The Medallion
Chapter 1511 Come To Eunice

"Look, your meridians have been damaged by the impact. It would be better if you just give up now," Rocky urged the second he saw through Carla's mind.

"Ugh! Almost! I almost made it," Carla sighed with regret.

"Well, a miss is as good as a mile. It's not enough to subdue this Purple-flaming Phoenix with this Beast Spirit Jade," Rocky remarked bluntly.

"Oh? Why not?" Carla looked at Rocky with her brows pushed together, unsure of what he meant.

"You see, this right here is a demonic spiritual beast. If I remember correctly, the Beast Spirit Jade of the humans is specially designed for the spiritual beasts. Unless it's top-grade, it won't be possible for you to subdue a demonic spiritual beast like this Purple-flaming Phoenix. You don't happen to have that, do you?" Rocky explained, sounding adept.

Hearing his thoughts, Carla figured that what Rocky said was right. She fell silent for a while, realizing that it was no use subduing the beast in front of them with a Beast Spirit Jade that wasn't top-grade. What was more, it was common knowledge that such a superb jade was rare and invaluable in the Ethereal Region.

As the two of them talked, more and more disciples gathered around. All of them felt surprised to see the Purple-flaming Phoenix, yet prepared to move and grab ahold of it.

"Apparently, it has evolved into a demonic spiritual beast. It seems that single-handedly fighting it won't do anything. Everyone, let's join hands and catch it first! After that, we'll see who can subdue it," Hayden, who was also among the crowd, immediately shouted. At the same time, he glanced at Rocky. He did not expect that a mere follower like Rocky could teach his companions some lessons, let alone have incredible strength, so he chose not to act rashly for the time being.

All the disciples in the scene looked eager to take action since they were facing a demonic spiritual beast that was more advanced than the spiritual beast-each of them assuming they would be considered absolutely invincible if they got one.

"Good idea!"

"I agree! Let's capture it right away, and don't let it escape so we can all get a chance to take it down!"

"Yeah! What are we waiting for? Let's fight together!"

It was evident that they were all ready and willing to go all out.

However, among all of them, Carla was the strongest one. Since she and three others had been previously injured, they were left with disciples who were mostly at the King Realm with primary Spiritual Infant. Generally speaking, a King Realm warrior with advanced Spiritual Infant was equal to ten King Realm warriors with medium Spiritual Infant, or fifty King Realm warriors with primary Spiritual Infant. That was to say, if they wanted to win, they would need at least fifty King Realm warriors with primary Spiritual Infant to match its strength, given that the Purple-flaming Phoenix in front of them had evolved into a more powerful beast. In other words, unless all the disciples who entered that Phantom Valley to cultivate lend a hand, they might not stand a chance.

At that moment, only less than thirty disciples were remaining. Moreover, the most powerful ones among them were already injured, so it seemed like an impossible task to carry out.

However, since it was a demonic spiritual beast, even though the odds were against them, these disciples were ready to risk it all. After all, this might be their chance to acquire such a rare beast. At least, even if they failed, they would have no regrets afterward. Therefore, except for Carla and Rocky, all of the other disciples started swarming up towards the Purple-flaming Phoenix with the very purpose of trying to catch it.

"They are a group of overconfident guys! They don't know how to assess the strength of their target." Rocky shook his head as he saw their reckless stance. It was clear to him that even if all these students worked together, the result would just be the same.

"I've got to heal myself first!" At the same time, Carla was still unwilling to give up. She then took the opportunity to heal herself, thinking that she could still join the battle afterward. Hence, she walked to a secluded area and sat down with her legs crossed. Then, she started healing her wounds and injuries while paying close attention to the ongoing battle. Rocky let out a sigh as he looked at Carla. Then he crossed his arms over his chest as he examined the overall situation.

Before long, Eunice also suddenly appeared in the area.

"What's going on? Why is there a demonic spiritual beast here?" Eunice asked as soon as she arrived.

So, Rocky gave her an overview of what happened so far.

