sleep after all of the excitement. We lay in each other's arms until sunrise. We finally drift into a deep sleep.

I wake to the smell of coffee and bacon. I slip into clothes and go downstairs to see my sweet husband cooking me breakfast.

"You are a terrible cook, Alpha," I tease him.

"My wife was sleeping and my cook is babysitting," Erick snaps back at me. He pours me a cup of coffee and hands it to me.

"There is something we need to discuss, Erick," I say to him. Erick takes the bacon and eggs off of the stove. He puts our food on a plate and brings it to the table.

"I already know where this is going. You do not want Isabella to die," Erick says.

"No, I do not, but I understand. She is miserable as a vampire. I want to be the one to do it. I do not want someone who doesn't love her to stake her," I say.

Erick reaches for my hand. "I thought I would have John or Raven stake her. I do not want you to have to do this," Erick says.

I look into his eyes. "The pain of having to put Isabella out of her misery is a lot for me to handle, but there is no way I would let someone else do it. She is a friend, a member of this pack and she has helped us so much. She has delivered both of our babies. Honestly, I am being selfish thinking that I am terrified to have this baby without her," I say.

"You do not have to do this," Erick says.

"Yes I do," I say.

I eat my breakfast in silence. Erick gives me the time to think and work through my emotions. I want to scream and cry, but I have to be strong. I am the Luna and it is my job to help Isabella.

The front door opens. Both Erick and I look up to see Isabella coming into the house. She has a stake in her hand.

"I can do this myself, Kate. I do not want you to hurt because you put me down. I only want to be with my husband again," she says, tears rolling down her face.

Isabella raises the stake. I stand up from the table. She holds and tries, but she stops. "I cannot do it," she cries out.

I go to her as she falls to the floor crying. "I want to be with my husband, I want peace, Kate," Isabella cries out.

I take the stake from her hand and with one hard strike, I push it through her heart. Isabella falls back on me. I hold her as she leaves this world.

Erick calls John and Raven. The two come to the house quickly to help us bury Isabella. Her body now returned to her wolf form, no longer a vampire and we will bury her like a wolf. John and Raven worked to make a place for Isabella in the Alpha's cemetery. I wanted her with our family, she is family. She is the closest thing I ever had to a mother. She gave my children life and me a purpose. She taught me about being a hybrid. Always visit Narugi.com for more novels and updates.

When we placed her in the cemetery the entire pack come to say goodbye to her and thank her for her unconditional service to this pack. There was only one thing missing. I commissioned a wolf to make her a special headstone. On the stone it has her name and the dates of her life as a wolf, but the most important thing it said was at the top. Her stone says MOTHER.
