The Medallion
Chapter 1495 The Plan Worked (Part Two)

As soon as the crowd heard the announcement, everyone in the audience was quite surprised. Although the purpose of the competition was to really select a suitable husband for Hannah, many thought that five days was a bit too soon to hold this wedding.

Moreover, when they came to their senses, the champion of the competition was already nowhere to be found in the Sword God Square.

Not long after, Rocky appeared in the Medical Service Hall without his disguise. There he saw Ramon and Hannah talking, and he could see that Ramon was still wearing a guilt-filled expression. Without wasting any time, he walked up to them.

"Oh, is the competition already over? Who won?" Hannah still asked although she knew that no matter who won, the result wouldn't be good for her. Thus, she also had a gloomy expression on her face. "Yes, it's already over. There's actually a good news and a bad one. Which one do you want to hear first, Miss Hannah?" Rocky said as he crossed his arms.

"Well, I guess the good one," Hannah said after thinking for a while.

"Knox was the one who lost,' Rocky said flatly.

"Oh, really? Well, it is good news indeed. It means that the conspiracy of the Grand Sky Sect has failed. But how could he lose? I thought that he was overwhelmingly strong? And also, his opponent wasn't that remarkable, right?" Hannah asked as she furrowed her brows, confused at the sudden turn of events.

"Hmm. It seems that he had just hidden his real strength until the final match. Anyway, Knox lost. That's the irrefutable truth," Rocky replied indifferently as he shrugged his shoulders.

"Hey, are you hiding something from me?" Hannah immediately asked, sensing that something wrong was going on.

"What? No, I don't think so." Rocky just smiled innocently as he denied with a straight face.

"Then, what's the bad news?" Hannah heaved a sigh and asked.

"The bad news is that you're going to marry the representative of the Heaven Shadow Pavilion in five days," Rocky said straightforwardly.

"In five days? Are you kidding me? What's the hurry?" Hannah asked as her face was instantly filled with anxiety.

"I don't know. But it's the sect leader who personally announced it earlier," Rocky replied.

"Fine. I have to see my father right now," Hannah said as she hurriedly walked out of the Medical Service Hall.

"Although the evil scheme of the Grand Sky Sect has failed, Miss Hannah still needs to marry someone that she doesn't like. It's all of my fault. If only I have won..." Ramon deeply sighed as he wallowed in self-blame.

"Don't worry. It's not like she would lose her dignity in this marriage. It's just to maintain the sect's public appearance." Rocky smiled as he responded indirectly.

"Huh? What do you mean?" Ramon asked, confused at what Rocky was trying to say.

"Well, why do you think that representative of the Heaven Shadow Pavilion won in the first place?" Rocky asked as he hinted at something.

"That's right. You did say that he concealed his true power... Don't tell me it's you?" Ramon immediately connected everything and guessed right away.

Rocky just nodded and smiled faintly as a response.

"That's too dangerous! How dare you pretend to be a member of the Heaven Shadow Pavilion?! What if they learned? It will cause more trouble!" Ramon was overcome with surprise as Rocky admitted that he was indeed the representative of the Heaven Shadow Pavilion.

"Calm down. Everything was arranged by the sect leader. He was behind all of this," Rocky replied calmly.

"The sect leader? I see. That makes more sense." Ramon was even more shocked but realized that it was the most logical explanation.

"Anyway, this is all part of the plan. So, you don't have to worry. Even if something happens in the next few days, I will be sure to take care of it," Rocky said reassuringly as he patted Ramon on the shoulder.

"I just didn't think that the sect leader would boldly make such an arrangement. But at least, it worked out in the end. You have protected Miss Hannah. Thank you..." Ramon said with a grateful heart. Because of what Rocky had done, his regret was somehow eased.

"However, Miss Hannah still needs to get married to me in order to prevent the Grand Sky Sect from making any move that could give us trouble. With that, I actually feel guilty towards you," Rocky said gently. "It doesn't matter. The most important thing is Miss Hannah's welfare." Rocky knew that Ramon was infatuated with Hannah, so he actually meant to make him win if the two of them happened to meet in the final match.

"Well, I won't mind if you would want to spend the wedding night with her." Rocky took the opportunity to tease Ramon.

"Hey, don't talk nonsense!" Ramon couldn't help but reprimand Rocky as his face blushed wildly.

"Ha-ha, I'm just kidding." Rocky chuckled as he saw the serious face of Ramon.

After that, Rocky asked Ramon to rest some more and eventually left the Medical Service Hall. As soon as he walked out, Hannah suddenly appeared before him. Judging from her expression, it was obvious that she seemed more relieved than before she left.

"I guess you already heard from your father," Rocky said with a faint smile.

"Yes. I owe you a lot this time. But why didn't you tell me?" Hannah asked as she slightly pouted her lips.

"There was no absolute guarantee that the plan would succeed. If I told you about it and it failed, you would just feel more miserable. But fortunately, everything went well," Rocky replied.0000000
