The Lycan’s Rejected Mate -
Chapter 168
Caliana's
POV
We reached the corner and I dropped off. I musked my scent as I approached the two girls who were working while complaining.
"They will make us do it again if you do a crappy job, Candace," June said. Once I neared them, I grabbed a huge pole near a trash bin and attacked them with it. I first hit Candace's back with so much force that she fell to the ground, and before June could turn around, I hit her in the same manner. They groaned in pain and I used this opportunity to do it again. They were Lycans so they will heal. They struggled to get up and I kicked them down "What the f**k you CUNT!" She growled in anger and this time, I hit her neck
"Stay down, b***h how dare you to tell a five-year-old child hostile crap about me," Candace groaned and rolled her eyes
"That little brat told you?" I grabbed a bucket of paint and poured it over their heads, the girls screamed, I looked around and saw an officer looking at us, but he didn't interfere.
I grabbed a small bucket again and poured it on their faces. The ladies were livid now, trying to get up to attack me but fell back as the ground was greased with paint.
"I'm yet to deal with you for what you did to me in the clearing," I growled, these two had no idea how vindictive I was. I threw the bucket and it hit one of them. I walked to the car, my driver was shocked at my wild behavior while the officer gave and two colleagues of his gave me a thumbs up.
I went back home to help prepare dinner. It took hours to get everything ready and we were done. I picked out a maroon cocktail dress with a low neckline and wore the sexiest heels I could replace, I applied red lipstick on my lips and put my hair in a way that exposed my neck.
The guests were starting to arrive so I went downstairs, the evening was calm and the servers were going around giving everyone champagne. Alpha Edward was stunned to see me, taking me in with [**t-filled eyes and I smirked at him. He cutely squinted his eyes. He came to me and linked our arms.
"You look good," He complimented, it was the first time he ever complimented my look and I flushed.
"Thanks. you don't look bad yourself," I said.
Alpha Edward introduced me to his generals and they were all polite and gracious. I mostly wondered if this is the "Golden Stone Pack. Tales of their cruelty ran across borders and packs and yet, to me, they are so kind and humble.
I welcomed everyone with grace and a smile until the door opened and I grimaced, looking at the woman I hated. Candace walked in with June and another older man.
"What are they doing here," I hissed at the Alpha beside me.
"I don't know," I separated my arm from his and he frowned.
"She's your lover, and I'm sure you invited her to a dinner I'm hosting!" I hissed. I was so tired of this disrespect from him.
"I didn't invite her and she can come here if she is with a ranked general, maybe she's a plus one," He shrugged " That's June's father with them,"
"So, it is a plus two," I snarled, looking in their direction. I was frustrated. They were coming to us now so I held my mate's arms again which surprised the Alpha and smiled at the trio. Both ladies had blonde bob wigs, I'm sure their hair was ruined after I spilled paint in it. They reach us and bow
"Good evening, Alpha, Luna,"
"Good evening," We answered.
"Nice wig ladies," I chortled.
"Thank you, Luna, some unruly woman spilled paint in our hair while we were doing our duty as good citizens,"
"Geez, I wonder what you did to deserve it," I retorted.
"It's very good to meet Luna Caliana, I missed the Luna introduction and wedding," The older man with them says.
"This is Sir Matthew, he's a general of the port," Alpha Edward said. I nodded.
"Thank you for coming, and enjoy yourselves," I tell him and walk away.
The party interaction was going on well and I was surprised to see Pink, she was wearing a lovely pink gown, and she smiled at me, and I returned it.
"Hello, Luna, good to see you're alright, and thank you for not reporting us," She said.
"Yes, it's alright," I was going to socialize with others when I remembered something.
"Why do you hang out with Candace and June? They don't seem to be your type of friends," I asked. She sighed,
"Well, we grew up together and went to the same school abroad so we are kinda forced," She shrugged, and I touched her arm.
"Alright, but please be careful with them, and avoid going along with whatever they say or you'll get in real trouble one of these days," I advise her, she seems to be in thought but only for a moment. "Thank you, Luna," She smiled.
The head chef's mind linked me to say dinner was ready.
"Good evening, everyone," I started, all the guests looked at me and I was so nervous to continue, but I was surprised when Alpha Edward came to stand by my side. His arm circled my waist.
