The Luna's Hidden Destiny
The Luna’s Hidden Destiny(Book 2) – Chapter 22

(Blake pov)

I tugged Lottie behind me as we exited the elevator and headed toward Rowan and Mila’s room. Apparently, they rented out the whole damn floor to themselves and filled a couple of the rooms up with guards.

I can’t blame Rowan for always being so protective over Mila, especially after everything that happened with Marcus..but honestly, this was pretty tame compared to what he would’ve done in the past. Before he probably would have locked her in the room with eight guards outside. Even last night at that amazingly fun dinner we had, he didn’t whisk her away after he learned what happened with Chloe. We actually sat down to resume eating..but then that stupidly handsome Alpha had to act all creepy and s**t. I admit..I might have been charmed by him before, but I swear he didn’t do all this top Alpha s**t the few times we met up. He was actually respectful and even somewhat funny. It’s almost like he was two completely different people…still handsome both times though. I’m not afraid to admit it..I call it like I see it.

But now with the f*****g Chloe bombshell and the power trip I feel like I jumped the gun. This guy was a complete douchebag and now he owns a share of the company..yay for me..why do I feel like I’m about to walk in this room and get my a*s beat by Tristan and Rowan..possibly Mila too for the Chloe thing..oh goddess..I’m f****d.

“Calm down Teddy Bear, you’re stressing me out.” Lottie shot me a glare from the corner of her eye and my shoulders sunk.

“Just don’t let Tristan get the last blow..he doesn’t deserve it.” I sighed before nodding to John and Dan who stood outside the room’s double doors.

“Shut up, no one is going to beat you up..well I might if you don’t stop stressing me out.” Lottie growled playfully, nipping at my earlobe as that one action made me feel a fraction better already.

Before I could turn and wrap her in my arms, the door swung open with Tristan on the other side, looking at us with one of his signature bored expressions.

“You’re late.” He said cooly before turning on his heel and walking into the room. It was hard not to stare at the fresh mark smack dab on his neck. His scent changed too, mixing with Sadie’s and I couldn’t help but run up to him and wrap my arm around his shoulders.

“Look at you, all glowing and s**t. You smell much better too..and your hair, is it shinier?” I teased, bracing myself for the abuse I knew I deserved.

“How have I not killed you all this time?” He asked himself, but I couldn’t help and notice a hint of a smile on the corner of his lips and I swear I almost blacked out from shock.

“Damn, getting a mate might just be the best thing that..” Before I could even finish, the punch in the gut I should have expected landed hard, making me double over as I g*****d out.

“We are ready to begin.” Tristan announced, walking into the room as he stood next to a glowing Sadie. I can’t lie, she was unbelievably beautiful in that untamed kind of way. Beautiful but completely deadly..let’s just say I’m glad she is on our side.

“Good morning, did you guys sleep well?” Mila asked sweetly, bringing over a tray of coffee with some pastries. A girl after my own heart..

“Like a baby..whatever alcohol they served at that dinner was f*****g legit.” I beamed, reaching for a cheese Danish as Lottie glared at me.

“Must of been nice…I had to put up with your snoring all night..and nothing would wake you..nothing.” She smacked my hand, taking the Danish before I could, and bit it aggressively. Whoops..

“Awe, Angel, I will make it up to you later.” I leaned in, placing a soft peck on her lips and making her smile. Before pulling back fully I stealthily turned my head and stole a bite of MY Danish, causing her to snatch it away and glare at me once again while I chewed happily and completely unbothered by her threatening gaze.

I glanced over towards Tristan, expecting him to be stone-faced and fuming but what I saw almost made me fall back. He was kissing Sadie on the neck softly and seemed to be linking her with something that was making her red in the face. Who was this guy?!

Suddenly Rowan cleared his throat, drawing everyone’s attention as he stepped behind Mila who was sitting on the couch, and placed his hands on her shoulders possessively.

“So, the reason I asked you all to come here is because Mila has brought something to my attention that we all should be aware of.” Rowan began, making Tristan and Sadie stand more alert. They are warriors through and through..that is for sure.

“While at the dinner, Mila felt a…familiarity between Alpha Ozzy and someone we have met before.” Rowan definitely knew how to build the suspense..and I thought that was my wheelhouse.

“She mentioned to me that he felt similar to the deceased man who once called himself the rogue king.” My eyes darted to Mila who nodded her head slightly. I could see Alpha Ozzy really made her uncomfortable. But she felt a familiarity with the two?

Personally, it’s hard to see..the previous Rogue kind was big, yeah, but he was psychotic and completely unhinged. Not to mention the stench and unkempt appearance..definitely hard to replace similarities.

“Do you think it’s a possibility?” Tristan suddenly blurted, making me confused. Maybe I blanked and missed a part of the conversation.

“That’s what we need to replace out.” Rowan responded making me sit up straighter now and try to connect the dots I was missing.

Then it all flashed through my mind..the rogue king..he had a brother.

“No f*****g way..what are the chances?” I blurted, realizing where this was all going.

“Pretty damn high if he has been staking out Black Stone like the rumors said.” Tristan stated, making me feel even worse about all of this.

“Blake, do you have his file of personal information on your phone?” Rowan inquired, making me nod my head as I pulled my phone out of my pocket and went to search through it.

“Also, when you met with the Alpha previously, did he behave differently than he is now?” Rowan asked curiously, making me nod my head once more.

“This Alpha aura bullshit is new..that’s for sure. I mean yeah he had it before slightly but the way he waves it around now is completely different. Plus that Chloe shit..that’s definitely new.” I confirmed, locating the file on my phone and opening it before sending it to both Rowan and Tristan.

They grabbed their phones and read through it before Tristan let out a scoff, breaking the silence.

“It’s the tech school right?” Lottie asked, glancing up from my phone as looked at Tristan.

“Yeah, they didn’t have that degree options those years he claims to have gone to school there, right Lottie?” Tristan turned off his phone and gave his full attention to my mate. Lottie was a tech wiz, she did it more for a hobby but was up to date with everything involving that world.

“Yeah, it has only been a major for the past four years.” She confirmed..making me proud as I squeezed her thighs lovingly.

“So he faked it?” Mila asked, glancing at Rowan as I could see his patience wearing thin.

“I don’t think that’s all he faked..we need to get a b***d sample before he leaves.” Rowan barked, making Tristan and I exchange glances.

“How the hell can we do that? It’s not exactly in the contract for combining companies.” I grumbled, making Lottie elbow me in the side.

We all went quiet for a moment, debating how we could do this as Mila looked down at her hand and flexed her fist. Reminding me of how she punched Chloe’s face..that was so f*****g amazing.

Then it hit me…I came up with the perfect idea.

“What if..someone gets in a fight with him. Makes him bleed a little.” I offered, glancing around the room as they seemed to think about my offer.

“That could work, but it also might make things awkward. If he thinks we are catching on, he could run.” Rowan was right..if it was Rowan or one of us, it would seem suspicious because we haven’t fought him this far and he was pretty hostile already and we didn’t act.

“I know someone who has a short temper..someone who perhaps has beef with the guy’s Luna..” I smirked wildly, knowing the perfect person who could do this without looking suspicious because let’s face it..he is a little unhinged already.

“Finn..you know he is itching for a fight.” I said the name, watching as the realization settled on everyone’s faces.

“Will he do it?” Lottie asked, and I kid you not..Rowan, Tristan, and I all spoke the same thing at the same exact time.

“Oh, he’ll do it.” The words echoed through the room and now we had a plan..one that was essentially foolproof…well, I hope so anyways.
