Allie's nagging pissed off Vivian even more.

Judging from what happened today, she could see clearly that Allie was an even bigger idiot than Janet. "Relax. You did well. Everything's going according to plan," Vivian said with a confident smile.

This was a slow-acting scheme.

Even if Allie couldn't extort a large sum of money from Janet, the documents Janet copied had a virus.

The second Janet clicked on one of the documents, the damage would be done. Then, the next step of Vivian's plan would commence. Allie didn't know what was going on, and Vivian's cryptic answer didn't help. She was getting more and more annoyed. She should've asked Janet to pay more.

She only got five hundred thousand dollars from her. How unfair!

Seeing that Allie wanted to make money off of both parties, Vivian felt disgusted.

The five hundred thousand she had gotten from Janet and the money provided by the Turner family was actually enough for Allie to live a stable life. What a greedy bitch!

"What's on your mind? Do you think you didn't get enough out of this?" Vivian asked with a meaningful smile.

Allie didn't dare to say anything more. She forced a smile and said, "No, I'm just wondering where I should go next. Brandon runs both Seacisco and Barnes. I have to stay away from that damned man from now on. If anything happens to Janet, just tell me. I want to know when that bitch gets what she deserves."

"I'll tell you if anything good happens." Vivian agreed with a knowing smile.

After parting ways with Allie, Vivian went back to the Turner family home.

By now, Vivian was practically the second daughter of the Turner family.

Because she was good enough to please Catherine, everyone else in the Turner family treated her with respect.

When Vivian arrived, Luke and Catherine were in the middle of dinner.

"The company has been declining lately. Today, a foreign company said that it wants to merge with ours." Luke sighed wearily. "Janet even came this morning to bother us. I doubt she'll stop harassing us anytime soon."

Luke and Catherine were so disheartened after Charis died. It seemed they didn't really have the will to keep going.

"I don't want to see that damned couple ever again." Catherine was also exhausted.

After hesitating for a few seconds, Luke suggested, "How about we deal with this once and for all? Call them over and let them see whatever they want to see and hopefully, they'll stop bothering us after that. I too don't want to see them again, but with the current strength of the Larson Group, we can't win."

He knew that times were changing.

Ever since Brandon went to Barnes to set up a new branch, all the other companies had been buttering up to the Larson Group. The Turner family's companies were now isolated and helpless. Catherine found herself agreeing with him. Ever since Charis's death, she had felt that many things in life were meaningless, just like this fight with the Larson Group.

"Do whatever you have to. I don't want to see them anymore. Every time I see them, I think of Charis." Catherine heaved a long sigh. The food on her plate now seemed tasteless. "Luke, I'm planning to move to a quiet place, maybe the countryside. If you want a divorce, I won't say no." The relationship between Luke and Catherine had always been on the rocks. He had cheated on her over the years, but Catherine always turned a blind eye to his unfaithfulness.

However, after suffering the pain of losing his daughter, Luke had never even looked at another woman since.

Tears coursed down his cheeks. He held Catherine's hand and said firmly, "I don't want to divorce you, Catherine. I'll go with you to the countryside. I too want to stay away from all this." What? They were going to move to the countryside? Vivian clenched her fists. She just stood behind them, listening to their conversation quietly.

If they moved away, who would stay to avenge Charis?

With a straight face, Vivian walked out and said in a booming, cold voice, "No! You can't leave!"
