Chapter 50

I decided to lay in bed one more day to help heal faster and I think it helped the guys relax a bit instead of being right up my butt. They split up when they went to training so I had at least one of them with me at all times. I know they wanted to discuss the twins but I just didn’t have it in me. I was scared of rejection, hurt that they couldn’t see that they would be just as important as the rest, and pissed that they couldn’t talk to me about it but ran to their daddy. I did mind link Jared to see if they were ok because I just care too much. I made sure to tell him I understood that he didn’t want to be in the middle and he would always chose his sons in any situation, no questions. I just wanted to actual give it a chance before they tucked tails and ran. He agreed and said they would be here for our date this evening to do just that. That perked up Blue’s ears but not enough to do a happy dance like with her other mates.

I was sitting with Sandra and Blake in the kitchen going over all the pack members and what everyone’s strength is. Some have more muscle, some are better with stealth, and some are better their wolves. Using all of that to our advantage we are working on plan to win our lands back. This same plan of war can be used with more other packs. I was still working on a way to get most of the witches and vampires in one area so we can take them out in one swoop. I just had to hope that the packs would band together to erase these parasites.

“So I heard your going on a date tonight with all your mates. Isn’t this a first for any of them?” Sandra chuckled trying to get a reaction out of me. I grinned and blushed a little.

“Yea. It really is a first date for all of us. I am excited but nervous. I just need to know where we are going so I can dress correctly…” I looked at Blake and he motioned with his hands that his lips were sealed. Jerk face. I just shook my head at him and stuck my tongue out.

“Careful girl. He might take that as a challenge, and I don’t want to see any of that.” She winked at me and made me blush redder. How I can still be like this when we have seen each other naked and mated. “Anyways I think I am going to head out to finish packing up the cabin. I am excited to see all your stuff out of here so I can move in. I may need to sanitize everything.” She shook her body like she was disgusted and I pushed her shoulder laughing at her.

Andrew and Asher finally show up when I’m walking out of the bedroom dressed and ready for my surprise. I’m pretty sure they can feel how I’m feeling through the bonds and I hated that to them. I wasn’t questioning their love or my love for them. The relationship what the bullying in and everything else but between the bond, their actions to help me forgive them, and actually getting to know them as a person I’ve fallen head over heels and love. I hope that one day that I can show it fully to them and not have my brain in so many different directions along with my heart.

“So does this outfit work for our date?” I asked them as I did a twirl. I went with dinner casual because I was a little lost in the fashion department to start with. Normally give me skinny jeans or leggings with a big shirt and converse. Tonight I went with a spaghetti strap dress with green lingerie underneath. I picked out some heels and put some flats in my purse so I could switch them out when my feet start to scream at me.

“You look amazing. I think I should persuade you to stay in here with me for the night. I can order dinner up…” Andrew winked as he stepped closer making my body shiver. I hit him and shook my head no before walking over to Blake and grabbing his hand to head out.

They walk me outside to the patio and I can see all the hard work they put in. They had put up twinkling lights around the top of the whole patio and had the table decorated looking so cute. They decorated where I was going to sit with roses, a cute teddy bear, and it looked like a huge a*s chocolate wolf. I couldn’t want to dig into that and I could feel some drool happening. I wiped it away as quick as I could but I saw Asher’s smirk.

“You guys did all this for me?” I couldn’t believe they did all this for me.

“Of course. It’s our first date together even if we are inviting two of your mates we don’t know that well but that’s half the reason for this date. They’re part of this family and we should know each other. It’s our family’s first date and we wanted to show you that you mean so much to us. The twins helped out as well. Apparently, they’ve taken some cooking lessons from some of the chefs that have worked at the palace and they made dinner.” Asher stated as he took in my expressions which were the ones he wanted so he relaxed.

I looked over a Blake with a face of surprise because most men really don’t care about learning how to cook. “Don’t look so surprised that men cook too. I told them if dinner was good I would love to learn how to do it so everybody can take turns making food once our family is complete.” Blake whispered as he kissed my cheek. I felt tears in my eyes so I definitely felt like a sap. I enjoyed cooking but it was going to be great and I’ll have to every meal every day for everybody.

The twins ended up making salad, steak, mashed potatoes, and shrimp for dinner. It was perfection and it made me fall for them a bit more. It was awkward at first and I have no idea what to say. I hated this feeling of not knowing how or what to say so I avoided all situations like this in the past. Eventually Blake broke the silence by asking the twins what they did at the palace and some of their favorite past times. They explained the training and the safety plans they had in place. It made me wonder how good they would be at strategic war plans. We needed someone on that front since none of us really dealt with anything like that. The boys did on a small scale but nothing like we needed. There were way more wolves at the palace so they probably have done it before.

“Ryder… Ryder…” Blake is saying my name over and over trying to get my attention.

“What?” I looked around at the guys and they seemed worried. “Oh, sorry. I was just wondering if Knox and Kane were any good at strategic war plans. I was going over things with Sandra today but netither of us have the best skill for it.” The twins grinned, sat back in their chair, and crossed their arms.

“Well, to tell the truth..” Kane starts before looking at Knox.

“We are decent at it. It helps that there are move wolves at and around the palace that in most packs. We have had to defend the palace several times and have perfected a few plans. Why do you ask?” Knox looks smug as he asks this. They know what I will ask them so it made me want to rebel against the idea but it was the best lead we had on winning.

“We need plans, we need to train, we need more wolves, and we need to get it done soon. If you guys stay on here I would love to have you help in the war planning and the training. Even if you don’t and you go back can you send some of your plans to use as an example?” I looked at the space between them so I don’t have to see how they feel.

“Ryder. We have messed this whole thing up and we are sorry. There is no excuse for anything we have done. We should of ran to you and held you before anything else. We should have been their when you woke up. We should be on our knees begging for you to love us but instead we ran. I am so sorry. I want to make this right. I want to stay. I told Kane he didn’t have to but I was staying with my mate no matter what.” Knox pleads and it made me feel so much better but I couldn’t keep them apart. They are twins and grew up working together on everything. Before I could say that Kane leans forward to speak.

“I am not going anywhere. I want you, Ryder. I fought it because of the shock and the stress of having to fight for your attention with all your mates. I have issues and I am working on them constantly. I want forgiveness and a chance to show my love.” Kane is staring straight in my eyes like he is seeing my soul and I know he is telling the truth.

“I want you both to stay. I need time to forgive you but I need you for more than the powers and strength I get when we mate. I need you because since the first time I saw you I knew you both were going to fill some of this whole in my heart. Your scent comforts me and I hate when it is gone.”

The twins get up and walk around the table to pull me from my chair. They make a twin sandwich with me in the middle and I break down. Tears flooded my eyes and I just held on as the sobs started. I sniffed them getting the feeling of comfort and warmth.

“Ryder, can we stay and fix things to become your mate?” The twins asked together. I just nodded before looking at them waiting for a k**s. Kane kissed me softly on the lips before coming back for seconds. Knox kissed me like I was the last chocolate bar in the store and he needed that chocolate fix.

“Sorry to break this up but we have a surprise for you, Ryder. We would love for the twins to join us since it affects all of us.” Andrew stood and reached out for my hand. I grabbed it and brought the twins with me to follow Asher and Blake out into the woods.
