The King's Omega -
The King’s Omega – Chapter 1
Thiago inherited the throne because he deserved it, he was an alpha who somehow sought peace between the kingdoms, despite the fact that the king of the north was reluctant to do so. If he had to fight for his kingdom he did it without thinking twice, if he had to stop eating so that his people would not go hungry, he would also stop eating to give a bite to those most in need. Without a doubt, he was one of the few kings who have existed so far who has earned the love of people. However, there were still certain things that he did not fully believe, and perhaps one of them was in the trivial stories that were told in the villages.
The great hall was full of people, everyone was in the great castle on Ferdinand Lane. Celebrating a new year. Everyone was there… Even the opposite Kingdom, the Kingdom of the Verlac’s.
—This party is a fraud, I don’t know why I came. Knowing that for many years the Lanes have wanted to kill us for no reason,” the dark-haired man sighed, next to his friend.
— You have to think positive. You know well that these parties only happen once a year and Ferdinand is very difficult to understand.” Derek shrugged his shoulders.
— You’re right about that, although I have to say that his invitation took me by surprise, when I got that letter eight days ago it almost gave me a heart attack.
“You’re incredible, you know that the old man has his sights on you, until he puts an end to the existence of the Verlac’s he won’t stop attacking them,” he smiled sideways. “Here comes Ferdinand,” Derek said, pointing to the brunette’s right.
He just rolled his eyes so that Ferdinand noticed it.
“I’m glad you came, Thiago,” Ferdinand smiled, arrogant as always.
“The truth is that I didn’t want to come, I only did it because Derek convinced me and nothing more,” he shrugged.
—It is very wise of you to accept the invitation I made to you. “I thought you would refuse, just like the other times,” he said in a mocking manner.
“Believe me, I was about to do it, but since I have good manners and I decided to come to replace out what you wanted from me,” he stood up straight to look him in the eyes.
— You already know what about you. I want you to surrender once and for all, that way you will make things easier for me and your defeat wouldn’t be so humiliating.” He looked at him seriously.
— Again with the same thing — Thiago, sarcastic laugh —. I have already told you thousands of times, I am not going to give up just because it comes from your soul to do so. If my father didn’t do it, even less will I do it now that I am the king of my kingdom and my people,” he said, proud of having said that.
“You’re just like your useless father, that’s why I decided to kill him years ago for not doing what I told him to do.” Thiago looked at him furiously.
—He died to defend people from people like you, believe me, I will do it too if necessary. “He would do it a thousand times for my kingdom,” he said sincerely.
— That will take you to the grave, boy, we better do things the right way or everything will go to shit.
— Well, so be it in the name of all the gods, I am not going to give in to you just because you feel like it — he crossed his arms.
“From what I see, I won’t be able to convince you otherwise,” he smiled, mockingly.
— You know that my answer will always be no and that’s it.
— Everyone has a price, you must have it. So tell me and we’ll get this over with.
“I already told him that I’m not going to give up, my father died fighting for his people and I would do it a thousand times,” Thiago smiled toothlessly.
“I give you women, gold, silver, diamonds, castles and unimaginable riches,” said the older alpha, trying to change his mind.
“I already told him no and it’s my last word,” he said determinedly.
—We’ll see, King Verlac. Someday that kingdom will be mine and I myself will be in charge of disappearing his kind forever.” He turned around, leaving Thiago with his heart in his mouth.
“For a moment I thought he was going to pull out his sword to kill you or something,” Derek laughed next to him.
“I thought the same thing too,” he shook his head.
—From now on you should take care of that old man. Starting with the drinks at this party, if I were you I wouldn’t even touch them, they could have poison from any animal —Thiago paid attention.
— That old man thinks that I will give him everything so easily, he is very wrong. “I’m too proud to give him what he wants, just like this,” he sighed.
– You’re more than that. These days I heard talk about a discovery that a man made a few months ago, about a supposed omega woman who walks on the streets,” said the blonde and Thiago looked at him strangely.
— You are crazy if you consider that, women cannot be born omegas, that is impossible. The wise people say that if someone is born like this, it is because he comes to change the luck of someone or something… I don’t know very well about that—he shrugged his shoulders.
“You’re right about that, these days people invent anything just to get attention,” the blonde replied, scratching the back of his neck. What do you think about that?
“That’s a bad joke, no one has ever been born an omega woman, just by saying that, people want to get the attention of others,” he said with a frown.
—I think you’re right, but years ago someone like that was born… according to rumors—Thiago interrupted him.
