The Last Royal Luna
Chapter 64

“I am sorry I didn’t discuss it with you beforehand. I didn’t know how you would react and either way you needed to be protected.” Knox stated as if that made it all better.

“So next time I think any of you need back up I should just show up with a few of the others and follow you without talking to you about it?”

“What? No. We can take care of ourselves!” Kane boasts before realizing what he said. He looked at the ground in regret. Dumbass.

“Anyone else want to put their foot up their a*s?” I smirk waiting to hear anyone else defending their stupid actions.

“Well in our defense would you of even said yes to us going to help watch out for you?” Blake asked nervously.

“How about asking if we could all go and watch EACH OTHERS’ BACKS!? You guys are just as much of a target since hurting you would be hurting me. I would of said hell ya. Or even discussing it as another way to spend more time together!” I yelled. I needed to let go of this anger. I know I overreacted a bit but if this is how they think then things would get worse over time. “I need communication at all times because it’s the only way a healthy relationship can work. Now I have things to do and maybe later we can pick this back up.” I blow them a k**s and walk out.

“RYDER! WAIT! We love you! We want to fix this. I am dying here with this between us. Tell us how to fix it.” Asher yells at my back. I stop and turn my head back toward them.

“I hate this, too. I also hate not being trusted to take care of myself like I have done before we were mates. I trust you guys to do what you need to do to clear you head and I don’t go behind your backs. I need the same respect and trust. Just because I have a v****a doesn’t make me any weaker than any of you.” I shed a tear but wipe it off before heading out the door.

Julian, Alistair, and I walk up to Melanie’s family house and I shudder from the dark vibe it is giving off. I bet they were a part of whatever Oliver had planned and it was just as dark as he was. I reached into my pocket for my hand disinfectant and made sure it looked full. I was not getting a disease from psycho bitches who were pains in my a*s.

“What is that?” Julian asks as he points to the bottle I am looking at.

“My germ disinfectant. I am not going home with any type of disease this place probably has!” I put the bottle back in my pocket and ignore their snickers. “Who as the key?”

“We couldn’t replace it on them anywhere. So we can either search under mats, rocks, and such or break down the door.” Alistair mentions. I feel as though he is leaning toward breaking the door and to be honest so am I.

I walk up the stairs and look around for a minute. I wanted to be able to say I looked for a key before we broke in. I figured that was the nice thing to do, right? I didn’t see any and neither did the Betas so I took a step back from the door and kicked it right under the lock. I heard it break and the door swung backwards opening for us. I just smiled before walking inside. It didn’t take long for the others to join me.

“I will cover the rooms on the left side, Julian the right side, and Alistair upstairs. When we finish shout out and we will help who ever is still looking. Be careful we don’t know if they planned on getting caught. I think I smelt a whiff of wolves bane when walking up to the house.” They nod in agreement and head out to start looking.

I went left into what looked like a big dining room with everything in its place and nothing looks short of perfect. I bet they never even ate in here. The table was big enough for 12 people but only three lived in the house. I searched the China cabinet but the only thing I found was layers of dust. My grandma hides her secret recipes there so it was worth a shot. There ended up being nothing in the dining room, hallway, and bathroom. Next was an office that had papers thrown everywhere. I would bet money there was something in this room but it was going to take forever!

‘Hey the office down here looks like it has been tossed or whoever uses it just throws everything around. I think we need to box it all up and take it back to the house to slowly look through it all. What do you think?’ I linked Julian and Alistair.

‘The master bedroom is the same with papers everyone. I think we should do it to all rooms here and once it is all boxed up and gone we can search for anything hidden.’ Alistair responded with a huff. I agreed this was turning out to be tedious.

‘Ok I linked a few trusted warriors for boxes. This may be a few day project.’ Julian stated as he walked to the door to wait for the boxes for us. ‘I am done here. The living room and day room had nothing of important. I am done. They do have a basement here but the lights aren’t working down there and I don’t have a flashlight. I have one on the way.’

‘Yea. If you trust these warriors let’s put them on guard duty on this house and any of the other houses that don’t get done today. I have plans later but I could reschedule.’ I think they could hear the disappointment in my voice. I was not ready to hear the how my friends would feel about me canceling and even though I hated shopping I missed them like I missed a heart beat.

‘Nope. You deserve time to yourself and your friends. We will get this figured out. Let’s call in Sandra and her mate. I bet she is over the meetings for the day.’ Julian linked before linking her. ‘She is headed here and her mate is finishing up training before heading

here. This will get done today.’

Thank goodness. I was already over it. While waiting I started to sort the papers into piles categories called trash, who knows, and oh my god they are horrible people. Most of it was trash but I found a few that went in the who knows pile. It wasn’t a bill, but it was something to do with money. I tried to follow that trail of paperwork since it seemed to stick to that pile. One was a bill for $10,000 for a small piece of land that was attached to the corner of our lands here. Underneath it was a paper with an odd account number and the names of all the fathers of the three girls who started all this. s**t.

‘I found something. I found who has been stealing the money from the pack and where it has went! It didn’t just start recently either! I found a few things they spent the money on and it is disgusting!’ I linked everyone who was helping search the houses. I am sure whoever was with my mother and father currently would tell them what I said.

Julian and Alistair rush into the office and each grab the papers I am holding out. It takes them a moment before their faces are just as shock as mine. Julian just keeps repeating how and Alistair is making faces like he wants to puke after reading some of the things that were bought with pack funds.

‘ Who is it? You are killing me with suspense. We still looking here. We are packing up some papers and taking them to the house to search through. I love you and I am sorry.’ Andrew links back.
