The Medallion -
Chapter 1722 Cure Her Wounds
"Really? Or is it because you're afraid of being pestered by her?" Esteban asked with a snicker.
"Oh please, I'm not that charming," Rocky retorted. His face was on the verge of turning red.
"It's not up to you whether or not she thinks you're charming. She's your fiancee, boy. Be nice to her..."
"But I didn't do anything bad to her!" Fed up, Rocky couldn't help but lash out.
"Then cure her wounds because I'm going out tomorrow." Esteban finally went straight to the point and asked him to treat Valeria's wounds.
"Where are you going?"
"It's a secret!" Esteban said teasingly.
Rocky shook his head and let out a small smile before going straight to the pharmacy located in the depths of the Ghost Palace.
After a good night's rest, Valeria came to the Ghost Palace the moment she regained some of her strength.
"Is Master Esteban here?" She greeted Rocky with a question.
"He's out for a few days," Rocky replied.
"What? What about my treatment..." Valeria quickly cut off her question.
"Of course, I will be the one to treat you," Rocky said while taking a quick glance at her.
"What?" Valeria thought she misheard at first.
"Huh? What's the matter? Can't I treat you?" Rocky teased with a warm smile.
"No, it's just..." Valeria hesitated again.
"When did you become so shy and hesitant? It's not like you," he said frankly.
"Well, I just don't think your medical skills are good enough." Valeria racked her brain trying to replace an excuse.
"Of course my medical skills are far from my master's, but I'm still more than capable to treat your wounds. If you don't want me to, then you're free to go."
Noticing Rocky letting her go that easily caught her off guard. Her face turned bright red in embarrassment, but she knew better than to let her pride get the better of her. She had to cure her injury as soon as possible, or else it would affect her cultivation.
After mustering some strength and courage, she finally managed to say, "Fine, you can heal my wounds!"
"Then lie down. I need to check your injury first." Rocky put a smile on his face.
After hesitating for a while, she finally lay down on the ice jade bed inside the pharmacy.
Rocky followed closely and walked to the side of the bed before releasing his spiritual power to cover Valeria. He then began to sense her body for any injuries.
"Your injury is more serious than expected. Especially after being eroded by the demonic aura last time, your meridians have been damaged..." he said while his eyes narrowed with concern.
"Can it be cured?" Valeria anxiously asked.
"Yes, but it will take some time. You may also need to soak in medicinal liquid." It only took a short while for Rocky to come up with a plan.
"Soak in the medicinal liquid? Is the procedure complicated?" She had many worries. It would be her first time undergoing such treatment, but she knew she had to do it. Even Elder Leticia couldn't cure her, so she was left with little to no choice.
"No, but while you are soaking in the liquid, I have to use needles on your back, so..." Rocky's foggy answer didn't help with her anxiety.
"Is there any other way?" Valeria understood what he meant.
"This is the only way to cure your wounds completely," Rocky answered seriously.
Valeria grew flustered. She was worried that Rocky might use the opportunity to take advantage of her.
But if she didn't let him cure her wounds, it would surely affect her cultivation soon. After putting much thought on it, she could only nod at Rocky to signal her agreement.
"It's too late today. Come back tomorrow. I also need to prepare."
"Okay." With that Valeria quickly got off the ice jade bed and took a quick glance at Rocky before leaving.
As soon as she left, Vivian arrived.
"Two beautiful women already visited me. Is this my lucky day?" Rocky jokingly said as soon as he saw Vivian enter the pharmacy. Since she was always aloof, Rocky couldn't help but mess with her. "Who came here just now?" Vivian didn't replace his joke funny and coldly asked him.
"Valeria..."
"Why did she look for you?" Vivian asked curiously.
"What's it to you? When did you start to get all gossipy?" Rocky laughed to tease her even more, crossing his arms over his chest.
"Do you want to die?"
"No, I don't. She just came here so I can heal her wounds," Rocky uttered.
"Well, it seems that you've finally made some progress in your relationship." Vivian's cold face softened a little.
"What do you mean?" "Nothing. It's just better not to be hostile towards her.
Plus, she's already your fiancee. It's for the better if you two get along. Maybe we and the Flower Fief will finally be united because of your marriage," Vivian added.
"Are you here to persuade me to marry her?" Rocky smiled bitterly.
"I don't have the time to do that. I'm here to look for Master Esteban."
"He's out to deal with something. He might be absent for a few days," Rocky answered.
"A few days?"
"What's the matter? Is there anything I can do to help?"
"I'm afraid you can't help me. I have a disease since I was a child. On the fifteenth day each month, I'm cold all over. Only Master Esteban can prescribe medicine for me to relieve it. I've used up the medicine he gave me last time. I came here so he can prepare more for me. I'll just return when he comes back."
"The fifteenth day? Then it will be the day after tomorrow. Can you endure it without medicine?" Rocky asked her with a worried face.
"I think I can get through it. I'm leaving now." With that, Vivian left the Ghost Palace.
As soon as she left, Rocky immediately began to prepare for Valeria's treatment the next day.
At the same time, the teams of the other three Godly Geniuses also returned to their own fiefs to report to their leaders.
When the leaders learned that the Nether Dragon King openly submitted to the Godly Genius of the Ghost Fief, they knew they couldn't just stand idly by. This was no mere coincidence.
They immediately ordered their spies in the Ghost Capital to collect as much information as they could about the Godly Genius.
Gloria looked for her father and leader, Adrian, as soon as she arrived in the Genie Fief.
The sight of his daughter made Adrian's face twitch in anger.
His anger against his daughter had been growing even more ever since he received the message from Gilbert. He wanted to personally take Gloria home, but there was something more important for him to deal with. Thus he had to send someone to the Ghost Capital, but it didn't help as she sneaked out of the leader's mansion and disappeared without a trace.
"Father..." Gloria knew that her father must be angry, so she immediately tried to grab her father's arm and soothe his nerves.
Having enough of her attitude, Adrian waved his hand and a strong spiritual power pinned Gloria to stand right where she was. "Don't try to fool me. You have made such a big mistake this time!" Adrian yelled in fury.
