Chapter 70

Author's POV

Silas searched around the party grounds, his eyes skimming over the women as he sorted out Katrina,

How long does it take to do whatever it was she went for?

He wondered as he stared fixedly at the place he had seen her List

She had gone to catch a breath because of the comments coming from people, so why wasn't she back yet? Was someone talking to her and holding her back?

The thought of another man talking to Katrina sent a wave of jealousy and anger through Silas.

He imagined the way her dress had hugged her figure, her cleavage popping out, and he almost groaned..

Any man would see that and want a piece of it,

He was a fool to even think of letting her wear that.

Silas' eyes wandered to the staircase once more, and he ran his fingers through his hair in frustration. What was taking her so long to come down?

Deciding to go up

up and search for her, Silas took a step forward but was stopped by someone calling out his name.

His eyes darkened, his lips pulling into a scowl as he turned to whoever had called his name

"What?" He growled out.

Maria was taken aback by Silas' tone but she waved it off as him being moody.

She knew he hated going to events like this and kept wondering why he was there,

"Some of our suppliers wish to speak to you regarding the next supply," Maria said to him, tucking a strand of hair behind her ears

She had worn a short body con dress just to get his attention

The dress hugged her body in the right places, showing off her curves,

"Our suppliers?? Silas asked, an annoyed brow coming up.

The younger woman was starting to get on his nerves and he knew it was only a matter of time before he decided to end her Ye-yes. The suppliers for guns. They-

Lead the way, Silas cut her off, walking past her.

Maria clenched her fingers in anger, stomping her foot.

"He didn't even glance at me," She laissed, watching him walk away.

She knew that this was only because of Katrina, and they made her burn more.

Chapter 70

Silas, who used to be crazy about her, didn't even glance at her.

But that was going to end soon.

Maria glanced at the staircase where she had seen Chris pulling Katrina away.

Her lips curled into a smirk as she folded her arms across her chest.

"Katrina, I'm going to take back what you took from me,"

Silas stood listening to people speak.

He had come here because he needed to talk to his supplier, and since that was done, it was time to go home.

But the problem was that he still hadn't seen Katrina and that alarmed him.

Each time he tried to go off to look for Hye, some men came to question him about a business they were doing or asked about something different.

Silas was starting to get frustrated and couldn't take JT anymore something would happen, but Katrina was in danger, and he needed to go back immediately. "Excuse me," he said to the man who was still in the middle of his sentence, turning around to walk away.

Maria decided to make use of the situation.

"Chris would be done by now. I should act now," Maria said to herself before she turned to Silas, rushing after him.

She tried to control the smile that threatened to split her face in half.

But how could she?

When she was just about to get rid of her all-time enemy.

Fixing the look on her face, she walked up to Silas.

"Silas," She called, her lips pulling into a frown.

Silas turned around to look at Maria, but it was obvious that he was annoyed.

"What do you want this time?" He asked, staring down at her.

Maria's heart raced as she met his gaze, her earlier thoughts had vanished with her cheeks tinging red.

Silas looked good with his hair let down and the suit he wore.

He had taken off the tie and loosened the first two buttons some time ago, giving a peek at the tattoos on his chest.

"Well uh...." she drawled, swallowing saliva.

Maria couldn't even control herself in front of such a man; he looked like a walking sex god, and she wanted to make sure she kept him for herself.

"If you don't start speaking... Silas threatened, snapping Maira out of her daze.

Her face instantly turned blank and she folded her arms across her chest

"You're looking for that girl, yes?" Maria asked, sounding annoyed

Chapter 70

She knew that Katrina was just a few years younger than herself and yet she still called her that.

To her, Katrina would always lie a girl incapable of taking proper care of Silas. She just didn't understand why Silas would want her when there were other people. Silas' attention instantly snapped to Maria and he took a step toward her

"Where is she?" He growled.

The threat made by Maria came to mind, and he swore to make her way if anything happened to Katrina.

"I swear if you did anything to her... Silas threatened, his eyes glaring with fury.

Maria stood stunned for a moment, her lips parted.

She had never seen Silas get upset over anyone before, ever since his wife died, that is..

And now seeing him get upset over Katrina angered her to the bones.

"Why her and not me?" She gritted to herself.

Silas was supposed to hate Katrina, but that wasn't what she was seeing now.

But it didn't matter.

She was certain that after Silas went to replace Katrina, the only thing he would feel for her would be hatred.

"I didn't do anything to her, but you should go

ee for yourself," Maria answered.

She couldn't wait to see the look of disgust on Silas face when he found Katrina with another man. SEND GIFT
