The Medallion
Chapter 1551 Met The Commander

Maxwell was touched by Rocky's words. He had never met anyone as kind as Rocky, especially after entering the army and being constantly bullied. He swore to himself that he would follow Rocky's lead in the future.

Then, Rocky took Maxwell out of the Magic Spiritual Space and returned to the locust tree.

"Remember, this secret stays between the two of us. Don't tell anyone, even those closest to you," Rocky reminded.

"Got it. I'll keep it a secret." Maxwell nodded.

Once Maxwell left, Rocky went back to his Magic Spiritual Space where he continued his experiments. He didn't return to his residence until the next morning.

When he arrived at his residence and was about to push the door open, Eunice opened it from the other side and came out.

"Where did you go last night? Why didn't you come back?" Eunice asked as she squinted.

"Didn't you say that I wasn't allowed to come back?" Rocky reminded her.

"I asked you not to return before midnight. I didn't ask you to stay out all night," Eunice corrected, glaring at him.

"Forget it. A man and a woman staying in a room alone would easily attract gossip anyway. Although there's no difference between men and women in the army, I should still be careful. I can rest in my Magic Spiritual Space from now on," Rocky suggested.

"If that's what you prefer." Eunice said nothing more.

At that moment, Bertram walked towards them.

"You two are up early!"

"Deputy Commander Fei." Rocky nodded.

"Our commander returned last night. He asked me to accompany you to meet him this morning. If you both are free now, please follow me," Bertram instructed them politely.

"Alright. Thank you."

Then, the two of them left with Bertram.

They soon arrived at a tent within the center of the Tiger Whisker Pass. When they were about to enter it, they heard a voice cry out. "Uncle, help me! That newcomer Basil broke my hand. The arrogant brat even went so far as to insult you."

Rocky sneered upon hearing the voice.

Eunice couldn't help but look at him. She immediately understood that he must've caused trouble again.

Rocky remained calm. He appeared to not be surprised at all.

"You two wait for me here. I'll go and inform our commander!" Bertram then went straight into the tent.

Apart from Tucker Wang who was the commander of the Tiger Whisker Pass and two other deputy commanders, Elliot, who Rocky taught a lesson yesterday, was also in the tent.

With a runny nose and tearful eyes, Elliot explained to the commander his "tragic" experience.

"Why haven't I heard of this Basil you've mentioned? Do we have a recruit who goes by that name?" Tucker Wang immediately inquired the two deputy commanders at his side. Both of them merely looked at each other and shook their heads.

Bertram overheard what Elliot said too, but he remained stoic. He cupped his hand together and informed Tucker Wang, "Commander Wang, the two spirit warriors of the Sky-suppressing School are waiting outside."

"Oh! Let them in," Tucker Wang immediately hinted. He heard that the Sky-suppressing School intended to send their representatives to compete in the Spiritual Infant Contest after six months. The representatives were powerful and talented, which encouraged him to treat them well. There were only a few powerful spirit warriors who remained in the army's main force. And there were even fewer of them at the King Realm.

"Commander, but your current business is not finished yet..." Bertram asked as he glanced at Elliot.

"Elliot, stand aside first," Tucker Wang commanded with an impatient wave of his hand.

Elliot stood to the side despite his reluctance.

Bertram immediately turned around and walked out of the tent. He then told Rocky and Eunice, "You both may enter now."

Rocky nodded and walked into the tent along with Eunice.

Eunice was the first to enter. As soon as she did, she immediately caught Tucker Wang, the two deputy commanders, and Elliot off guard with her beauty. They never expected that a woman as gorgeous as her would be one of the two spirit warriors representing the Sky-suppressing School.

'What a beauty! If I could get her to commit to me, I'll be quite pleased! I must have her...' Elliot thought to himself as he stared lustfully at Eunice.

As he continued to gawk at her, Elliot trembled as soon as Rocky entered the tent. He pointed at him and exclaimed angrily, "It's him! He broke my hand."

Hearing that, Tucker Wang and the two deputy commanders looked at Rocky in surprise. They never expected that the person responsible for hurting Elliot would be a spirit warrior of the Sky-suppressing School.

However, Rocky ignored Elliot as if he was invisible. He cupped his hands in front of Tucker Wang and said, "I'm Basil. It's a pleasure to meet you, Commander Wang."

"I'm Eunice. Greetings, Commander Wang."

"You came all this way, yet I couldn't welcome you both in person. My sincerest apologies!" Tucker Wang stood up to greet Rocky and Eunice politely.

"We understand that you're quite busy with your military affairs. You didn't need to receive us personally," Rocky assured him with a calm smile.

"You're too kind. It's an absolute honor to have you here!" Tucker Wang said politely.

"Commander Wang, what positions do you intend to appoint us in the army?" Eunice asked directly as she was very straightforward.

"Well..." Tucker Wang hesitated. He had yet to decide on what Rocky's and Eunice's positions in the army would be.

Although there was a distinction between ordinary soldiers and spirit warriors in the army, the strongest spirit warriors were generally at the sixth or seventh grade of the Spirit Realm. And those who reached the King Realm were often appointed as deputy commanders. Rocky and Eunice were at least at the medium stage of the Spiritual Infant, so their strengths would be as powerful as a commander's. Therefore, it wouldn't be easy to assign them with suitable jobs. If he arranged for them to do simple jobs, then their talent and potential would be wasted doing petty tasks. On the other hand, assigning them high-ranking positions would most likely be looked down upon and rejected by the other leaders in the army.

"Commander Wang, you haven't made up your mind yet, have you?" Eunice asked.

"Because of the power you both possess, it's difficult for me to arrange suitable positions for you." Tucker Wang was slightly embarrassed. He didn't expect the Sky-suppressing School to send such powerful spirit warriors. Thus, he was unprepared.

"I wouldn't mind if you appointed me as a deputy commander. It may be somewhat of a "downgrade", but I'll take it," Eunice suggested directly. In fact, she wanted to lead the army to battle for so long. That was a rare opportunity that she wanted to seize and enjoy experiencing.☐☐☐☐☐☐☐☐☐☐☐☐
