The Lycan King’s Breeder Chapter 10

Talon's

POV

"They won't stand a chance against us! All we have to do now is attack them before they know what hit them!" Murmurs of agreement echoed around the room.

"I object!" Another member of my pack interjected, "A pack of rogues working and slaughtering packs together is not a matter to joke with. We can't go in there blind, we're werewolves, not barbarians!"

"But this is the perfect opportunity to wipe them all out. Everyone here agrees with me. We have to take them out before they take us out." The man from earlier, an older werewolf, argued. "But they have children. They have innocent wives we do not wish to harm-"

"Speak for yourself!" The older werewolf interjected. "Have you forgotten what those monsters did to us when they raided our village? Our pack? I say we attack and slaughter everyone. Every last one of them... Rape their mates and enslave their children!" The whole room erupted in cheers, slamming their fists on the table in support of the man.

"But that is cruel!" The booming voice that belonged to the leader of the patrol guards interjected harshly, cutting short their little celebration. "We're not monsters! Those children are innocent... And the same goes for the women and the maids. We do not fight just to kill innocent people. We fight when we have to when it is necessary." The entire room grew dead silent at the aggressive speech.

The silence was suddenly broken by the menacing laughter of the older werewolf. He cackled uncontrollably and only stopped once he was ready to talk.

"Your foolishness exudes my expectation. You say you do not fight to kill innocent people... But those monsters came in here to kill the innocent. They slaughtered my mate. They slaughtered my children." He spat bitterly, veins bulging out of his forehead. "Have you forgotten how they killed our Alpha? Those people took away everything that made my life worth living. They deserve every evil thing we bring to them." At this, the entire room hollered and agreed once more.

At this point, I had watched them argue for hours and said absolutely nothing. I watched as the older werewolf from earlier gestured around and spoke erratically, but I zoned him out, I zoned them all out. I couldn't concentrate no matter how hard I tried. Before calling for this meeting, I had sent out my Beta to the pesky humans. Word had gotten to us of a man wanting to sell out his daughter for whatever reason. Willow had concluded that this was the perfect opportunity before I even had anything to say about the matter.

I didn't know what would make a man sell his only daughter out, but I really didn't care. Humans disgusted me, they were selfish little creatures, weak little worms who had no place here. Their weakness disgusted me.

I was sure at this time of day that Greg would have arrived with the human girl. I really just wanted to get this over with. If it was to produce an heir with her, so be it. Moreover, once she had served her purpose, she would be killed... Wasn't death the ultimate freedom for her kind?

"....maybe then we can all wait to die like a bunch of sheep!" The argument around me continued. Abruptly snapping me out of my thoughts.

"So you suggest we storm their camp? With no information of what we should expect there? We don't know how many they are, we can't just attack blindly." Someone from the room said, trying to reason.

"That is not an excuse! No matter how many they are we can always take them out!"

"You speak like a fucking child!" Another man growled. "That is the kind of plan that would get us all killed."

"Well, then I am ready to die if that is what it takes. They killed my people! And I'm sure we can all agree that those monsters need to die for what they did. Our last king waged war against them because he understood how dangerous they were. The only thing we can do is continue what he started." The man declared. He had been really close with my late father when he was alive and ruling but their arguments and screams were starting to irritate me.

I had heard enough.

"That doesn't mean we should spill innocent blood. The late king would not have agreed to this. He ruled his pe=" "ENOUGH!"

I growled, immediately bringing perfect silence to the rowdy room.

"My father was many things... he was strong... and brave... he was an excellent leader... But one thing, he was not was foolish. My father was not a foolish king. He led his people with wisdom," I said turning to the leader of the patrol guard who'd been arguing with the older wolves. "What makes you think their wives and children are innocent in this war we're fighting?"

The man gulped and said nothing. Good.

"We are not barbarians! But this is war! We do not fight wars with mercy in our hearts!" I watched as the majority of them nodded in agreement.

"But... but alpha. Those women and children don't deserve to die for what their leaders did. This isn't what your father would have wanted you to do as his son. He would have wanted you to spare the innocent." The young man said firmly. Daring to talk back at me. I was suddenly filled with eye-blinding rage at the disrespect. Everyone must have felt the sudden change in the room, because they all simultaneously started moving backward, leaving just the man who cowered in fear.

All I could see was red. I let out a guttural growl as I felt my sharp fangs protruding. The look of fear on the man's face intensified as I took a step closer and I sucked it all in.

"Kneel!" I commanded aggressively. I would make an example out of him.

His knees dropped to the ground, producing a loud thud. His body trembled terribly as he bowed his head, refusing to look me in the eye.

"You have no idea what my father would have wanted," I growled getting closer to the man.

