The Innocent Wife of Scheming President -
Chapter 27: She Is Lying
Olive looked back and looked at his face very carefully. He was good-looking, elegant and had natural curly black hair. She could not replace thethe man in her memory. She shook her head. "I'm sorry. I don't seem tohave any impression.”
Sometimes, she was not good at taking advantage of this opportunityto establish a relationship with other people.
"Did you graduate from Jiangcheng University?" Dave asked again.Olive nodded. "Yes, I have graduated more than five years."
Dave laughed."That's it. I graduated from there too. We are alumni. I'myour senior, two years senior to your grade. Maybe we've passed bybefore.”
"Really? That's a bit of a coincidence. Nice to meet you, Mr. Harrod."Olive stretched out her hand generously and shook with him.
She had to say that this was an exciting and unexpected news.
"Are you a native of Luo city?" Dave asked again.
"I was born and grow up here.” Olive laughed.
Dave also smiled gently. "It seems that if I have time, I can replace you asmy guide in Luo city."
"No problem." Olive answered simply. Subrina, took a fancy to this man.And at that time, she could call her out together to create opportunitiesfor them to get along, and she found another chance to slip away.Olive felt that she has the potential to be a matchmaker.
After a few talks, water boiled. Olive made coffee and put it to Alan'sdesk.
When Alan worked, he looked very serious. He has read the company'sreports which were for more than ten years carefully. The perfect profilealways made her feel unreal in the backlight.
Was this man really him? Did he Really appear in front of her? Shefeared that, this scene was like the foam on the sea. When the sunlightshone, it would disappear without a trace.
Back at the desk, she took a breath of relief and weakened at this time. She was vertiginous. Maybe she would have a serious cold.
Fortunately, Annie and her Grandparents slept together last night.Otherwise, she would have been infected.
Alan soon left the office, his dressing and striding behaviour attracted agroup of office ladies.
Olive had to admit that this man had a fatal attraction for womenbetween his gestures. Even she who she was not immature and younglike a girl, could still feel her heart beat very quick.
A few minutes later, the phone on the desk rang and she just answeredand said hello. His voice came over. "Come down. I'll wait for you in theunderground parking lot."
Olive was stunned. He waited for her? what did he want to do?Although she was doubtful, she still dared not neglect. Who was he? Hepaid her to make a living.
She quickly tidied up the desk, and turned off the computer. She had alesson from the past. She set up a more complex password for thecomputer. Reality taught her that one shouldn't had the heart to harmothers, but must be vigilant so as not to be harmed.
Alan put his hands on the steering wheel and looked at the direction ofher arrival in a daze.
Rather than installing a monitor to prevent people from idling, hewanted to observe her in secret. She was like an iron magnet, and thatnight's stunning appearance attracted all his attention.
In the surveillance screen, he saw that she looked a bit green aroundthe gills all day. Although she pretended to be fine, she could not hideher sickness on the face. He also watched her blowing her nose withpaper towels, and she was throwing away a trash basket. By theafternoon, her illness became more and more serious. He could notbear to see it any longer.
Stupid woman, sick like this, didn't know to ask for leave.
Olive somewhat puzzled to take the elevator to the parking lot. In thedim light, there was a car turning on the headlights. She walked over, through the open window, and asked, "Mr. Hoyle, what can I do foryou?"
"Get on the car.” Alan left her two words coldly.
Olive was confused and was about to ask where they were going. Alanhad lost his patience and got out, opened the back door and draggedher into the car.
Olive was vertiginous. Why he was so angry? Seeing that he was in abad mood, she shut up. He drove the car quickly along the road.
Until they went to the hospital, Olive was shocked. "Mr. Hoyle, what'swrong with you? Are you sick?"
“I'm fine. It's you who's not comfortable.”
"I'm fine. It's just a little cold, and I'll be all right soon." Olive had neverthought that he was so considerate. She felt warm in her heart, butsomewhat she was a little embarrassment.
Alan didn't want to talk nonsense with her. He almost took her andasked the doctor to give her a needle.
Dropping bottles hanging above the hospital bed, Olive lay obedientlyunder the pressure of his powerful aura. She felt that the ways which hetreated her seemed to be beyond the ordinary relationship betweensuperiors and subordinates. Just she trying to think deeply, he, standingin front of the window, answered a telephone. It broke her a littlefantasy.
She heard him calling the name of the person on the other end of thephone very intimately, "Ophelia."
Ophelia.
This was the name she would never forget in her life, and it was also hernightmare.
"Well, I see... I'll finish work here as soon as possible and hurry back to.. Don't worry about it... Pay more attention to your body... Bye." Hisvoice was very gentle, but very clear. The emotionless face seemed tohave a soft luster. A faint smile from the lip corner overflow, and then itsoftened his facial expression. The smile climbed to the eyebrows andeyes, like spring breeze.
Olive just glanced at it with her spare light, and felt her chest tighteninexplicably, as if many needles were stuck on it. Was he going to leavesoon?
Sure enough, they were a couple who have been in love for many yearsas people said, and she was the redundant one.
Therefore, Alan, I pretending not to know you, and not telling you theexistence of Annie, it should be the best choice.
Alan hung up the phone and sat down on the chair beside the bed. Hislegs overlapped and he was idle and charming inexplicably.
"I heard that you graduated from Jiangcheng University?"
Olive's eyelids jumped, but when she saw him careless expression, shecould not help laughing at herself in her heart. Maybe he had forgottenhis promise. She could not associate too much with his casual question. After all, promises couldn't support her for living. As time went by,people's minds would change.
