Caliana's POV

The next day was Halloween, and Love and I were dressed as evil witches. We walked downstairs to the grand foyer as we went to do trick or treating. We found the brothers there, they were all in casual outfits except Marcus and Garret who dressed as some killer cowboys. I squinted my eyes when I smelled actual blood from them. Garret smiled.

"Hey, sexy witches,"

"Garret!" I hissed, gesturing to the little girl who was now in her father's arms.

"What! You look good as witches," he said.

"Thanks,"

Jamal greeted me with a smile. My eyes settled on the Alpha who was busy talking to Love and I found myself smiling. He was so good to his daughter.

"Let's go," Garret said and Alpha Edward gently put his daughter down and kissed her head. His eyes trailed to me and he nodded, acknowledging me. I swallowed and tamed my heart from leaping out of my chest. I missed him and I hated myself for that. We walked out the door and the pack was lively, the streets were full of people in different attires, having fun.

We did trick or treating with Love and by the time we were done, we had a bag full of candy.

"You know you can only have one tonight right?" I said, inspecting her teeth as we got inside the house, she groaned.

"Three please,"

"Nope," I was adamant. She crossed her arms over her chest and pouted angrily. I chuckled and got on my knees, tickling her. Love was laughing so hard as she was trying to get away from me. The ruckus must have woken the Alpha because he came downstairs to check what was going on, he was only wearing shorts, and my eyes trailed on his abs. Damn, this man was hot. My wolf purred.

"I'm sorry if we woke you, daddy," Love said, polite as always. Her father just smiled at her and kissed her.

"How was trick or treating, did you get enough candy?" He asked and Love beamed, showing him a bag full of candy.

"I'm so glad I went with Caliana, a lot of people like her and admired our outfits,"

"That's good, can I have one?" Alpha Edward asked, reaching for the bag but Love swatted his hand away.

"No, all mine," she growled and I gasped in surprise.

"Love, I didn't know you can growl, look at you big girl,"

She smiled and her dad looked at her with pride.

"Of course, she's my daughter," I nodded and smiled. Indeed she's a Chasia Alpha. Most kids don't start using their counterpart's voice till they are ten! But love is only five, it can only mean that both her parents are strong Alpha Lycans so she's precocious. "Alright sweetheart, enjoy your candy," The Alpha said and I snatched the bag.

"Are you kidding me, do you see all the cavities in her mouth? That is not going in her room," I declared and Love frowned. Her eyes stared at the bag in my hands.

"But I only have two cavities," she whined.

"I don't care, tomorrow we are going to the dentist only then can we discuss how many you will have," I told her and she was on the verge of crying, looking at her father for help, Alpha Edward begged me with his eyes to let have as many but I was solemn. Unlike me, Love had him wrapped around her little finger and he gave in to all her demands even that which is unhealthy for her teeth.

"Daddy,"

"Caliana is right," Agreed the Alpha and then looked at me" can't she have at least the three?" He asked and I almost giggled. Yep, wrapped around her little finger!

"You can only have two," Her eyes lit up and she picked the ones she wanted.

"I also like these, they explode in your mouth," she said, giving me puppy dog eyes.

"Nope, go brush your teeth, I'll be there in a minute," I pointed up the stairs. She stormed her feet

"You're such a mom," she murmured and went up. I was left with the Alpha. We watched Love disappear and didn't know what to say to each other.

"Thanks for taking her," he said.

"She wished you were there," I said.

"I don't do that,"

"I think there are some things you can do for your daughter, Alpha," I said and he didn't say a word. Just looking at me. He started to approach me but the door opened and a tall blonde woman walked in.
