The king's eyes
Light in the dark

After this incredible experience, exhaustion overcame me and I fell into a deep sleep.

I dreamed of the wolf. He watched me, remaining in the background. He is suspicious and fearful but less aggressive.

The moon was in my dreams. It is at night that I must begin to heal Samael.

The next day, I spend a good part of the morning in my room, trying to study what I discovered about Samael’s subconscious.

The dream came to an abrupt end, surely because Samael woke up. This is a first experience for me, as for him. When the wolf approached me to have contact with me, maybe it caused an emotional shock in him and woke him up.

I don’t know how his conscience interpreted his dream. But he probably thinks he was just dreaming. He can't understand what was really going on.

It was dark night, without a moon at the beginning... Samael is blind. So it recalls his blindness, and certainly his loneliness, his despair... Without any guide to get out of it.

The moon has appeared after, and the demon is no longer alone and without a guide, thanks to my intervention.

Why is he a wolf when I remained human? ...

Me, I am perfectly aware of what I am. Not Samael. The wolf is a projection of his consciousness... Maybe since childhood, he sees this part of him this way, not really knowing what it is, he imagined it.

I remember having compared Samael to an aggressive dog... I was so close to reality finally...

Samael won’t let me trade with him for two days. It’s not so bad. In the meantime, I will continue my attempts to approach the wolf, when night comes. It was a necessary first step anyway if I want to succeed in achieving it.

I had my morning and lunch meals in my room with trays. They obviously want me to avoid running into the king or anyone.

I have to go out a little to take the benefits of the sun and nature, otherwise, I will waste away.

I go to the castle gardens, I want to immerse myself in the flowers, the trees, and the soil.

I put on a long-sleeved dress like every day. It is long enough to hide my bare feet. I know it does not appeal to people who are part of high society.

I don’t want to provoke, especially after the episode

yesterday’s throne.

Since I manage to reach Samael in a certain way, I will simply do what is asked of me, so I can continue. And it will also avoid the king’s anger, anger that would make my task more difficult. Double benefit, therefore.

I tread the lawn of the castle gardens. They are extensive and well-maintained. It is a very pleasant place, unlike the enclosure of the castle.

Seen from the outside, the castle is magnificent. The architecture is impressively fine, the details are very elaborate.

I see a figure through one of the windows on the second floor. It is Samael. He leans out the window as if to study something... me, of course.

He can’t literally see me but he can observe me in a way. The demon in him knows my aura now. He is able to locate me and observe me. Samael is focused... He reads me. I let him understand what I am, and how much I want to help him.

He is still very suspicious, but I hope he will be less rejective. I will not seek to impose myself on him before the scheduled date. So that he has no reason to hunt me again.

The evening is coming. My meal is still given on a tray, brought to my room. It’s not worse. I can start focusing on tonight’s ritual. And the court people look dismissive, I don’t want negative vibes.

I have to wait until it’s late enough for Samael to be asleep. I get ready like yesterday, then I lie down in my bed.

This time, I imagine myself in the gardens of the castle. Exactly where I was this afternoon, I look at the window where Samael appeared. He is still there. But he won’t let me come near. I have to replace the wolf. I won’t replace it here. I have to walk towards the forest.

I still have my candle, my flowing white dress, and my hair in the wind, I sink into the dense and wild forest. The moon lights up the place, and I hope it will never leave them.

I’m looking for the wolf. I start to whisper my song. I want him to come to me.

I feel that it is not far.

I sing so that he hears my voice and my intention.

I finally see his silhouette approaching slowly.

He does not show aggression. He arrives in front of me and straightens up, he watches me.

Then he leaves, takes a few steps, and turns to look at me. He shows me a direction with his head...

He wants me to follow him?

So I am.

I see him sniffing the ground, stirring piles of leaves, and scratching the dirt, the path he walks doesn’t make much sense.

Is he looking for something?

“What are you looking for big boy?”

He looks at me, and points to me.

“Do you want me to search too?”

But looking for what?

What the hell is he looking for?... I see him continuing to search everywhere...

I have the feeling that he’s been doing this for a very long time...

He looks at me again and barks as if to ask me to help him.

I want to but I do not understand what he is looking for!

I start searching with him stupidly, without knowing what.

It lasts a while and, of course, nothing is found.

“There’s nothing here, you know.

Samael’s subconscious is like... Empty... Since you don’t have access to his person...

Since he doesn’t know what you are.. .”

He’s looking for an entrance? A passage? He’s been a prisoner here forever.

But something tells me that’s not it.

He lets out little grunts. They are not addressed to me.

He’s looking for a threat?

He seeks the curse!

He has always sought to defend Samael, that’s his role... He serves as a bulwark but has no access to the rest.

He cannot reach the evil spell, he is buried in the biology and consciousness of Samael.

“You won’t replace what you’re looking for here... But I’ll help you. I promise.

We’ll get through this together. We’ve got to break the curse, together. Surely that’s the key.”

The wolf looks at me intensely, he understands.

I have to give him access to Samael. I must make Samael aware of the truth, of his existence, and of his role with him.

I try to touch him... His head is close to my hand. But at the last moment, he backs down. He is not ready. Okay.

I have to give him time to understand, and accept my help.

I bow to tell him that I’m leaving, but that I’ll be back.

That there is hope. That I will do everything in my power, so that we succeeds in fulfilling our mission.

He also bows. Then everything around me disappears.
