Chapter 17 the Catastrophe

Just as Luca and Nancy got into the Kitchen a loud noise was heard ofdishes breaking and a monstrous grow! from the kitchen. Lunainstinctively got up and ran to the kitchen and Soccorah could not stopher. When she entered the Kitchen, she saw a bewildered Nancystanding in front of the wolf from her dream. She couldn't believe hereyes. She was so surprised. The wolf growled angrily in her direction. Heseemed confused

Nancy shouted at Soccorah “What are you waiting for Stun her.” Lunashocked at what just happened turned to see Soccorah’s eyes turn pinkand started to wave her hand in Luna's direction. Luna pushed her andran out the house. She burst through the front door and ran as fast asshe could in human form away from the house. She could feel the wolffollowing her. She ran until she'd lost him.

“Why did they try to hurt her. Why did Luca Growl at her like he wantedto hurt her? She thought that she'd found a friend in Soccorah but shebetrayed her. What the hell was she anyway? Pink eyes? What the fuckwas all that about.” Luca whom she was attracted to and thought to bethe love of her life was now chasing her down. She'd just tried gettingaway from her adopted parents who kept her from her only livingfamily only to throw herself into the mouths of wolves and whateverthe hell Soccorah was.

She couldn't go home as she didn't want to face her parents now. Shealso didn’t want to risk Luca following her home. What can I do shethought to herself? Where can I go? She then remembered that heruncle had told her that she could always count on him when sheneeded answers. She headed to his house. She knocked anxiously andpersistently on his door.

Lucian came to open the door and was surprised to see a shaking Lunastanding there. “Luna, come inside. What happened? Why so scared?”he asked with a concerned tone. Luna buried her head onto his hugechest and started to cry. Lucian sat her down and got her a cup of tea.Luna proceeded to tell her uncle what had happened.

Lucian was quite surprised that there were ware wolves living in Attica.From what Luna had said Soccorah must be a Fay. He had not beenable to detect her scent. She must be protected. Lucian went o to tellSoccorah of her heritage and why she shouldn't fear any creature warewolf or fairy alike. He told her how she had inherited her grandmother'sgift and she only needed to accept it to be able to allow the gifts toevolve with her.

You are my family now Luna. We fear no one. We hold back our powerout of respect for the alpha of our pack as we only want to have anormal life. But no alpha can compare to the strength which you haveinherited Luna. When you are marked by your mate You will reach theheight of your power. Whichever pack alpha is mated to you is trulyblessed by the goddess.

He sat Luna down and explained what had happened to her parents.That he had only recently found the witch who framed her mother setall of the tragedy that befell their family in motion. He had to leave forthe pack to exercise judgement. He told her that he could get her timeoff school if she wanted to come with him. After that was taken care of,she could train with the pack. That way she would definitely not freakout when faced with a situation like what happened tonight.

Luna agreed but was still confused about what had happened withLuca. She proceeded to tell him about her dream. She felt comfortablewith him. She sat and thought what her life would have been like hadhe raised her instead of her stepmom and dad. She felt so safe andrelaxed not like when she was thinking why he was constantly staring ather. That was creepy.

Lucian realized after listening to Luna's explanation about herexperience and dreams of Luca since her transformation that she hadfound her mate. He wanted to tell her but thought he'd give her sometime to get used to being a wolf first. He was so happy to have foundhis niece. “Well, those dreams were very vivid but I'm afraid that I leavetomorrow for the pack and if you want to join me in the morning youwill have to get packed. I will accompany you so we need to get somesleep.” With that they both went to bed.

Luca went back to the house to replace Nancy and Soccorah sitting at thedining table looking miserable. “What the hell was that? I justtransformed without even wanting too and it wasn't a fool moon andwe had a guest who saw it happen. I couldn't catch her. She justdisappeared. How is that even possible?”

“I made a potion to determine whether Luna was supernatural and youate it instead of her. There was no time we couldn't stop you.” Soccorahblurted out.

“What? Why would you do that? Isn't she your friend? Now she thinksthat we're monsters well thinks that I am a monster. So much forkeeping our secret. I couldn't catch her. How do we handle this mess?”luca was angry. He was angry that they had done this withoutconsulting him, putting everything that they had worked so hard tokeep secret at risk. He was worried that Luna had told someone whathappened. He was worried that she would be afraid of him. That shewould never want to see him again. That hurt him the most. He wassurprised at his feelings.

“Soccorah, what is she? Why couldn't I catch up with her. Why did I loseher scent? This should not be possible. Why didn’t you tell me whenyou realized that she may not be human? WHY DIDN'T YOU TELL YOURALPHA?" he shouted making Nancy and Soccorah tremble. He stormedout of the room to inform his father of the new developments as thisWas Serious.
