The Lycan Series -
Bullied By The Lycan King Chapter 77
Axel's POV
"They were in the southern lands yesterday and so far there has been. no sign of her," Nathan said scribbling into the map. "This means that she is no longer in our kingdom-if at all she is alive..." "I understand what you are saying but I want no stones left unturned. I don't care where she is or what happened to her... I just need her body, dead or alive." I hissed.
I wasn't about to give up on the search for Willow, after everything she had done.
She had dared to insult me and my parents, I wanted her to realize how much of a mistake she made by thinking she could ever rule these lands.
"Okay, we'll work on that..." Nathan mumbled.
We were both in my office, reviewing the reports and tracking Greg's progress in the search.
Greg had been out for days now and deep down, I knew that Nathan just wanted his father to come home especially since the search wasn't yielding the kind of results I had hoped for.
Greg had almost completed the entire stretch of the kingdom, yet Willow wasn't y found.
"How far could she have run?" I growled more to myself than to him.
Nathan raised his head from the paper in front of him and let out a sigh. There were telltale signs of stress all over his face and before he even spoke, I could tell just how much he wanted to end all of these but maybe it wasn't as much as I did.
I wanted it to end too but in my head, Willow was going to die before any of these came to an end.
"If you ask me, I think she is dead," Nathan said with sincerity dripping out of him.
"But let's not focus on that. My father should be done with the entire kingdom perimeter by the end of the week. I have also sent out notes as far as the forgotten lands... So we should come up with a more precise theory."
"Put a price tag on her head. I don't care who replaces her. Just make sure to give whoever it is, a very large amount of money..." I growled.
As Nathan got to his feet to begin executing the new plan, a question came to me and I stopped him.
"What about the new Lycan, any news on him?"
Nathan stopped and turned to me. "We don't have the permission to step into his land. We don't even know if there truly exists a Lycan out there..." Nathan explained.
"It is not called the forgotten land for nothing. There must be something forgotten there... Send spies or a scout. We need all the information we can lay our hands on.
For all we know, that imbecile with a scar might be hiding there!" I growled referring to Willow.
My rage wasn't just for the fact that Willow hadn't been found. More of my anger was because I had accommodated Willow all along under my roof and I had no idea who she was. It didn't even stop there. Greg had consistently warned me about her but I didn't listen to him.! could have executed her just like Greg had advised but I remained stubborn.
Now it was too late.
"Oh sorry-" Nathan mumbled as he got to the door, catching my attention. I raised my head and saw that a very excited Aunt Emily was rushing into the office.
A frown settled on my face and I glared at her as she brushed past Nathan -who stood there watching her with the same expression as I was.
"Oh Axel, I have great fucking news! You will not fucking believe it! The goddess has finally shown her f*****g mercy on us again!" She shrieked and the frown on my face deepened.
She looked like she had received a large package from the old fool in red the humans of the old days called Santa... And at a time when we should have all been worried about Willow's whereabouts.
I continued glaring at her, waiting for her to spill whatever had excited her but she kept bubbling with a grin that moved from ear to ear in a very irritating way.
"Aunt, please tell me you have found Willow..." I was growing irritated with her excitement.
She moved closer to my table and slapped her hands on it. "Oh please Axel, stop thinking of that cursed bitch for now! I have wonderful news! Much more than you had ever imagined!"
It took every control I had not to slap the smug grin off her face and wriggle the information out of her. But I contained it. I sat there, staring at her with my control dwindling but strong. "What news do you bring, Aunt?" Nathan asked behind her.
She turned her face away from mine and turned to Nathan. "Well, you are looking at a fucking grand Aunt now..." She beamed.
My brain paused and I saw red instantly as the words started replaying in my head.
"What are you talking about Aunt?" Nathan moved his arms to his chest and glared at her.
While I was growing angry, he was becoming curious.
"Violet is fucking pregnant! She is going to give us a f*****g heir! I will be a grand Aunt. You will finally get a godson and Axel," she yelled turning to me. "You will be a fucking father!"
A ringing started in my ears and I felt a strong wave of rage start growing from my toes and spread all over my body.
My vision became completely red and I stood from the chair I had been occupying.
"What did you say?" I asked, my voice barely a whisper.
Aunt Emily's grin finally washed off her face as she realized the look on my face.
"Axel, she is pregnant. What's going-" Her words drowned as I slapped the table and it went crashing in her direction.
It was just a few inches left for it to scratch her. She froze in her position, staring at me like I had grown a second head.
"Is that the rubbish she told you!?" I roared.
Aunt Emily blinked as she looked around obviously not getting where I was trying to reach.
And I wasn't in the mood to drive her around her memory lane. I kicked off the drawers left behind by the destroyed table and headed for the door. "Where is she?" | roared as I got closer.
The question seemed to snap Aunt Emily out of her daze and she quickly ran to the door and stood in front of it.
"Axel, what has gotten into you? She is pregnant. What do you plan on fucking doing?"
She cried out.
If she wasn't my father's sister, I would have squeezed her neck till she had no breath left in it.
Taking a menacing step toward her. I stared deeply into her eyes and from the corner of mine I could see Nathan already getting closer to defend her.
"I seem like a rabid beast to you," I growled, holding out my hand for Nathan to stop whatever plan he was brewing in his head.
"You both forget that Jasper had specifically said I couldn't impregnate anyone unless they had Lycan blood in them! Have you both forgotten that?" She and Nathan exchanged looks before she returned her eyes to mine. "But she is your mate! This might be a miracle!"
My heart, for the first time, thumped at the news and right after that, it was filled with the pain of betrayal and maddening rage.
"There is no such thing as mates or miracles! Violet cheated on me with some human fool and got herself pregnant!" I growled.
Aunt Emily was shocked and I used that moment to push her away from the door but she suddenly regained her balance and held on to my upper arm.
"Axel these are still assumptions! You can't put this sort of accusation on her and hurt her. What if the child is yours?! What if there is a sign?!" I pulled my hand out of her hold and flashed her my red eyes.
"I am a breed between a Lycan and a half-human. Do you really think a pure-blooded human can carry my child? Are you really that fucking stupid aunt?!"
Her eyes dilated at the sound of my words and I knew just how much I would have bled her with my words but I cared less. She should have thought of all the possibility of fraud before coming to me with her teeth wide open in celebration of a bastard. "Axel," Nathan called for the first time and I stopped again. "Let me handle this. You are already too stressed out..."
"I am not going to kill her... At least not yet..." I growled and walked out of the office with my heart burning with anger.
