The Other Part of Me -
Chapter 28
Cassie
When she awoke in the morning, Braden was snuggled against her back, his arms wrapped protectively around her. His face snuggled in the crook of her neck.
"How the hell did you get in, you crazy bastard?" She whispered, carefully trying to unwind herself from his body without waking him.
He stirred, renewing his hold on her. "Jason brought me a spare key," he answered sleepily.
She froze for a moment before chuckling. "You weren't supposed to hear that."
She felt the pressure of his erection pressing against her backside. Her hips instinctively gravitated to him, longing to be filled by him. His hands moved under the hem of her t-shirt, cradling her breasts with his hands, her nipples budded immediately. He ran his tongue behind her ear, nibbling in the process. "Wolves hear everything, love." He pushed a leg between both of hers, barely caressing the bare skin between her knees and her lower thighs. The minimal contact sending a ripple of teasing sensations through her body.
She shuddered, then moaned.
He laughed with his mouth against her skin. "Does that mean I'm forgiven?"
She turned around in response, opening herself up to him completely.

Hours later, after they had finished breakfast, they walked out of the dining area holding hands. He halted her once they were just outside the facility entrance. He leaned down so their heads were touching. His hand lovingly caressed her abdomen before letting it rest on her belly.
She kept her eyes on his magnificent lips.
He sighed. "Jason and I are going into the city for the replacement window. We need to talk when I get back."
"Is everything okay?"
"It will be." He leaned down a little to peck her lips.
She stared at his retreating body. Once he was gone, she stared at the ornate mahogany door he had exited through, wondering what he wanted to talk to her about.
Still feeling the lingering sensations of his touch, she moved her hand to where his had been and noticed she could rub her gut a little bit like one would a crystal ball.
"Oooph, Eva. We gotta get on that, ASAP." She told her wolf. Eva did not respond, which had become the norm of late. Better asleep than dead, she thought as she went in search for Bridgette. The two were going to finally see the schoolhouse today.
Cassie knew Braden's eyes and heart were always with the pack's future, so she wanted to involve herself with the kids to see how she could complement Braden's agenda.
They stood outside by the classroom windows, looking inside the classroom. Bridgette was showing her the way the classroom was divided by knowledge, instead of grades, as Cassie was accustomed to.
They walked to the front of the building, where the daycare area was.
As soon as they entered, Molly, toddled straight to her mom. "There's my little pup," Bridgette picked up her daughter and nuzzled Molly's neck. "I love her scent." She exclaimed before offering Cassie a whiff. "Sniff her!" Cassie leaned over and inhaled. "Mmm... baby smell is delicious." She grabbed Molly's foot and pretended to take a bite. "Why are you so delicious?" She asked, pretending to take another bite.
Molly squealed with laughter and offered Cassie her foot for another helping.
When the tour was over, Cassie and Bridgette walked back towards the pharmacy.
"I saw your broken window," Bridgette commented. "What happened?"
Cassie stared at the grass path ahead and shrugged. At the end of the day, she really wasn't sure herself. "I know Braden did it, but I don't know why," she answered. "I let my wolf out to go for a run, next thing I know Braden's wolf catches up with me and starts fights with other area wolves."
Bridgette gasped. "That doesn't sound like him."
Cassie shrugged. "I wouldn't know. Bottom line, I don't really know who he is." She thought about the shower scene. "When we came back, he threw me in the shower and washed me, apparently until I no longer smelled like one of the wolves he was trying to fight."
Bridgette laughed. "The only time my Thomas behaved irrationally wild was when I was expecting a pup. Male wolves get ridiculously jealous and protective of their mates when they're-," Bridgette stopped and gasped. Her eyes moved to Cassie's midsection.
Cassie frowned. "What is it?"
"You're pregnant!"