"You do not speak unless you're asked to! Those bastards attacked my village and slaughtered my people, YOUR PEOPLE! What makes you think their wives and children are innocent?"

"I will kill every last one of them and burn their village to the ground!"

"I will slaughter their mothers and fathers, sisters and brothers! Every living thing I lay my eyes upon from that village will die!" I declared loudly.

To hell with sparing the innocent, no one was innocent in this war.

The room grew loud with hollers from bloodthirsty warriors.

"It is decided! We make a plan and attack Desmond and his pack of rogues!" I concluded, causing loud cheers of approval.

"Alpha...I was just-"

I didn't let him finish. I drove my hand across his face, my sharp claws slashing his flesh in one swift motion, painting the walls beside us red. The man collapsed to the ground, hands clutching his face as he screamed in pain. The venom from an alpha's claw was excruciating as hell, but I was not your average Alpha. I was a lycan. The top of the food chain. I was sure the pain he was in was strong enough to kill ten grown adult human males. "You do not speak unless you're asked to!" I growled at the man writhing on the ground.

"We're fighting a war, we're not here to joke around like little kids. We attack, sparing not a single soul. We fight for a purpose!" I declared loudly, my breaths coming and going in harsh pants from my outburst.

I looked up and noticed Willow standing at the entrance, listening intently to what I was saying. Our eyes met and she offered a small smile that was meant to calm me down. It did, but only a little. But it was enough to make me draw back my fangs and retract my sharp claws.

"Get his coward out of here!" I yelled to no one in particular. "And everyone clears the room!"

At the command, everyone bowed, and a chorus of 'yes, my king' filled the quickly emptying room. Some of the guards came in and picked up their leader.

At the command, everyone bowed, and a chorus of 'yes, my king' filled the quickly emptying room. Some of the guards came in and picked up their leader.

I should talk to Greg about this. A man as weak as him should not lead my soldiers!

When the room was empty, Willow walked in, coming straight to plant a kiss on my lips.

"You're upset," she said, running one hand through my hair, the other caressing my face lightly.

I leaned into her touch and sighed. "They make me lose my cool sometimes."

"What was it about this time?"

"They're worried," I said, burying my face into her neck, inhaling her calming scent.

"I don't blame them though. There have been multiple sightings of rogues getting too close to our border... they're probably from Desmond's abomination of a pack."

She pulled my head back to look me square in the eye. "Desmond had a hand in your father's death, Talon. If they really are rogues from his pack, you should be getting worried yourself," Willow said with urgency. This was why I loved her so much, she understood

me.

When the war had broken out between my father and Desmond, I had only been an innocent boy. That hadn't stopped Desmond from sticking his knife through my chest when he and his people raided my village. It had been a miracle from the moon goddess that my life was spared and I survived, earning me my first battle scar at a very tender age. My father, on the other hand, hadn't been so lucky.

I remember that day like it was only yesterday. It had been right after my eighteenth year of human life, after the ascension ceremony that uncovered my true potential to the pack. It had been discovered by the mage at the time when I was first born that the moon goddess have gifted me with a special ability.

I was a lycan.

In fact, the very first in thousands of years. So when I turned eighteenth and was assigned my role, it was no shock to everybody who'd been present that day when my human body was suddenly engulfed by thick black fur, the thickest anyone had ever seen in so long. I remember how everyone cowered and dropped to their knees, even my father the Alpha at that time.

Tales of my transformation had traveled far across the lands of neighboring packs and had gotten to Desmond. He had attacked in the dead of night, taking everyone by surprise. We had counted great losses that day, including the Alpha who sustained grave injuries that claimed his life the very next day.

I snapped out of my thoughts and smiled at her.

"Of course, I know that, my moon. I know what I have to do... but some of my men are worried that hurting innocent women and children is not the way to win this war." I scoffed with disbelief.

How could they think like that? Desmond had hurt innocent women and children when he attacked us.

"And how else would they suggest winning this war?" I could tell she was not happy with what she was hearing. "If I remember correctly, Desmond killed our innocent wives and children too." "That's exactly why we have to attack him now," I growled.

We had tried multiple times to raid Desmond's pack, but it seemed every time we attacked, he had gotten tipped off of our arrival. Multiple times, we had arrived at a completely deserted village. I had begun suspecting there was a mole from my pack. "Well, I hope you taught them a lesson never to question your authority," Willow asked with a small smirk.

My head turned back to the blood-smeared wall. Willow followed my gaze and smirked at the red-painted wall.

"How's that for teaching lessons!" I asked sarcastically.

"You don't know how hot you are right now," She whispered biting her lips seductively.

"How about you show me..."