"I didn't expect that a spiritual beast in the Phantom Valley would evolve into a demonic spiritual beast. This is such a rare occurrence," Eunice uttered in disbelief. "What are you planning to do? Are you going to join them?" Rocky asked with a smile as if trying to test her.

"No, that's ridiculous. A demonic spiritual beast is not something that a human warrior can tame. Even if they managed to catch it, they won't be able to keep it," Eunice said, fully understanding what it entailed to encounter a demonic spiritual beast.

"You may be right, but I'd like to try my luck," Rocky suddenly said. In fact, the only reason why he didn't make a move yet was that he was waiting for Eunice. All of these people wanted the Purple-flaming Phoenix for themselves. Thus, he needed someone that would actually back him up to completely subdue the transformed spiritual beast.

"You? Are you being serious right now?" Eunice asked as she stared at Rocky cynically.

"Why? Is there a problem?" Rocky replied as if it wasn't a big deal.

"Of course, there is! This Purple-flaming Phoenix's strength has evolved into the advanced stage of the Spiritual Infant. Do you know how powerful that is? Even a King Realm spirit warrior with advanced Spiritual Infant or a King Realm master with an Imperial Soul may not be able to tame it. So, how can you do it? Quit daydreaming!" Eunice said dismissively.

"It's too early to say that. Anyway, I've already made up my mind. I guess we'll just see later if luck is on my side," Rocky said with a confident smirk.

"Whatever. Just be sure that you don't die. We still have a task to carry out." Seeing that Rocky had really decided to subdue the demonic spiritual beast, Eunice could only remind him not to put his life in danger.

"Don't worry. I'm still waiting for the perfect opportunity. After they finish fighting later, the Purple-flaming Phoenix should be already tired," Rocky remarked.

"Do you think they can do something against it?" Seeing about thirty disciples who were simultaneously attacking the beast together, Eunice couldn't help but ask.

"Of course not. It is too strong for them," Rocky answered as he shook his head.

"Then how are you planning to subdue it? I bet they won't just stand idly while you try to capture it," Eunice asked in confusion. She just couldn't imagine how Rocky would be able to win against it, knowing that others would readily take advantage of the situation.

"I'll just wait for sunset to come." Rocky said flatly.

"Sunset? Why? What for?" Eunice was even more confused at Rocky's answer.

"The power of the Purple-flaming Phoenix's body belongs to the masculine property. It means that this kind of spiritual beast is very powerful during the daytime. However, once the sun goes down, its power will begin to weaken." Rocky actually analyzed this based on his experiences.

"How did you know that? That's pretty new to me. I've never heard of that theory before." As Eunice heard that Rocky was so sure, she also realized that it sounded logical.

"Well, it's no big deal. I'm a natural expert when it comes to spiritual beasts," Rocky boasted without hesitation.

"Ha! You can brag about it after proving that what you said is true!" Eunice was actually intrigued by Rocky's theory, so she wanted to see it for herself.

Meanwhile, while Rocky and Eunice were talking, the number of the King Realm warriors had steadily dropped to less than twenty. Those who quit were either injured or had given up because they couldn't bear the domineering power of the Purple-flaming Phoenix anymore. It was actually a wise decision that they didn't continue fighting. Otherwise, they might even suffer greater losses.

At the same time, although there were still some powerful disciples who remained to fight the ferocious beast, they were still very far from defeating it.

Just before sunset, only ten disciples were left struggling. On the other hand, the Purple-flaming Phoenix still didn't show any sign of weakness as it took the disciples down one after another.

Not long after, the sun finally started going down. As night time began, there was still a hint of afterglow in the sky.

Eventually, before its power began to weaken, the Purple-flaming Phoenix had defeated all of the remaining disciples who struggled against it.

However, the demonic spiritual beast showed no sign of stopping because it got extremely infuriated for being attacked for so long. It immediately rushed towards the retreating disciples with the intention of killing them all.

Seeing this, the disciples were scared out of their wits and scrammed to save their lives.

While it was chasing down the disciples, for some reason, the Purple-flaming Phoenix suddenly diverted its eyes to Eunice. Then, it accelerated at a low altitude and rushed at her with all its might.000
