Chapter 1419 An Encounter With Hannah
The Spiritual Infant was divided into three stages: the primary, the medium, and the advanced stage. Anyone who could cultivate the Spiritual Infant to the advanced stage would be able to cultivate it further into the Imperial Soul.
Not only was the Imperial Soul necessary for a spirit warrior to break into the Emperor Realm but it also gave the warrior the strength to fight more vigorously. It enabled a warrior to morph into a soul form and gain a substantial amount of power swiftly. Like the Spiritual Infant, it was also divided into the primary, the medium and the advanced stage.
Any King Realm warrior who wished to be the most powerful in one region should be able to at least cultivate and obtain the Imperial Soul. Only by doing that would they be able break through to the Emperor Realm.
Since ancient times, however, only a few spirit warriors from both the human race and the spiritual race managed to break through to the Emperor Realm.
Along with the valuable information he collected over the past few days, Rocky was able to roughly draft a map of the alien land known as the Supreme Ether Land. He learned that it was divided into three regions. The Devilish Region, the largest of the three, was known to be hell on earth for both the human race and the spiritual race.
The second-largest region was the Mysterious Region that belonged to the spiritual race, while the third and smallest was the Ethereal Region which belonged to the human race.
As for the city where Rocky sat, the Sword Spirit City, it was known as one of the most powerful regions belonging to the humans. Although it didn't take the top spot, it still ranked within the top ten most powerful forces. Dozens of cities comprised the Ethereal Region, which meant that it was ruled by dozens of powerful forces which in turn were ruled by various sects and clans.
Of course, not all of the forces were united. They were split into several sects all across the Ethereal Region as well. The most powerful one was the Sky-suppressing Sect led by the Sky-suppressing Mansion. The second most powerful one was the Sovereign Sect led by the Sovereign Pavilion. The Sword Spirit City belonged to the Sovereign Sect. There were two other sects but they were considered inferior to both the Sky-suppressing Sect and the Sovereign Sect.
Although Rocky garnered a basic understanding of the Supreme Ether Land, he still didn't manage to replace any clues about Alyssa and Marcia. His current identity prevented him from inquiring about them so openly. So he decided to remain in the Sword Spirit City longer to break through to the King Realm first.
Rocky's current strength reached the seventh grade of the Spiritual Realm which was only one step away from the King Realm. However, that would be an utterly difficult task. Among the three thousand spirit warriors of the Sword Spirit City, only dozens of them managed to break through to the King Realm and only a few of them obtained the Spiritual Infant. Even fewer had managed to possess the Imperial Soul. As for the humans of the Supreme Ether Land, breaking through to the Emperor Realm was their limit. That task alone was already quite arduous for them.
Back when he was in the Wild Spirit Land, Rocky could easily improve his strength quickly even under formidable circumstances. Therefore, he believed he would be able to break through to the King Realm as long as he had the proper environment to cultivate in.
Most importantly, he needed to win over Tessa. She was the daughter of the city's governor and, therefore, a valuable source of information. That was why flattering her had become a part of his daily routine. When he changed Nightshade's dressing and Tessa watched nearby, Rocky told her a made-up story of his past. As a modern man, he knew all the ways on how to please girls. With all of his affairs with women back in the Wild Spirit Land, he had more than enough experience to beguile a woman like Tessa.
Tessa had been wary of Rocky at first. But after a few days, she warmed up to him. Now they got along and she began to trust him.
They were currently enjoying each other's company in the Fragrance Pavilion.
"Are you really from the countryside? You don't look like someone who lives there at all," Tessa asked Rocky who was tending to Nightshade's wound.
"I'm from the country but I was educated on a lot of things since I was a child. Hence, I'm a man of wide knowledge and great wisdom," he replied.
"Really? No wonder you're able to create so many curious things by yourself. I hate studying, which exasperates my father every day." Tessa stuck out her tongue, a childlike yet charming demeanor of hers. "Did your father force you to study? Generally, girls get married sooner or later, which is why they don't need to focus on being well-educated, right?" Rocky asked her playfully.
"I don't plan on getting married. Men are horrible. None of them deserve to be my husband!" Tessa declared.
"How can you be so sure? You've never even been in a relationship with a man," Rocky asked with a mischievous grin.
"Hannah taught me that. She told me that men are always unreliable and that they should never be trusted," she retorted.
"Really? She must've been abandoned by a man before. Only a resentful woman would say that," he replied out of his judgment and earlier experience.
Just as he was about to continue talking, a graceful woman walked in and cast him a glance.
Rocky couldn't help but turn his head to meet the woman's gaze. It was none other than his savior from earlier, Hannah, the daughter of the Sword Spirit Sect's leader. "You are the one who saved me! Thank you for your all your help!" Fortunately, Rocky was wise enough to stand up straight and give Hannah a respectful bow.
Tessa couldn't help but cover her mouth and chuckle.
"Ramon said you are quite a smooth talker. It appears he's right!" Discovering the real intention of his words, Hannah immediately glanced at Rocky. Although she looked calm, the tone of her voice said otherwise.
"Does Ramon think that highly of me?" Rocky asked with a shameless smile.
"Tessa, how's Nightshade's wound?" Hannah asked Tessa, ignoring Rocky.
"It's almost healed thanks to Basil," Tessa replied.
"Is that his name? Basil?" Hannah glanced at Rocky once more.
"Why did you come here?" Tessa inquired.
"Ramon informed me a few days ago that Nightshade was hurt. I wanted to visit you but, as you know, the ongoing wars at the border have greatly affected the Sword Spirit Sect. I have been busy in dealing with affairs regarding the sect over the past few days. Today, I came to meet your father but I wanted to come over and give you this first." Hannah then took out a beautiful, fragrant rosewood box and handed it to Tessa.
"Is this the Beast Healing Ointment?" Tessa's eyes lit up at once.
"Yes. I heard that Nightshade's wound was quite deep. If you use that ointment, it may completely heal in three days," Hannah explained and nodded.
"How thoughtful of you," Tessa commended with a smile.
"Also, you officially reached the seventh grade of the Spiritual Realm. I mentioned this to my father yesterday and he will give you the chance to enter the Martial Spirit Graveyard," Hannah informed her. "Really?" Tessa's eyes flashed with excitement and disbelief.
"Your father doesn't seem to agree with me. He thinks it's unfair to the rest. The other disciples of the seventh grade of the Spirit Realm struggled greatly just for a chance at entering the Warrior Spirit Graveyard through the qualifying competition. If you manage to break through without competing, he's worried others will start gossiping about you," Hannah explained further.☐☐☐☐☐☐☐
