The Last Royal Luna
(Book 3) – Epilogue 2

Six Years Later:

“This has been the best themed birthday party to date, my love.” Edgar gushed as he kissed my temple. “The twins look so stinking adorable in their costumes.” I knew he was trying to distract me from my own thoughts.

I had to agree. We all looked good though in our family themed costumes. We all voted, and the twins and I won with our idea of Pokémon themed. I let the kids chose the Pokémon each of the guys wore.

“So, are you sure you are done giving us babies?” Koda asked innocently. “I need enough for a football team.” After last night this baby factory was closed.

“Listen you guys have our 7-year-old twins, a five year old sassy daughter, a three year old boy who I still think is part monkey with his climbing adventures, and our youngest set of twins being under a year old.” I replied giving him an annoyed stare. “I need a several years break from pregnancy if not for good. We have plenty of family and friends who will lend you their babies if you need a snuggle or to change a new poopy diaper.”

He just kissed me gently on the lips and went running to the bounce house were the kids were going crazy. The twins were best friends with Mel’s daughter and Sandra’s son so they were always attached at the h*p. Since it was their birthday party even more of their crew showed up. Rogers adopted daughter and his first born who came as a surprise are both in their group and when they are all together they are trouble.

I looked over the tables full of friends, family, and loved ones. I loved every minute of having everyone here and I know my birth parents would of loved it too. I have learned so much about them since the war from the people, the books, and the earth. They were great leaders including my mothers other mates. The people loved them so I respected how they ran things. I only changed a few laws and rules which made me seem like a hard a*s to a lot of the shady leaders but it didn’t take long for me to get them out of their positions.

Mel walked up to us and pushed the guys away. “I need time with my bestie. Go help our hellions stay out of trouble.” She pointed out her daughter and her 4 year old son running from Alistair. “Poor guy needs some help. This pregnant lady can’t do it.”

They both stuck their tongues out, checked on me one last time, and headed down to make fun of Alistair. We all knew they weren’t about to help. They had been the ones chasing their kids early trying to get their butts dressed.

“Ok, now that the peanut gallery is gone. How are you feeling?” Mel turned toward me and scanned me over. “I want to march into that prison and kick that girls a*s. Why would she turn on all of us after everything you and your family had done for her? She is lucky my kids decided to sleep at home last night or I would have ripped her throat out.”

“I honesty don’t know.” I shook my head fighting the tears that wanted to make an appearance. “My parents loved her and her sister like they are their own. I thought of her as my sister in all ways. I kept my promise of not hurting their mother. I turned her rogue even against my better judgement.”

“I know! It has to do with the prophecy, doesn’t it?” Mel asked worriedly. Her eyes now trained on her daughter. “Who helped her?”

“Greg and his wife did along with her mother.” I growled clinching my fists to keep from going crazy. “His wife is in a cell next to Dollys.”

“Why not Greg? Tell me he is here somewhere so I can get this anger out. I have a new spell I have been working on.” Mel was pissed which is an emotion I can handle. Scared or Worried Mel was not something I could deal with right now. “And her s**t mom is where?”

“That useless piece of s**t is dead.” Jared stated calmly as he joined our conversation. “Ryder ripped his throat out and No, Heath isn’t mad about it. Greg put the kids safety at risk and was helping Dolly to take one of the twins.”

“Her mother tried to run leaving everyone else to deal with the fall out like a true coward.” Blue was pissed she wasn’t the one to catch up to her. “My mom and Blake caught up with her. She didn’t make it out alive.”

Dolly. My adult adopted sister. Her little sister Tracy bargained for their safety when telling me the truth about what Mel was planning when I first took over Olivers pack. We took them in and they became Trixie’s big sisters. I just can’t believe she would take her mother’s word over ours. It felt like she had ripped my heart out and stomped on it.

“How is your family taking it?” Mel asked. I pointed out Trixie and Tracy sitting at one of the tables farthest away from everyone.

“Tracy is devastated and thinks we will hate her because of what her sister and mother did. I could never. She is one of the most selfless and sweet kids I know.” And cue the tears. “Trixie hates what her sister did but is also hoping we won’t kill her. She is so innocent and loyal. It will hurt them both when she dies but I can’t let this go. She turned her back on her family, pack, and especially me…me, Mel. She turned on me because her mother told her lies.” I cried out.

Jared gathered me in his arms and held me. He knew the heartache I was dealing with. It is hard when a loved one turns on you and leaves you out in the cold. His chosen mate of the past 4 years did just that six months ago. I may have beaten the s**t out of her petty a*s.

“So, what now? This prophecy can’t happen.” Mel pleaded. Alistair walked up holding their youngest and hugged him to her. “My baby.”

“I know!” I yelled in frustration. “I know it can’t happen. It effects two of my kids and the rest of us. No one is f*****g taking my kids. Id kill everyone who even looked at them funny if I could. Don’t you see, Mel, I am doing my best to hold it together and not run to those cells to watch someone I called sister die from my hands? I am broken. I am trying. I am failing. Please just stop. Please.”

I broke. I fell out of Jared’s arms to the ground. “My own sister dressed as a horned monster like in the prophecy and tried to steal my baby with her real mom and Greg who had damned me since Kailey was killed. This is all my fault and I am trying to fix it.” I wailed, bringing attention to us. My guys came running. “Someone had my child in their arms and tried to make a run for it. I could of lost them. I could have…”

Koda got to me first falling to his knees in front of me. “It is not your fault. No one will hurt this family.”

The rest made it to me plopping in a circle around me and just touching any part of me they could reach until Trixie and Tracy ran up. They pushed past them and wrapped me in their arms.

“We love you.” Trixie whispered as her tears hit my shoulders.

“My sister is a stupid b***h. She will die for her crimes, and I will not regret it.” Tracy told me. “My mother is a piece of s**t and should die slowly. Please make it hurt like she used to hurt us.”

I just nodded knowing my guys were probably already taking care of it. I couldn’t handle any more family or friends b***d on me. They knew it.

Soon we heard little footsteps. My babies ran over to help make mommy feel better and it fixed one of the cracks in my heart. I will always have them just like they will always have me.

‘Moon Goddess, if someone hurts my babies, I will start a never-ending war to make them pay. I promise you this.’ Blue agreed with me sending up a howl that everyone in the pack responded with. It showed my babies were protected. Now to just keep doing better about their safety.

I stepped back from everyone and shifted. So did my mates. We got the kids loaded on our backs and took them for a run around the party.

I had the twins on me and Blue was loving it. ‘You are always safe with us. No one will harm you or take you on my watch, my loves.’

‘We know mommy.’
