Chapter 29 Chapter 29

Thirty mindblowing minutes later, I was rendered breathing heavilyunderneath my also breathing heavily mate. He was above me with athin layer of sweat on his brow as we lay amongst a sea of shambolicgarments.

"That was fucking good," he said collapsing on top of me.

I ran my hand through his thick hair and we both caught our breath.

I smiled and kissed him gently on the cheek before wrapping my armsaround his shoulders and nuzzling my head into his neck.

Another twenty minutes later, we decided it would be a good idea toget dress- especially considering the fact that this was not our house.Just as I did the last button up on my blouse, there was a knock at thedoor.

"Come in, Xander," Leo said pulling his hoody over his head.

Xander opened the door and immediately sniffed the air. He grimacedand looked over at Leo.

"Really?" he sighed. "At least open a window if you are going to havesex in my house.”

"Sorry, Alpha," Leo said getting up to open the windows at the otherend of the room.

"The storm has cleared. It is safe to leave whenever it suits you,” Xanderinformed us. I looked over at the window. There was still a thick layer ofsnow on the ground but it wasn't falling anymore at least.

"Thank you for allowing us to stay here,” Leo said. "And it was lovelyseeing my sister.”

"You are welcome anytime. And talking of your sister,” Xander began."Bella turns twenty this year and we think that we are ready to start outown family. If that alright with you, Leonardo?"

"Of course. You don't need to ask for my permission anymore. She is agrown woman now and more importantly your Luna so as long as she'shappy, I don't care what you do,” Leo replied.

Xander nodded.

"I just wish Haden was more like you," Leo said. "I never said he couldimpregnate Lia four times before her 20th birthday but he did itanyway. And god his kids can be little devils. I had the joy of beingappointed babysitter a couple of months ago. My six and their fourcombined is like a fucking zoo.”

I giggled at the thought of Leo running around after 10 kids all underthe age of four alone.

"Now you know how Rosa felt when you were young. Apparently, youwere a right little shit,” I said

"I grew out of it at least. The twins are still bringing her grief even nowand they're 21," Leo replied defensively.

Xander laughed a little before stepping back towards the door.

"I'll leave you to gather your things," he said before exiting the roomIt didn't take long to pack. Two minutes tops. Leo checked the airportschedule and booked three seats on a flight to Seattle later on in theday.

"We are leaving soon,” I said as I entered Max's room. Leo had beendownstairs talking to Xander and his beta for over an hour so I decidedto confine in Max for company.

Bad timing though.

"For the love of God put some clothes on," I said covering my eyes atthe sight of him standing in an itsy bitsy towel having just got out theshower.

"Funny. Almost as if you just walked into my room without knocking..."he mumbled sarcastically before throwing on a shirt and some jeans."He's letting you come home!" I squealed as soon as decency had beenobtained.

"To be honest, I'm surprised I still have my head," he replied with a grin."What the fucking hell did you say to him?"

"He actually forgave you on his own accord. It was the amulet part thatrequired some persuasion,” I explained.

"There was me thinking he loathed me," Max said with a shrug.

"Oh he did," I replied. "But you have seemingly redeemed yourself inhis eyes.”

"What exactly did I do except luring you away from him...twice...?"

"He sees a bond between us two and he knows that I don't fuck aboutwith bad people. For example: Luciano,” I began. "Thanks for that bythe way," I added sarcastically and bitterly.

"You weren't going to tell him so I did it for you.”

"No, I wasn't going to tell him! Do you have any idea what Lucianowould do if he somehow got to me after replaceing out that Leo knows?""He won't. Leo wouldn't allow it," Max reassured.

"And Leo is already protective enough over me. I don't need any fueladded to the fire," I replied.

"He has good reason to be protective about things like this! Do youwant to get raped by your cousin?! If he didn't know then he wouldcontinue to hand Luciano all his loyalty until something really badhappened.”

I folded my arms and scowled.

"That's the 'I know he's right but I'm not going to admit it' face,” Maxsaid with a smirk. "One of your favourites.”

"Shut up,” I grumbled.

He smiled to himself in amusement.

"I'm gonna get to see Milly!" He squealed suddenly out of the blue."After three years I'm going to get to see her!" he added pulling meinto a tight hug.

"Max?" I asked.

"Yes?"

"I can't breath.”

"Oh, sorry," he said releasing me and putting his hands on my cheeksbefore grinning ear to ear again

"That's the first time you've ever hugged me," I pointed out. "Must beout of your permanent bad mood at last! Just as we are going home.”"Shut up and don't ruin it," he said. "When are we going?"

“Two hours. It's a long drive to the airport though.”

He nodded and began to pack his things as I sat on the window seatgazing at the beautiful view whilst enjoying a chat with my favouritecousin.

As planned, two hours later we thanked Bella and Xander for everytime, bidded our farewells and one of Xander's men began to drive usback to Moscow.
