The Man in Power After Being Married into Her Family -
Chapter 3053
Charlie was extraordinarily gratified and relieved as he looked at these three people who were at least five to six years younger in body, spirit, and outlook.
He had always been alone ever since his parents had passed away, and he had never experienced what it felt like to have a real family.
Although Charlie had gained a family after he had married Claire, back then, the Wilson family members treated him even worse than they would have treated a n outsider. Only his wife, Claire, truly treated him like a family member. But when had any other members from the Wilson family ever treated him like their own family? 3
Even though his mother-in-law and father-in-law's attitude toward him was very good now, Charlie knew very well in his heart that he himself had used various benefits and favors in exchange for all of this. It was naturally a huge difference as compared to Yule's family.
After all, the feelings that Yule and his family of three had for Charlie came from the bottom of their hearts without taking any benefits or interests into consideration. This was a pure and real family. When he saw the great improvement in the family's
mental state, Charlie smiled slightly and said, "Uncle Golding, Aunt Golding, Nana, that cup of water just now should be able to help you to maintain your current physical state for at least three to five years. During this period, your body's resistance will also exceed that of the majority of people, and you will basically not fall sick." 2
As he spoke of this, Charlie then added, "However, the three of you should still pay attention to your work and rest schedule in general. You should not let yourself get even busier and more tired just because your body condition has improved slightly."
The family of three nodded in unison. Rachel wiped away her tears as she said seriously, "Charlie, you don't have to worry. Your Uncle Golding and I will certainly prioritize our work and rest schedule in the future. Otherwise, we will only be disappointing you and letting this great gift that you have given us go to waste..." 3
Yule also sighed and said, "You're right. Health is the most important thing!"
Charlie was gratified, and he smiled as he said, "I'm really very happy that the both of you have this awareness."
As he was speaking, Albert, who was outside the door, knocked and said, "Master Wade, the cake that Miss Golding ordered is already ready. Should I send it in now?" Charlie was about to speak when Quinn hurriedly
said, "Don't be in such a hurry!" 1
After she said that, she quickly said to Charlie," Brother Charlie, wait for me for a moment. I'll go and check to see if there's anything wrong with the cake first!"
After that, Quinn said to Yule, "Dad, turn off the lights first. We can turn the lights on again after blowing out the candles!" 1
Yule hurriedly turned off the lights
inside the private room. Quinn opened the room door to reveal a small-gap before she turned her
body sideways and sidled out of the
room mysteriously. 2
A few moments later, she pushed the room door open gently. She then pushed a food delivery cart inside, and there was a large five-layer cake on top of the cart.
There were six candles on each of the first to fourth layers of the cake, and there were three candles on the very top layer of the cake, making up a total of twentyseven candles.
What really surprised Charlie was that there were two very, very realistic dolls made out of fondant on the top layer of the cake.
What surprised Charlie even more
was that these two dolls were of a little boy and a little girl. The boy was a little older, around five or six years old, and the girl was a little younger, around three to four years old.
These two children were dressed in a very outdated way, and at first glance, it could be seen that their
dressing was from at least twenty years ago.
But even if it was clothes from twenty years ago, it could still be seen that the clothing on both of them was very detailed and elaborate. 3
The postures of these two children were also very interesting. The boy was standing in place, and the girl, who was obviously one head shorter than the boy, was shyly holding onto the boy's arm. If you were to take a closer look at the expression on these two people's faces, it would also be remarkably true to life. The boy had an inarticulate expression on his face that was even a little embarrassed and at a complete loss for what to do. As for the girl, she was very happy, and she had a huge smile on her face. 3
