Caliana's

POV

My eyes eased open and I found myself in the arms of the Alpha, we were lying on a massive black sofa. My face was red when I remembered what happened between us last night, we were insatiable and drenched in our bliss. My eyes roamed the red room we were in, it was really neat. It had shelves and drawers with many toys in them. There was a large red carpet that matched the drapes and it smelled amazing. I inhaled again and the Alpha shifted.

"Good morning," He greeted, his voice was neutral and I inwardly sighed.

"Morning," I replied, getting out of his grip and picking my ripped dress from the floor. He got up too and picked up his trousers, he got dressed and we left his pleasure room.

He opened the door with some digits and it led us straight to his bedroom where I found a shocking surprise. Candace was in his bed, sleeping under the covers.

"Is she the one you were waiting for last night?" I asked, hurting filling me but I maintained my emotions so that he doesn't see me break.

"No, we of course not," He whispered and I didn't know if he was being truthful or not.

"She's in your bed,"

Candace stirred and hopped out of her bed, she was naked as expected. She ignored me completely and smiled at Edward.

"I thought we were supposed to meet at the hotel," She purred, her gaze traveling to me and frown

"You chose to be with her? I thought you told me last time with her was a mistake!" She cried, covering her face, I looked at Alpha Edward and swallowed the lump in my throat, he shook his head as if he didn't understand what was going on. "Candace, what is this?" He growled and she cried louder." She's lying,"

"Oh my goddess, now I'm a liar... Is she that good?" Candace whimpered louder, the Alpha approached me but I ran out of the room, leaving him with his lover. Never again will I fall for his trick. I refuse to be made a fool of. Every time I think we are going somewhere, my hopes are crushed. He was waiting for her last night, not me. I was a substitute.

Candace's POV

I will lose him to her if I don't play my cards right. The Alpha hasn't touched me for a long time and I know it has something to do with Caliana Meyers, oh lords, I hate that b***h. She acts so innocent and gentle yet her mind is cunning. 'She has already taken his heart, My inner Lycan snarled. She hates that I fell deeply for a man who is not my mate.

"What the f**k was that?" He roars at me, angry that I created a rift between them.

"I was losing you to her even, you said you'll never fall for her!"

"I didn't fall for her,"

"You're starting too. You took her to your pleasure room and no one except Jane Ann has been in there, BUT YOU TOOK HER!" I seethed, I don't care if he doesn't love me, he made a vow years ago to never love another woman after Jane Ann's betrayal and I've accepted that part, but he can't love another!

"So you decide to come up with this stupid idea?" He growled, he was angry at me. I sighed and nodded.

"You'll thank me later for getting rid of her for you, gosh, I should have killed the b***h when I had the opportunity," I shrugged my shoulder, his neck tilted slightly and his eyes flashed gold, his wolf was close, he asked,

"Did you attack Caliana in the clearing?" The question was unexpected so I backed away from him in fear, I didn't know how he'll react to the truth if this was a week ago, I'd answered confidently but that f*****g Meyers girl did something to my Alpha. The longer I didn't answer the more his aura darkened and it made my inner Lycan whimper in fear of her Alpha, it's been a while since I felt like this, being looked at like prey and I knew he would attack me right here if I admitted what I did. The Alpha took a step forward and I took one back

"Did you attack her?" He repeated his question, my heart raced in my chest and I cleared my throat to deny this allegation.

"Of course not. She would have ratted, you know how much she despised me by now," I tried to sound nonchalant. He didn't believe me and before I knew it he grabbed my neck, pushed me against the hard wall, and lifted me in the air. I kicked and struggled to no avail,

"Please," I choked. His inner beast resurfaced and he was murderous. He wanted to kill me. His claws dug into the flesh and tears poured from my eyes, all air supply was cut when the door opened, I've never been more pleased to see Jamal as I was now. He rushed to us,

"Edward, you're killing her!" He said but my Alpha was too consumed with anger to listen.

"She f*****g hurt her," He growled.

"Let her go, she'll be punished for whatever she did the right way!" the Alpha threw me across the room, I hit a bed night lamp and fall on the floor, covered in my blood while he glared at me. Growling.

"Are you crazy Edward, you could have killed a pack member!" Jamal shouted, coming to inspect me.

"She hurt my mate, her Luna" He roared and everything in the room quietened. What did he mean by that? I felt like my whole world came to an end

"Your mate?" Breathed Jamal, shocked.

"Caliana is your mate?" I cried through my pain. It can't, a woman took him from me once and I wasn't going to let history repeat itself. Is she his real mate or a chosen one like before? I thought before darkness enveloped me.