—But none of that was proven, it was just simple gossip from unskilled people in neighboring cities.
—Have you never wondered what would happen if there were one? —He asked, nervous.
“Well, it’s a curse and nothing more,” he said simply, and Derek sighed.
—I guess it’s best to leave this conversation here. “I have to get out of this place as soon as possible,” said his friend, turning around.
– Where are you going? —He asked confused.
—I just need to get out of here as soon as possible—he left without waiting for a response from Thiago.
He sighed, passing his hands over his face before looking with a frown at the stairs of the house, where two servants could be seen going up with trays of food.
Thiago is just like the cat, his curiosity always gets him into trouble. He saw that no one was paying attention to him and he went around the stairs stealthily until he reached the top of the castle and followed the servants with slow and stealthy steps. He placed himself behind some columns that were strategically in that place, hiding her body. He alone had to wait a few seconds and watch as the servants left there like souls carried by the devil and practically running from that mysterious room.
Thiago approached the famous door from which an exquisite smell of something came out that had no explanation at that moment. He opened both doors and the smell became stronger than he thought, he went deeper slowly and carefully, in case something or someone ready to attack came out of nowhere.
But there was nothing, everything was silent, it was as if no one lived in that room. Everything was in order, the furniture in its place and the bed made.
– Who are you? “He” he jumped when he heard that voice.
He looked towards where the voice was coming from and pressed his body against the nearest wall and for the first time in his life he wanted to disappear because of the fear he was feeling.
There was an omega woman, alive in flesh and b***d. It had to be a joke in poor taste, what she was seeing at that moment, an omega couldn’t exist…
– You won’t say anything? Who are you? She tried to get closer to him, but Thiago stopped her.
—Don’t come near me—if the wall at that moment were passable, he would already be on the other side. For the love of the gods, please don’t do it.
“I’m sorry,” she walked away.
Thiago looked at her from head to toe, she was totally beautiful. Her eyes were light green, her gaze showed a unique innocence, her hair was curly in every aspect.
– What are you? —She asked, after a few minutes of silence.
“I’m an omega,” the girl whispered as if she were the most obvious thing of all.
—That’s impossible—she pressed herself closer to the wall.
—It’s true, I’m the only one of my kind. I’m sorry if she doesn’t believe me, I’m not to blame for that,” she said hurt.
“You’re a curse, I’m getting out of here.” He turned around to leave.
The little omega, seeing that she was the only person in that place, for the first time had spoken to her, she was leaving, without meaning to, her eyes filled with tears and she let out her first sob.
“I’m weird, I’m disgusting, no one loves me, I’m a curse,” she saw her cursing herself. “He always tells me that,” she said through tears.
Thiago beat himself up internally again and again because of the situation and the stupid words he had said. F**k everything. He approached the omega if she was slapping her legs with both hands and cursing herself for being like that.
The little omega felt arms around her and let out a gasp of surprise at that, she didn’t think twice and reciprocated the hug he was giving her. She surrounded the brunette with both hands, feeling for the first time in her life that unique value, that something that no one had wanted to give her just for being who she is. An omega. Thiago couldn’t explain what he was doing, people said that when an omega is close to you many things can happen. Like, for example, contracting a disease.
– What’s your name? —She asked after a few seconds of silence.
“Dayana,” she murmured, sniffing.
“Nice name, Dayana,” he smiled, turning away from her.
“No, no, keep it up,” she hugged him again.
—I don’t know what I’m doing, they say that if I’m close to an omega I could get a curse.
— That’s a lie, they say that only so that no one comes closer. They had never spoken to me, you are the first to do so—now it was Dayana who separated from him.
“I feel somewhat flattered by that, little one,” the alpha smiled delightedly. You are beautiful.
“Thank you, my father says I look like my mother,” Dayana murmured, and the alpha remained silent for a moment. You’re scared of me? You want to kill me?
“No, I don’t want to do that,” he clicked his tongue.
Thiago smiled sideways and out of inertia he brought one of her hands to Dayana’s cheek, who closed her eyes and directed her face towards where his hand was.
—I have to go, Dayana. If I last any longer, they’re going to start looking for me here and we don’t want them to replace us here.” He separated from the omega.
“It’s okay, thank you for being with me and not criticizing me anymore,” she smiled sideways.
The oldest got up from the floor and Dayana stayed in the same place she was.
— Thank you… Can I know your name? —She asked shyly.
“Thiago Verlac,” with that, she left the room.
Dayana stayed on the ground smiling like an idiot.
