After seeing Mila handle the Chloe situation with class and pure f*****g dignity…I couldn’t wait to get on with the ceremony. The way she spoke with a clear mind and heart awed me. She was something else…

I walked onto the stage with my Beta and Gamma close by as I looked out into the crowd. Everyone was here..they all looked up at us with anticipation as excitement filled the air. My dad was the one who was going to be officiating the ceremony. I looked across the stage and saw Mila’s newfound family standing on the side. Alpha Nathan nodded towards me, his emotions running high as the events from the past few days were finally settling in, not only did he replace his daughter but now she was becoming Luna of another pack.

In the middle of the stage was a wooden table with the golden chalice and sacred Black Stone dagger. We actually did pack joining ceremonies every few months, but they were never this big and usually only involved the participant’s family and a couple of witnesses.

“Son, would you like to make the introduction?” My dad asked, patting me on the back as my grandpa stood next to him with his arm around my mom who was close to losing it any minute. Her brother and a few relatives were able to make it as well, since they were coming to the luncheon beforehand.

I took the microphone and inhaled a deep steadying breath..why the hell was I so nervous?

I stepped onto the middle of the stage and addressed everyone with a tight smile and nod of my head.

“Welcome everyone, we are so grateful that you all could make it. I know this has been a bit of a surprise and is happening much faster than my mother would have liked.” I joked, glancing towards my mom who scowled, causing the audience to laugh softly. They knew what kind of Luna she was and how much effort and planning she put into our events.

“But as most of you know, my Mate Mila has been with us for about a month now. We wanted to make this ceremony special but honestly…it will be either way. This is all we need..our pack members and the love and support of those that matter most. That’s really all that matters to Black Stone, the well-being of each and every one of you. That is why we need our Luna, we need her to make us even stronger and to complete this pack so we can thrive and reach our fullest potential. That is why we needed all of you here..so thank you again for being so welcoming to my Luna. It truly means the world to me.” I expressed, meeting the gaze of as many pack members as I could. This was all that mattered..the safety of not only my mate..but our pack as well. They didn’t need to know of the threat of Marcus right now..I didn’t want to sour the mood. This was about my Luna..about my gorgeous mate and her making Black Stone complete.

People in the crowd began to cheer, my words touching them deeply as they all began to clap.

“To our Luna!” One member shouted, causing more to join in. I felt pride welling up in my chest, the way my pack has accepted Mila so openly and so blindly is just beyond anything I could have hoped.

It’s like I was always waiting for this moment to arrive..this one moment where my life would finally be whole..my sweet amazing Mila was the missing piece all along.

My dad walked up, patting my back gently with my Grandpa by his side. The crowd clapped even louder..there were some members still around from when my grandpa was Alpha. He was always well-loved and admired by our community.

I handed my dad the microphone, knowing Mila would be stepping on the stage any moment and the thought was enough to render me speechless. I knew once I saw her that was all there would be..the rest of the world would simply be background noise. It always was since the moment she arrived…

Suddenly my dad spoke up, announcing my Luna’s presence.

“Please, let’s welcome our Luna, the future Mila Scott.” He projected, my last name echoing through the speakers causing my heart to race. I lifted my head, meeting my mate’s emerald green eyes. My mate..my gorgeous mate..she was indeed the future Mrs. Scott.

Mila looked like a goddess..her dress fit her perfectly as it draped down to the floor. The white glowed against the stage lights, causing an ethereal aura to surround her. I swear a collective gasp filled the large room as she walked out. A soft nervous smile pulled at her lips. I couldn’t stop my feet from moving, my hands reaching out as I rushed for her. I pulled her against my body, kissing her so deeply I felt like I could cry just from the sight of her. What the hell did this girl do to me? I haven’t cried this much in my whole life…

My dad chuckled into the microphone, causing everyone else to grin widely as they watched me embrace my mate so intimately. After pulling away, I couldn’t take my eyes off of her, my dad had to lead us towards the table with the chalice and dagger. These items have been in the family for generations. They were what started this pack and are what continue to make it grow and evolve.

“Let us proceed with the ceremony. Thank you all again for coming. We would like to invite the families to stand beside our Alpha and Luna during this part please.” I heard him say and saw him motioning to people from the corner of my eye.

I gripped Mila’s hand tighly in my own, bringing it up to my lips as I kissed her warm skin tenderly.

‘I love you so much.’

I gasped into our link. Seeing her in white and feeling all of our pack member’s support made me swell with emotion.

‘I love you too Rowan, you are my everything.’

She breathed, her lips parting slightly as my dad suddenly gripped our hands, confusing me as I broke eye contact with her for the first time since she walked out on the stage.

“It’s time son, we will swear Mila in and cut your palms and join you as one.” He whispered, making my head nod as I looked back towards my mate..this was it..this is the moment we will be joined in every way possible. Our bond will be complete and there will be nothing that can break us apart…absolutely nothing.
