The Medallion
Chapter 1497 Her Gene Defect Was Repaired

"I can't be a spirit warrior. Please don't ask me to cultivate anymore," Hannah answered with her young voice that was filled with pain.

"Impossible! I am the most talented warrior in the Ethereal Region. Nobody dares to mention another name alongside mine in the same breath. Your mother was also a well-known spirit warrior. As a direct descendant of ours, you're supposed to be more talented!" Timothy exclaimed, unable to accept that his daughter couldn't become a spirit warrior.

"Father, Doctor Lloyd told us that I can't cultivate due to my body's deficiency. Please, don't let me cultivate anymore," she begged him.

"You're my only daughter. I have no choice but to turn you into a spirit warrior. It's the only way you'll inherit the position of the Sword Spirit Sect's leader and continue leading our sect! From now on, I'll be building a foundation for you to work on with all my strength. I will not accept that you can't be one of us!" As soon as he said this, Timothy walked over to young Hannah.

"No! Stay away! Don't come here! Please!" she screamed in fear.

"I never expected her to have such a traumatic childhood experience. It appears that she's very reluctant to become a spirit warrior. Perhaps she doesn't realize this, but she certainly won't become one if she can't overcome this barrier," Rocky remarked. He knew Hannah needed to overcome this psychological trauma in order to get over it.

Therefore, he had to replace the real Hannah that was hidden deep within her somewhere.

Without any delay, Rocky dove deeper into Hannah's spiritual sense. Finally, in the middle of the endless world, he found Hannah asleep and curled up in the fetal position.

"Miss Hannah," Rocky called out to her as he drew nearer.

"Stay away! Don't come here!" she murmured subconsciously.

"Miss Hannah, listen to me. All of this is just a childhood memory of yours. I know it's unpleasant but it's all in the past. You can start all over again now. You can do anything you want to do as long as you recover," Rocky encouraged her.

"I don't want to be a spirit warrior. I hate it. Leave me alone!" she retorted fiercely like a tiny wounded animal.

Hannah's spiritual sense world began to repel Rocky's spiritual sense. The wind howled and the rain fell down in a torrent. Lightning flashed and the thunder rumbled across the sky.

"Miss Hannah, do you really want to devote yourself to the Sword Spirit Sect like an ordinary person for the rest of your life? Don't you want your father to treat you right? He has devoted himself to you more than anyone else! Yes, he went too far at times, but he never meant to harm you. You're his only child. It's natural for him to pass on everything to you. Nothing is wrong with you. It's simply what God has destined for you. Now you have a chance to change your fate. You should cherish it. Otherwise, you'll regret settling for being just an ordinary person," Rocky snapped sternly.

Suddenly, Hannah calmed down. It was as if Rocky's words had removed the weight brought by the stubbornness and expectations that troubled her heart for so long. She blinked her eyes slightly before opening them and was stunned to replace Rocky in front of her. "You... Why are you here? What is this place? What's happening?"

"Are you awake?" Rocky breathed a sigh of relief as Hannah began to wake up from her slumber.

"I had a dream. It was about my father when I was a child and..." Her body trembled once again as she failed to finish her sentence.

Seeing this, Rocky quickly held her in his arms to comfort her. In a gentle voice, he said, "It doesn't matter. It's all in the past. It's time to forget. From tomorrow on, your past will no longer control you. You'll have a new life."

"Really?" She didn't resist his hug. In fact, she cherished the connection and intimacy they shared. It was as though her fate had changed ever since Rocky first walked into her life.

"Of course. Now, let's get out of here!" Rocky quickly took Hannah's hand in his and disappeared from her spiritual sense world.

When she opened her eyes, Rocky was still beside her. He no longer held her in his arms as he did in her spiritual sense world. She felt as though she had lost something.

"Congratulations, Miss Hannah. Your gene has been repaired." He announced the good news swiftly.

"Are you lying?" She still couldn't believe it herself.

"You can feel it yourself," Rocky replied with an encouraging smile.

Hannah immediately tested out the most basic cultivation method to move the spiritual power within her. She soon discovered that a dense spiritual power could now be felt circulating along her meridians. "I... I feel it!" she said excitedly. "But why do I have such strong spiritual power in my body? I don't think I deserve this."

"The spiritual power must have remained within you when the sect leader built your foundation. Now that your body has improved, you can finally manipulate strong spiritual power. If I'm not mistaken, you'll be able to reach at least the fifth grade of the Spirit Realm as long as you continue to smoothly merge with it," Rocky further explained.

"Really? I never expected the foundation my father built with his spiritual power to still survive and remain within me all these years," Hannah admitted with astonishment.

"This shows that you're destined to be a great spirit warrior. Perhaps you'll accomplish something grand in the future," Rocky suggested with a warm, assuring grin.

"Thank you. If it wasn't for you, I would've had no chance of becoming a spirit warrior throughout my life. How can I repay you? Just tell me what you want and I promise I'll get it done!" Hannah was immensely grateful. Her mood at the moment was hard to put exactly into words. She knew that if it wasn't for Rocky, she would have never become a spirit warrior. She was ready to repay him with anything.

"I'm just doing my duty. There's no need to repay me." Rocky didn't take any credit. Although it was tempting, it was enough for him to know that he left a mark in Hannah's heart. He knew she would grow up to become a great helper to him in the future.

"No, I insist. I'll feel guilty if I don't repay you," Hannah informed him with a frown.

"I'm going to marry you, Miss Hannah. Countless spirit warriors throughout the Ethereal Region dream of making you their bride. So now I'm taking my chances and getting what I desire in return," Rocky admitted to her happily.

"That's two different things. Besides, it's not a real marriage. It's just a ruse," Hannah grumbled.

"Miss Hannah, do you really want me to marry you?" Rocky smiled.

"You wish!" Hannah glared at him, her face flushed with crimson.

"Well, it's time for you to leave here, Miss Hannah. After all, you're to be a bride soon. Staying at my place too long would get you into trouble," he reminded her.000000☐☐☐☐☐☐☐☐☐☐
