The Lycan Series -
Bullied By The Lycan King Chapter 89
Axel's
POV
"Was it really necessary to punish Violet in such a manner, Axel?* Greg growled for the umpteenth time since coming to my office. And just like I have been doing before, I ignored him again and focused on the papers in front of me.
"She is a female! She is human and her body is certainly not made to take all these works! Most importantly, Axel she is pregnant
I slapped my hands on the table the moment he mentioned her pregnancy and my shut lasers at him. "I do not want to hear about that slave anymore. Not from you or from anyone!" I growled, daring him to counter my words.
"But what if it is later cleared? What if, Axel? Why are you choosing to be this stubborn even at a time like this... a time that we all need you to get an heir..." His face flashed with a thousand emotions, and I could see his struggle but the one rumbling within me was greater. "Greg, leave!"
"No, I am not leaving until you listen to me!" he retorted, "You sent her to the slums to live with another human. I said nothing, not because I feared you but because I realized you both needed the space. You asking her to come work here is just crazy!" My body was trembling now, and I was close to just squeezing the life out of Greg
-anything at all to make him shut the fuck up.
"Greg, I am going to say this for the last time-"
"Say it as much as you want, Axel! But someone must tell you the damn truth! And that truth is that we have a new Lycan in the area -Asher! If you don't give us an heir, the council will vote him in!" He yelled and my anger paused as a strong wave of confusion washed over me.
"Why would the fucking council vote a stranger?" I spat out, glaring at him. he obviously has worked for too long and now his brain was failing him.
"You are asking me that?" he retorted, and my brows raised -what other f**k did he expect me to ask him?
"The forgotten lands and this land is but one land. If you paid attention to Asher, you would have noticed that he knows the history more than you do..."
"If there is need to eliminate him, then I will happily do it!" I spat getting to my feet.
"And you think that's the smart thing to do?" His eyes turned into tiny beads as he stared at me like I had grown a different head.
"I thought I brought up a smarter man... If Asher understands that the best option, we can have is to be joined once again as a family. You should be wise enough to know that if you don't want that, then an uprising will come. The council will demand for an heir or Asher will become the sovereign lord!"
"So what? Now I must accept a fucking bastard because I want to keep my kingdom?" I hissed back at him.
Greg shook his head and slapped the papers in his hands on the table in front of me.
"I really hope you are right, and that child isn't yours, Axel!" With those words out, he turned and walked out of my office, leaving me to deal with my emotions.
Greg thought punishing Violet in this manner was too much. But it wasn't! She deserved every pain she received and more for daring to cheat on me after everything I did for her. I showered her with everything, but she turned around and spat on my face-yet they expected me to be lenient with her. Never.
"Damn it!" I hissed, kicking the table away from me.
The poor furniture slid to the wall and landed with a hard crash.
My eyes followed the movement of the table, and then it came to rest on the door, and i felt a dark energy shift within me. Violet had to pay for this. She was the reason why I couldn't sleep at night.
She was the reason why my wolf and the whole of me were uneasy. She had placed her curse on me and by now,! knew that I couldn't break out of it, and I had promised to cause her as much pain as I could. She would not have the peace she wanted if 1 couldn't bring my body to forget the fake affection, she showed to me.
I moved out of the office and marched down to the kitchen where I knew she would be working. My hands were clenching and unclenching as I moved; my mind was
reached the kitchen, she gave me an idea.
My heart squeezed. as dark desire filled my lungs just at the sight of her. She was standing by the kitchen counter, holding a plate of chocolate plate in her hands. My heart was melting, and I had to mentally, spank myself for being weak in her presence. "What do you think you are doing?" I growled and she jumped out of her skin causing the plate in her hand to drop to the ground, shattering into a million pieces.
"I am sorry... I will- the food is almost ready..." she stuttered and began to run on the opposite side of the large kitchen.
"And where do you think you are going?"
"I am... I wanted to-
"Your work here is to cook but you decide to eat while others, my guest die of hunger! Is that your plan? Is that what you are here for?" I growled, my loud voice swallowing her stutters.
Sweat started dripping down her skin as she helplessly looked at the ground -a move, targeted to melt me, but I was stronger than that.
"Come here, I have a better job for you since you can't do this!" I hissed and turned away from her. "Hilda!" I growled, knowing fully well, that she would be hovering around the kitchen like a fly to protect the little witch.
Soft feet echoed behind me, and I was a little disappointed that Violet was following when she should have resisted so I could get more reason to hurt her more.
Nevertheless, I continued moving till I got to the general room, then I turned to replace, Violet and Hilda behind me.
"Yes, my king," Hilda greeted with a bow.
"It's good that you are here. Ask one of the other slaves to bring a mop and a bucket of water. I want this place cleaned and Violet will do it alone," I said with a grin dancing on my face.
"Oh, and while she is at it, you," I called to Violet. She turned to me with weary eyes that were forced, and I pointed to the ground. "While Hilda is working on getting the water and the mop stick, you should go down on your knees..." Her eyes blinked and she sniffled, but she nodded and ever so dramatically she went down on her knees. My grin grew bigger when I saw the pale look on her skin. Good, this should be enough for a day. It would teach her a good lesson.
Hilda also looked like she would complain but she knew her place. She turned away slowly, and I watched from a distance as she spoke to the slaves to get the needed materials.
A few minutes later, Hilda returned with the large mop and bucket. Then she placed it on the floor right beside Violet.
"Here is it, start cleaning," she whispered in a low voice that sounded nothing like the authority I knew she possessed.
"Tsk tsk... oh Hilda... you are losing your touch. You are becoming weak." I closed the distance between us and grabbed the mopping stick from her. Both she and Violet followed my movements wondering what I had planned.
My grin remained as my eyes burned with the fire of my anger, I traced my fingers along the mopping stick till I got to the very top, then when they expected it, I broke the mopping stick at the very joint, leaving just a small stick at the top of the mop.
"Now it's perfect, this way, you wouldn't stand to clean... you would kneel like your status requires." My eyes were fixed on her, and I saw a single forced tear trickle down her face.
If the circumstance was different, I would have felt terrible for making her cry but given her crimes, she deserved every single one of them.
"Clean it fast, I don't want my special guest meeting you here," I hissed. I was turning away from them when my eyes fell on my sister, Scarlett.
Her green eyes moved between my face and the people behind me. Quickly I went to her and held her in my arms.
"Scarlett, do you need anything? Are you hungry? Why did you leave your room?" asked her but her attention remained on what she was seeing behind me.
"Who is she?" she asked in that shy voice of hers.
