It had already been 3 months since the prophecy was announced, and a lot had changed. In the first search party that went after the first blade, Devas went along with Uncle Aidan and thousands of fighters. We didn't expect a surprise and didn't think that we would replace it right away, so I didn't expect them for another month or two. When they came back, the next group was already waiting to relieve them and continue searching until we replace it. Father decided that I shouldn't go because discovering me for Abbadon wouldn't do us any favors. In the next troop, all my friends signed up, and I was grateful that they took it seriously, but I was also very worried for all of them. Aunt Inna missed her mate very much, and as Uncle Aidan's right hand, she was responsible for the training in his absence. My father and mother were often at Bellatorum to help her, but I knew that Vaell and Miriel were her greatest help.

I was also often at Bellatorum to train and to better master and test out my new powers. After a few weeks, Innia and I decided to move into the beach house that was at Bellatorum and where we deepened our bond for the first time. Nyllis was so upset about the move and insisted on staying at the mansion because her friend was there and she missed Eliana terribly. So Innia decided to fulfill her wish and leave her in the mansion with my mother and father and spent her day there while I trained. During this time she became a very good friend of my sister, and I was happy about her new life, which she coped with so well.

Eliana and Innia grew together very quickly, and through their friendship, I also noticed how my sister felt. The pain that Eliana felt for her mate as her friend also affected her, and so I felt it too. Every evening when Innia came to our home in the beach house, I felt her sadness for my sister, and I also knew why. I decided to talk to Anak and release him from his promise because there was no longer any task for him. I was able to protect myself and my mate, and her brother Jacob was also safe here. So why torture him anymore? Anak was ready to fight for us, and like Evelyn, he was capable of doing so, only he would then lose his immortality, but he had to be ready for that and not just hold on because he thought it would protect us.

As soon as I freed him from his mission, he went to Eliana and completed the soulmate bond and lost his immortality. My sister's happiness was finally complete, and I was happy for her. When Anak came to Bellatorum more and more often to train because he was no longer immortal, Eliana also came to the island, and a house was built for her near us. Nyllis was then ready to come to us, and she couldn't replace it so bad being taken to school every morning from there. Vaell and Miriel joined us, and shortly after Eliana and Anak, they also built a house near us, and so we were a small community in the big one. Noran and Baldior were in the first search group, and I knew that when they came back, they would join us too.

Life went on for everyone as if this huge burden wasn't on us, but it was. Father already prepared so much for when the first blade would be found, strategies were made, weapons were prepared, new armor was made, and mother and Evelyn helped him with it.

Only I felt useless at the moment. I couldn't look for the blade and couldn't do much from here. And my mate also sensed my impatience and uselessness through our bond. She was there for me and helped me feel better. She was my soul, my whole life, and our love gave me strength. I looked at my sleeping beauty as she slept like all the nights before and asked myself if I was able to protect her. Not because I doubted my strength, but because without the blade, the prophecy could not be fulfilled.

When Devas and Uncle Aidan came back with the first search team, I wasn't surprised when they didn't replace anything - I knew it wouldn't be that easy.

The second search team also came back without success, and this continued for months without success, always alternating between some coming and others leaving.

After two years of searching, the only thing that happened was Deona's dream that led to her soulmate, Aldaron. Aldaron already knew it, and he told me this too, but seeing Deona's face when she found out was priceless. The once cheeky Deona, who laughed at us all, was suddenly in her element full of love and care for Aldaron. Nova found her mate soon afterward at training with one of the soldiers, the son of my parents friends. And when Jacob found his mate with Aunt Ava's assistant, he found his way to school with Nyllis that day proved to be the best of his life.

Our small community on Bellatorum became a little bigger not only because of the houses but also because of the children that were created. Noran and Alya had a daughter, and Baldior and his mate Alea already had their second son. It was always painful to see the children and mates saying goodbye, and the men setting off on new searches.

Since the night we saw the father of all beings, he hasn't shown himself to me, neither he nor Michael, but I knew that everyone was waiting for the first blade to be discovered. Days, weeks, months, and even years passed with no sign of the blade, and all I could do was wait.

I was again sitting in bed, looking at my mate as she slept when someone knocked on our door. The noise startled her, and she looked at me in shock. When I opened the door, I expected everyone except Devas, who last went searching three weeks ago. His face was tired, and the separation from his mate was bothering him, which was visible, but when he saw me, he smiled at me.

"We found it!" He simply said and nodded, aware of what this meant.

The war council was called immediately, and we all met with father in the mansion to talk. When I held the blade in my hand, it didn't look as expected at first glance, just a large pointed bone that resembled an animal's denture.

But when I touched it, I was fully aware of its power. While everyone was talking at once, I just stood there staring at the blade.

Different plans were heard all at once, and opinions were divided, debates arose, and the voices became louder and louder. I stood at the window and looked at the blade. I knew it had so much power and its own will, just like the mark, and all of this led to the arguments I heard behind me. It fed on power, and there were many powerful beings in this room, but I also felt myself being drained. So I did what was best, and I locked it with my powers into the ancestral space where it was safe and could only be freed by me again.

As soon as I did that, everyone calmed down and looked at me expectantly, aware of the power that could not only save us but also destroy us. This could end really badly. Everyone was looking at me, waiting for my orders, and all I said was, "I need to talk to Michael."

I took my mate by the hand and left the room to do the only safe thing, and everyone stayed behind and waited. I need answers, and I knew who could give them to me. I need to talk to Michael.
