The Luna Destiny -
The Start of The End
In the teleport lab, Roisin lost her balance and fell to the floor as she vomited and fell unconscious.
"Get a medic dammit!" Atlas yelled across the room, Dex teleported in seconds after, and ran over to Roisin.
"Is she okay? Roisin!" Dex panicked, Lotte pulled Dex back softly as medics ran over and lifted her onto a stretcher.
"No! I can't lose her!" Atlas punched the wall. Lotte looked over sadly, as she comforted Dex, who was in tears. Atlas took a deep breath, to regain his composure, he turned to the technician. "What happened?" He asked.
"I honestly do not know" The technician shrugged. "We had no signal, it would have been actually impossible to teleport her here after we lost the signal" He added. Atlas nodded, and kept taking deep breaths to stay calm.
"So, we're talking so kind of signal interruption, she was perhaps snatched?" Atlas asked.
"That would explain it, but these are the only functioning teleporters on the whole of Crystalla. I suppose we cannot discredit the theory that there is a third one, but it would have needed to be compatible with our specific device" The technician explained, Amber suddenly teleported in, giving everyone a small jump.
"Sorry for barging in" Amber bowed before stepping off the teleporter pad. "I believe I have a theory on what exactly happened and where Roisin went" She announced.
"What is it?" Atlas asked, as Lotte took his hand. Atlas looked down at Lotte, who was sitting with Dex and smiled.
"Well, the teleporter works by sending a signal via the ethereal realms, such as the Underworld and the Dreamworld. Usually this is not a problem, however, it seems someone my have grabbed her from the datastream, then placed her back inside it. What happened in between is anyone's guess" Amber explained.
"I guess we will replace out more when she wakes up" Dex sighed, as he wiped away the tears. Atlas nodded and smiled, then looked around the room.
"I apologize for losing my temper..." He bowed his head.
"It's very understandable, Mr Luna. Think nothing of it" The technician smiled, and the second one nodded too.
"Thank you, I'll get you a drink at the bar tonight, both of you" Atlas smiled, they nodded and resumed working.
"We'll need to put out a statement..." Dex sighed, as he started to stand.
"I left Ariel and Ashe to handle that, don't worry, Dex, just focus on Roisin" Lotte comforted Dex.
Dex nodded and smiled, as he looked at the teleporter.
"I wonder who got to her?" He asked.
"I'll replace out..." Atlas sighed. As he pondered something to himself, the whirring of the laboratories fans filled the silent room, as the sun began to set over Ishtall.
